This page is a mess. There's already the manual transcript. Is this needed? --Joshua 05:11, 24 Mar 2005 (MST)

I think it is a necessity for a Homestar Encyclopedia, especially with actual pictures of the characters, and possible strategies. --Dex 06:45, 24 Mar 2005 (CST)

 • Alright, but it needs MAJOR work. --Joshua 07:19, 24 Mar 2005 (MST)

I'll start adding pics. --Color Printer 09:44, 24 Mar 2005 (MST)

I'd appreciate it if someone would turn this into a table. I have no idea how to do it.--It's-a me

I don't see how this could be turned into a table and look nice. I think it's fine as it is, but if you could describe what you're thinking about, I'd be happy to do it. →FireBird

Well, we could divide it through the levels, and one section could be the image, the next could be the name, and the last could be how to a description and how to kill it.

Oh, I see what you're saying. I'll get to work on it! →FireBird

Thank you.--The guy who's name you know

Oh, and I'd also like to thank 207.177.0.9, for doing so much work on the page.

Don't mention it, I needed to kill an hour, but would someone please find an accurate number of how many shots it takes to kill those things. Wow, now that I look at this, I should have stopped by here earlier, could've sped the whole thing up a lot. And thanks to that dude thats adding pics, but whoever made the table got rid of a pic, might want to fix that..... That didn't take long. Maybe you could include what levels the enemies are found in in the table.

Yeah, I got sort of lost during that. If you'd like to add them, go ahead. If you need any help, just ask me or anyone else. →FireBird

Could you add a New Colum for me, After description, entitled 'In Level(s)' otherwise I'll add it to the discription.

Done. To add to it, simply put a space after the description, then add "||", another space, and then the level. Good luck! →FireBird

Thanks, got that done, but somethings up with the Stobat

I fixed it.→FireBird

Thanks, I think my part in this is done, at least until they add more levels, 'cause I can't do anything about the pictures.

I should be working right now, so naturally I'll go snap some shots of the un-pictured baddies. sekhmet 11:07, 25 Mar 2005 (MST)

Okay, looks like just about everything is in place now. Also added a couple of hazards which weren't in the manual, and the items from level 3.2. I didn't remember if the spork things showed up in level 2.1 or 2.2, so if someone could go fix that up, that'd be great. sekhmet 12:54, 25 Mar 2005 (MST)

Um, aren't the Greggo thingys supposed to imitate that enemy with the construction helmet in the old Megaman games? I think it was called Metall. Exact same behavior. Boos only moved if you weren't looking in their direction, but Greggos seem to move until you make direct eye contact on their plane. weirdguy

 • I'm positive it's a reference to Metools, seeing as the entire game's graphic system is based off of the old Megaman games. The only difference is the Metools would try to shoot at you, and that was when their weak spot was shown. That was always a pretty bad design on Dr. Wily's behalf. Nevrmore 10:11, 27 Mar 2005 (MST)

I love how the smaller, automatically-generated thumbnail image for Stlunko is about twice as big filesize-wise as the original, larger picture. sekhmet 14:48, 25 Mar 2005 (MST)

Images

I think an effort should be made to make all the images the same width. As it stands now, it makes my eyes hurt. - Dr Haggis - Talk 17:49, 25 Mar 2005 (MST)

I agree. Same width = page format goodness. -- Tom 14:00, 26 Mar 2005 (MST)
Me and my brother helped make a new Stobat image. I think we did it in a way that could be copied by all other regular enemies: made 100 pixels long (height variable), transparent background and (if wanted) an animated gif. Anyways, I wouldn't mind making some more baddies like this if other people like it. --Joshua 14:21, 27 Mar 2005 (MST)

That Flower Guy

Thanks to a certain...level editor...I have found out that the fireball requires 3-4 hits to destroy. Should I add that? --Color Printer 17:09, 23 Apr 2005 (UTC) P.S. I don't remember if it was 3 hits or 4...

