'''Stinkoman''' (also spelled '''Stinko Man''') is [[Strong Bad]]'s [[20X6]] counterpart. He is an amalgam of [[anime]] clichés. This includes having blue hair; big eyes; a blocky sort of body; a head shaped like a bean; a mouth that is very small when closed, very large when open, and out of sync with his speech (a parody of poor dubbing). He also has a [[Green Tongues|tongue that is sometimes green]], and an obsession with [[challenge]]s and fighting. He was introduced on January 6, 2003 in the [[Strong Bad Email]] [[japanese cartoon]], which makes his birthday fall exactly one week before [[Trogdor]][[dragon|'s]].  Even before the introduction of the Stinkoman character, his name was mentioned in [[island]] when [[Homestar Runner]] calls Strong Bad "Stinkoman".  Stinkoman also stars in the game [[Stinkoman 20X6]], which [[The Brothers Chaps]] introduced in the [[NYU Talk - 1 Mar 2005|NYU Talk]] and later released on [[homestarrunner.com]].

Stinkoman's theme song, which accompanied most of his early appearances and featured pseudo-Japanese lyrics (actually the words "Challenge" and "Fighting" repeated as if spoken by a Japanese person), was actually a background tune from the NES racing game [[wikipedia:Rad Racer|Rad Racer]]. The composer, [[wikipedia:Nobuo Uematsu|Nobuo Uematsu]], would later be famous for the soundtracks of the [[wikipedia:Final Fantasy|Final Fantasy]] games and the main theme of [[wikipedia:Super Smash Bros. Brawl|Super Smash Bros. Brawl]].

Stinkoman employs technology to arrange, engage in, and practice for his challenges.  He has a [[Cell Phones|cell phone]] which he uses to challenge [[Marzipan]] in [[Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 8.0]]. When the distance to his foes is too far, he whistles for the [[Stinkoman 20X6 Playable Characters#Stinkowing|Stinkowing]] for transportation.  According to [[alternate universe]], Stinkoman uses his friend [[Vector Strong Bad]] as his "training simulator", but when he's not preparing for upcoming challenges, he relaxes by playing the [[Nintendo|Nintendo Entertainment System]] at [[Stinkoman Headquarters]]. Stinkoman's favorite foods appear to be chicken soup with dumplings, [[bread]], power crunches, pudding, and [[prawns]], as seen in Stinkoman 20X6.

Various facets of Stinkoman's persona refer specifically to characters in real-world popular culture. In particular, Stinkoman is very similar in build to the NES incarnation of [[Wikipedia:Mega Man (character)|Mega Man]], who also had blue hair at one point. In fact, Stinkoman's sprite in ''Stinkoman 20X6'' is a modified version of the original Mega Man sprite.  

Stinkoman's lines, "Are you asking for a challenge?!" and "No way, you're just a kid! Maybe when you're older!" are very similar in both content and intonation to messages spoken by the ''[[Wikipedia:Mega Man 8|Mega Man 8]]'' boss Tengu Man: "Are you worthy of my challenge?" and "It's just a kid, don't make me laugh!" The line "No way, you're just a kid! Maybe when you're older!" is used several times in the anime movie ''[[Wikipedia:Akira (film)|Akira]]''. The 20X6 and ''Akira'' connection appears again in an Easter egg in [[3 Times Halloween Funjob]]. It is thought that his voice is based on [[IMDb:nm0164682|Cam Clarke's]] rendition of ''Akira'''s protagonist, [[Wikipedia:Shotaro Kaneda (Akira)|Kaneda]].

When Stinkoman grits his teeth, [[Wikipedia:Plus and minus signs|plus signs (+)]] make up the cracks between them. The character [[Wikipedia:Donkey Kong|Donkey Kong]] in the original [[Wikipedia:Donkey Kong (video game)|''Donkey Kong'' arcade game]] was also depicted with plus signs to indicate the separate teeth in his mouth. Finally, Stinkoman has worn the [[Halloween Costumes|costume]] of another Japanese cartoon character, [[Wikipedia:Speed Racer|Speed Racer]], as seen in [[3 Times Halloween Funjob]].

Stinkoman has a strange habit of eating dirt, such as when he finds the time capsule in the email [[time capsule|of the same name]]. Additionally, in [[Under Construction]], he tastes what he thinks is dirt even though it turns out to be [[pudding]].

His trademark attack is the "[[double deuce]]", which shows him holding his "hands" in front of himself and shouting "DOUBLE DEUUUUUUUCE!!!" while a glowing aura surrounds him, similar to various attacks done by Goku in [[Wikipedia: Dragonball Z|Dragonball Z]].
