Strong Bad's Strength
From Homestar Runner Wiki
Even though Strong Bad's name, as well as those of his brothers Strong Mad and Strong Sad, imply that they are physically strong, Strong Bad's true strength is demonstrated with ambiguity in the Homestar Runner universe. He is sometimes shown to be weak and out of shape, but there are also instances where he is incredibly strong.
Strength
- Strong Bad shows no difficulty in carrying the supposedly 42-pound Lappy 486, even with one arm.
- Strong Bad is quite adept at kicking The Cheat, who is said to weigh 18 pounds.
- Email invisibility — Strong Bad knocks the Tandy 400 off the desk with a single punch. Later, while imagining the things he'd do if invisible, Strong Bad punches Homestar Runner while carrying eleven boxes of Swiss Cake Rolls in the other hand.
- A Decemberween Pageant — Strong Bad pulls Homestar Runner above the stage using a rope and pulley. However, he cannot lift him all the way, stating "[the] guy's like a frickin' house" before dropping him. Combining information from Marshmallow's Last Stand and Pom Pom's Character Video suggests that Homestar weighs 100 pounds.
- Email unused emails — Strong Bad bodyslams the Compy 386's keyboard to delete the email, and breaks the desk in half.
- Email the process — Strong Bad hurls a "discount" brick at Homestar Runner (and misses) with such velocity that it travels in a straight line and near instantaneously smashes something off-screen.
- Email the bet — Strong Bad hoists the "Typing Tutor" arcade cabinet over the King of Town's head, intending to drop it on him. The average arcade cabinet weight tends to be between 250-300 pounds.
- Email car — Strong Bad punches Homestar Runner in the face so hard, the back of his head cracks the wall behind him, and he begins uttering nonsensical sentences.
- Email animal — Powered by The Cheat Strong Bad asks Baby Styles if she wants to watch him "bench press a lot of weights".
- Email lady...ing — Strong Bad throws an anvil into a crowd after being booed.
- Email secret identity — Strong Bad (off-screen) literally picks up and throws Homestar Runner and the King of Town across the computer room and out of his house.
- Email specially marked — Strong Bad throws a heavy and pointy cereal box toy at Homestar Runner hard enough to knock him off his feet.
- Email concert — Strong Bad throws a vinyl record at Strong Sad so hard that it shatters and embeds a shard in his head.
- Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 16.2 — Strong Bad walks out of Marzipan's house carrying her amp.
- Kick-a-Ball — Strong Bad kicks an inflatable ball across the playing field.
- Compy Catalog — Strong Bad pulls a 450-pound bag containing 80,000 pennies from Hammerspace and tosses it onto his mailbox with ease.
- Strong Bad Sings on Vinyl! — Strong Bad has no problem in using a 100 gram record to knock Strong Sad down off of his feet.
Weakness
- Original Book and Strongest Man in the World — Though Strong Bad claims to be the strongest contestant, he could not hold 22 of the giant grapes without The Cheat's help, while Homestar Runner and Pom Pom could do it by themselves. The grapes fall on top of him once Homestar puts his down and removes The Cheat.
- Marshmallow's Last Stand — Strong Bad loses the "War for the Star" after being barely able to fight Homestar Runner at all, with the exception of him shoving a bomb down Homestar's throat and punching him in the stomach, which ultimately backfires.
- A Jumping Jack Contest — Strong Bad gets Strong Mad and The Cheat to dress as and stand in for him during the contest. Towards the end, he is shown lounging by a pool.
- In Search of the Yello Dello Commentary — After Strong Bad says he wouldn't trust Pom Pom any farther than he can throw him, Strong Sad remarks that he "must trust Pom Pom a whole lot". According to his character video, Pom Pom weighs 4 pounds.
- Homestar Quiz — The quiz sheet on Strong Bad's desk reads "Strong Bad isn't so strong after all. If he tried hard, which of the following could he lift?", and lists the choices as "an ounce", "a weak", "a week", and "pepper".
- Strong Sad's Lament — Strong Sad writes that Strong Bad's punches do not hurt him, while Strong Mad's punches do.
- Email stunt double — Strong Bad claims that "only big wusses and lesser wimps" use stunt doubles, and yet he uses Strong Sad (wearing oven mitts and a paper bag with his face drawn on it) as his stunt double. At the end, he again assures that he did his own stunts.
- Email date — A 3D polygon-rendered Homestar Runner says that "Strong Bad's muscles could beat [him] up". However, this is likely untrue, as this takes place within a computer program written by Strong Bad that contains other pieces of self-praise.
- Email lady fan — Strong Bad cannot do a single push-up, and claims he could do at least four in the past.
- Email strong badathlon — Strong Bad says that Homestar Runner can beat the crud out of himself harder than he can.
- Homestar Ruiner — Strong Bad cannot carry a small weight on a pogo stick without lightening the load with balloons.