What kinda level editor? what 'choo talkin' 'bout?? Homfrog 00:43, 12 December 2005 (UTC)

Bluetant

Should we really include a separate entry for "Bluetant"? After the Stinkomanual update, it's still not listed, and it is identical to Browntant aside from color. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 23:12, 24 May 2005 (UTC)

I already did that. User:Stongbah

But it really doesn't need to be there, since it's just a Browntant with a different color. I say go with Jay's idea. —FireBird|Talk 18:22, 25 May 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, my comment is that we DON'T need a Bluetant entry, and shortly after writing this, I erased "Bluetant" and just merged it with "Browntant". "Bluetant" is not an official name, and the enemy is identical to Browntant in everything except color. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 18:45, 25 May 2005 (UTC)
I put bluetant as a seperate entry originally since I thought it would be in the manual when it was updated, possibly with a reference to the browntant as the up/downtant had. It wasn't, so I agree with Jay's decision here --phlip 00:22, 26 May 2005 (UTC)

I think we should put a seperate entry for Bluetant because The 2 "unknown" enemies weren't listed in the manual but they're in the game and they have a seperate entry. Fullbide

The nameless ones need separate entries. They're completely unique enemies. The only difference between the Browntants in levels 6 and -0 is colour. Unlike, say, Frotzer and Gaspeau, they operate completely the same. To me, it's a call back to old games like Super Mario Bros., where the enemies had varying colours depending on the level (but were otherwise identical). They're only a different colour for one reason: to make them more pleasing to the eye. --DorianGray

I would agree with Dorian Gray's idea. We do not need a "bluetant"entry. It's a recoulored Browntant. It's just recoloured to make it look more pleasing to the eye. NO!!! PLEASE... DON'T SHOOT!!! Tampo (T/C) AND SOMEONE GET THiS FREAKiN CURSOR AWAY FROM ME!!!!!

Frotzer And Gaspeau

How do you people know which is Frotzer and which is Gaspeau?209.104.139.221

Actually I think that the blue one is Gaspeau since it's the one that "Flies in like a lion and out like gaspeau" the red one simply flies back and forth. I don't really think it matters that much though. PAUAU

When I made the walkthrough I just guessed, really. For some reason the connotations of "Frotzer" seem more "blue" to me... I was probably linking it mentally with the word "frost". However I've since opened up the Flash file in a decompiler, and Frotzer is definately the blue one. --phlip TC 15:16, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Don't be so sure. Notice in the level 4 object library, it says Gaspeau trigger and not Frotzer Trigger. The blue ones are triggered by your progress, while the red ones just stay in the same spot the whole time until you kill them. But I still think frotzer is blue for some reason. I guess that's just the way I thought it at first, and that's the way I like it I suppose..., --Darklinkskywalker 17:49, 2 Jul 2005 (UTC)

I'd just like to say I think Gaspeau is the red one 'cause it appears first in both the game and manual.

To add on that, Chorches come before Greggoes and Greggoes come first. Amy Whifflepoof

Wow, I don't know what I was thought I saw when I did the decompiley thingy, I just checked again, and the blue one is definately "EnemyGaspeau". Plus the trigger is labelled "Gaspeau Trigger" as DLS said. The word "Frotzer" isn't anywhere in the game internals, the red guy is just Chorch with a different appearance, so it just flies back and forth like Chorch. Umm... yeah. So I guess I'll go change them all now. Sorry guys. --phlip TC 13:17, 1 Oct 2005 (UTC)
All done, I think. Still no idea why I thought they were vice-versa. --phlip TC 13:32, 1 Oct 2005 (UTC)

The red one is Gaspeau and the blue one is Frotzer beacause if you do a google search for Gaspeau and Frotzer the Red one is Gaspeau and the blue is Frotzer. Fullbide

The red one is Gaspeau because in the manual it said in flies in like a lion and out like Gaspeau, And the Blue one is Frotzer beacause it has the word "frost" in it. NO!!! PLEASE... DON'T SHOOT!!! Tampo (T/C) AND SOMEONE GET THiS FREAKiN CURSOR AWAY FROM ME!!!!!

The blue one is Gaspeau and the red one is Frotzer because I tried doing a google search for Gaspeau and Frotzer and Gaspeau was the blue one and Frotzer was the red one was Frotzer and in the level 4 object library and the flash decompiler it's labled Gaspeau Trigger and not Frotzer Trigger, but I still think the blue one is Frotzer and the red one is Gaspeau for some reason. NO!!! PLEASE... DON'T SHOOT!!! Tampo (T/C) AND SOMEONE GET THiS FREAKiN CURSOR AWAY FROM ME!!!!!

