- Oh and there was this one time I reverted something. I was pretty proud of myself after that. It made my day, actually. My pathetic, no-lifer day.
Well, okay.
I guess I could like, write a little bit about my experiences with the website. My best friend introduced me to it back in early ought-four, all the way back when different town was the newest SBEmail. Those were the days. The glorious summer days of drinkin' lemonade, messin' around on Sims 2, and just plain hanging out with my best The Cheat, The Cheat. (After becoming hooked on the site, which didn't take long, I promptly nicknamed her The Cheat. I don't know why. Maybe because she's my sidekick-type person. Or because her hair is yellow like The Cheat's fur, sans spots. I also nicknamed myself the King of Town for my renowned ability to clean out your fridge of all leftovers before you can say "postlethwaite".)
Ironically, I would have been introduced to it earlier, as she had tried several times to send me a link to the SBEmail anything over AIM, but for some reason my Flash player didn't like it or something. Also, as a result, I think that was the first 'toon I ever saw (I was over at her house and she had taken the opportunity to finally show it to me).
Wikiwise, I honestly have no idea how I stumbled upon this Wiki (my memory is old, rusty, and riddled with gaping holes and mildew). Um...that's about it for the Wiki. I hang around, I guess. Fix things that need fixing. Peruse random pages over lunch.
Things I Am Not
It's infinitely more amusing than just writing about things that I am.
- I am not six years old, although I act like it pretty much all the time.
- I am not a fan of metal. In fact, my favorite music genres are classical and opera. Yes, opera. But I still find the Chaps' references to rock music to be hilarious, as is Limozeen.
- I am not European.
- Contrary to popular belief, I am not, nor have I ever been, a gopher. My relations to any rodents are tenuous.
- I am not an obsessive Chapman stalker. I respect their privacy and personal lives just as much as I'd like my own to be respected. But I do appreciate their occasional DVD appearances, because they are really funny guys.
- The reasons I like H*R are fourfold: 1. The Chaps' sense of humor is very similar to my own. 2. The dynamic between Mike and Matt reminds me very much of the dynamic between my sisters and I, especially when we were younger and all the times doing crazy things. 3. I highly appreciate their constant references to the 70's-90's, hearkening back to the simpler times I loved so. Oh past decades and pixelly video games, I pine for you. 4. It's so wacky and ridiculous, it's great for when I just need some relaxing time. I have no idea why that is.
- I am not one of those people who has a list of favorite 'toons and quotes; they're all so awesome, I can't possibly play favorites. And I regularly work quotes into my everyday speech (regardless of context), so...yeah.
