[edit] Page Move

Hey, Super Sam. It has been suggested that this page should be moved to HRWiki:Subtitles/ListLoafing 09:30, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

Oh noes! My previous userpage! I'm sure I'll live. (moves page. to the max!) - Super Sam 09:34, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
Lol! It's a really cool page, by the way.  Loafing 10:15, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Games

Some games can be subtitled, and Strong Bad Zone already has. Don't forget those! - Joshua 14:20, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Not showing, why?

Main Page 15 was added, but this page doesn't pick it up. I thought it was automatic... Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 04:34, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

I see it there - assuming you're talking about the English subtitles, that is. --Jay (Talk) 04:37, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
I'm referring to that exactly. I don't think I loaded this page till after it was uploaded. So I doubt it's a cache thing. Very odd. What needs to be recached to allow new things to show? Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 04:41, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
I opened a new browser (one I hadn't used before for this) and loaded the page. Main Page 15 shows no subtitles available. So how does this work? Use small words, please. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 04:45, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
(singing) Purge it, baby, purge it! Loafing 05:54, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
I can see it. And add a purge button at the top of the page. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 05:55, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Table width

I'm not sure how it'd be done in wiki syntax, but the second column of table goes off the screen to the right. Can this be fixed so it remains on screen? I'd do it in HTML with % units, but I don't have a clue how to get that to work in wiki. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 03:10, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "Make" links

I thought this was a good idea, but wanted to see if anyone else agreed. Instead of seeing a little hyphen, you'll see a red "make" link linking to the page you should create. If not, go ahead and let me know. I was just being bold and all that. --Jay (Talk) 23:25, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Order

Wait a minute. Why are some of the toons arranged in chronological order, and some arranged in reverse chronological order? Shwoo 07:10, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Wow, I never noticed that. I think it's because the toons were copied from Toons, where they are kept in reverse chronological order (for some weird reason), and the sbemails list was probably generated especially for this page... Hmmhmmm, I don't think it's a big problem, this page is only used "behind the scenes" (and it seems like a lot of work to re-sort everything ;-) Loafing 09:49, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Idea and suggestion

While browsing the subtitles list I noticed there are a few items that do not have subtitles pages either because they have no .html file or have no sound.

  • For the former (no .html) I have a simple suggestion to make: why not archive those .swf files in our site, make container .html pages for them and use that for the subtitles pages? (Would even just having quick and dirty html pages on the archive site that point to the .swf's work also? Or the script can't handle that?)
  • As for the latter (those with no sound), although some like Decemberween in July menu have very little text (which could still be potentially translated) , other toons, like Pom Pom, Too have english text that would need to be translated into the appropriate languages (english, spanish, etc). I think english translation pages (much like vcr cheat/es) would be a good requirement to have for such pages so that other language translators can use them as a template.

It would be nice to have subtitles for all toons but doing that would involve overcoming many technical hurdles, but addressing these two points would be nice. Very nice. :) --Stux 16:34, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