When I did a search for Gaspeau and Frotzer, Frotzer was the blue one. Stothos / (my talk)

When did you do this search? NO!!! PLEASE... DON'T SHOOT!!! Tampo (T/C) AND SOMEONE GET THiS FREAKiN CURSOR AWAY FROM ME!!!!!

I did it in late September. Stothos / (my talk)

The only search results for Frotzer and Gaspeau came from HRWiki, as you can see on this page. NO!!! PLEASE... DON'T SHOOT!!! Tampo (T/C) AND SOMEONE GET THiS FREAKiN CURSOR AWAY FROM ME!!!!!

In late September we said Frotzer was the blue one. But now we changed it so for the google searches, Frotzer's the red one. NO!!! PLEASE... DON'T SHOOT!!! Tampo (T/C) AND SOMEONE GET THiS FREAKiN CURSOR AWAY FROM ME!!!!!

I hate to restate what was said below, but the only relevant google images should be coming from hrwiki.org, as you can see on this page. --videlectrix.pngENUSY discussionitem_icon.gif user.gifmail_icon.gif 15:45, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, Google is the worlds best source. Don't argue with the facts. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 18:54, 9 October 2005 (UTC)
The only (relevant) Google Images results for Gaspeau and Frotzer come from HRWiki - so since we were wrong to start with, Google is wrong since it's based on what we said. --phlip TC 20:11, 9 October 2005 (UTC)
I kinda was sarcastic there. It is pretty obvious now. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 00:32, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

Cabbage

The cabbage thingy is in all versions of the object library, not just the first one. It is just not in the main scene after the first. So quit changing it. Get a flash decompiler if you don't believe me. --phlip TC 00:19, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Well, I don't see him in level 4, 5, or 6 object libraries. Only the first one. Show me where he is in all these other versions. Cause right now, I don't believe you. --Darklinkskywalker 17:44, 2 Jul 2005 (UTC)

He said that it isn't in the main scene. If you've got a Flash decompiler, see sprite 386 in the v5 object library. --videlectrix.pngENUSY discussionitem_icon.gif user.gifmail_icon.gif, 07:06, 7 July 2005 (BST)

What the hell is a Flash Decompiler? --Darklinkskywalker 19:10, 8 Jul 2005 (UTC)

A Flash decompiler is something that disassembles the elements of a Flash (swf) file, and allows the individual objects to be exported as necessary. And just by poking around in the objectlibrary.swf file, it is very easy to see that the cabbage is still in there. If you're still confused, try Googling "Flash decompiler". --videlectrix.pngENUSY discussionitem_icon.gif user.gifmail_icon.gif, 18:31, 9 July 2005

Fullbide

One of the new enemies names is Full Bide. Most likely the laser shooting one. --Technochocolate 14:15, 4 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Where did you find this? --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 22:27, 4 Jul 2005 (UTC)
Never mind. I see it now. The object library. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 22:28, 4 Jul 2005 (UTC)
That said, since it reads "Full Bide Trigger" (emphasis mine) it's probably the "Yellow Ship", not the "Laser Robot" --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 21:27, 6 Jul 2005 (UTC)
Told you. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 05:51, 7 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Blue disapaering clouds

Shouldn't these be in obstacles? They were a big part of level 6...

I agree. — —Darklinkskywalker|Talk_|i did this stuff_ 15:11, 4 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Clean Up

 • All the images need to be transparent and the same size.

FireBird|Talk 22:23, 4 Jul 2005 (UTC)

The yellow dot things

They look alot like Gels from the Legend of Zelda series, should this be mentioned?

Should we add that Stafulter can be killed with a certain cheat program? And also, that cabbage-type-dude appears in some custom levels on the fanstuff wiki. --Darklinkskywalker 18:45, 13 Jul 2005 (UTC)

By the way, I think GIFs are way better than PNGs. Why not make every picture into a gif? It would look alot better. --Darklinkskywalker 18:46, 13 Jul 2005 (UTC)

There should be no mentions of cheat programs on this page. Cheat programs are unofficial fanstuff. Also, pngs are a preferable image format UNLESS you are doing animation. While I agree animated gifs would be the most appropriate for this page, until animated gifs are made of all the enemies, we should stick with png. Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 19:22, 13 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Green things

 • Should it be noted that the green capsules resemble the poison mushrooms from the Mario game the lost Levels? Rogue Leader / (my talk)

Maybe. They do look and seem alot like poison 'shrooms.. — —Darklinkskywalker|Talk_|i did this stuff_ 15:12, 4 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Stobat

Something is wrong with the stobat. He looks kinda orange instead o' yellow. And shouldn't the bones be in the animated gif along with him? --—Darklinkskywalker|Talk_|i did this stuff_ 15:16, 4 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Cabbage-like thing

The balls from the cabbage-thing resembles the Poorbts fists. That means nothing, but my theory is, that it was unused foliage but taken out because it looked like an enemy. Possibly an earlier enemy or is it nothing to worry about? --Dinoshaur 10:37, 15 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Um, I'd say that they're unused stuff, or they're going to be on another level. --MrsCommanderson 01:34, 26 Aug 2005 (UTC)

The letter P

In Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, you need to get a P (The letter, duh) to fill in the name of an enemy so you can defeat him... could the P you collect in 3.2 be a refrence? --MrsCommanderson 01:34, 26 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Probably not -- I think it's just the usual TBC absurdism.--151.203.182.181 05:32, 3 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Harvax XVII

Has it been brought to anyone's attention that the description of Harvax (small but speedy squid or octopus) aptly describes the "unknown" enemy in Level 9? --Redmond 22:40, 15 October 2005 (UTC)

*blinks twice* Actually, I didn't notice that until just this moment. Wow, you're pretty sharp. --DorianGray

Also, the unknown enemies seem to fly in pairs in a circular pattern. I already changed the description to say this, so if anyone wants to comment on that, may as well do it here. --Redmond 23:47, 15 October 2005 (UTC)

Evaporating Clouds

I think I'm the first one who noticed this, but evaporating clouds deserve a place in the "Other Hazards" section. Can someone add an image for this? When I tried to do this, it didn't turn out right.--~~Ampi~~meowarchives 03:57, 24 October 2005 (UTC)

Nevermind. I got it to turn out the way I wanted to.--~~Ampi~~meowarchives 04:54, 24 October 2005 (UTC)

Deciding not to waste a new section and posting here, I think the walls in level 9 should be an other hazard too. -FaceCrap 13:56, 31 December 2005 (UTC)

How in the world did someone

found out what the enemies are called? — Nikolce Kocovski 23:20, 16 November 2005 (UTC)

They're listed in the Stinkomanual. :) — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 23:21, 16 November 2005 (UTC)

Name change

I don't like this being "Stinkoman 20X6 Enemies", because it includes items too. I know that moving just the items to a new page isn't very pratical, so can we change it to something like "Glossary" or something like that? --Color Printer 18:21, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

I don't know. This page is quite long, enemies might be good on their own page and the hazards, items and bosses could go somewhere else. Making it glossary would make "Playable Characters" want to move as well, making a rediciously long page even longer. - Joshua

But couldn't you consider the bosses to be enemies? LePorello / T / C 14:01, 31 December 2005 (UTC)

I think that the enemies, items, bosses and hazards should all have thier own page. NO!!! PLEASE... DON'T SHOOT!!! Tampo (T/C) AND SOMEONE GET THiS FREAKiN CURSOR AWAY FROM ME!!!!!

Items

I think we should put a seperate entry for each item rather than putting only one entry for the apple, ear, P and the soap.

Unnecessary. If all the items do the same thing, why bother adding a separate entry for each? -Marth 99 17:50, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

But They're all different items. Stothos / (my talk)

I understand that, and all four types are listed together. But its pointless to separate them when they all have the same purpose. Also, Stothos, why are you using Tampo's sig? -Marth 99 18:24, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

Yeah. You should use your own sig, not anyone elses. NO!!! PLEASE... DON'T SHOOT!!! Tampo (T/C) AND SOMEONE GET THiS FREAKiN CURSOR AWAY FROM ME!!!!!

{edit conflict} Maybe one reason for combining is that the page is already really long. Also, remember the function of the wiki: it's not a stamp collection, it's a sorta-encyclopedia-type-thing. The point is that people get the information; how the information's organized is secondary. I.e. changes to a page's layout should make the info easier to get; I can't really imagine anyone needing to know about the "P" but not needing to know about the other three! —AbdiViklas 18:27, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
