Talk:Duckie Shirt

From Homestar Runner Wiki

I noticed that this is a redirect to Homestar Runner. Shouldn't the Duck Shirt have its own page? There are certainly enough occurrences of it. If anyone agrees that it should be made, I'd be happy to do it. Trey56 22:35, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

It was in more than flashback and the store? — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 22:40, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
Well, it appears in Main Page 20 and briefly (in green) in Making of Email 100...probably other things too. Trey56 22:45, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
After taking a look in the history, I found that the article used to be about the storybook version of Homestar and not the duckie shirt itself. Has Matt? (talk) 23:10, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
This looks like a lot of appearances, but isn't it really just one? Everything is based on flashback. — It's dot com 04:17, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
I suppose you're right. On the other hand, it's an important enough object that they decided to make a real-life shirt out of it, and I wouldn't be surprised if it appears again in the future. Furthermore, I cite Yella Paint, Big Old Tree, Hamburger Shampoo, and The Paper as articles which are based on a more obscure item from a single toon.
In closing, I won't be offended at all if it is decided to delete this article, so go ahead if it's for the best. And I was kidding about The Paper :) Trey56 15:19, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Paragraph form

Is it misleading to include all four appearances as separate items? Could the information be better organized in paragraph form? Trey56 15:54, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I think that would be better. Has Matt? (talk) 15:59, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
I'll make the change. Trey56 16:02, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Eagle shirt

The video commentary for the SBemail "The Paper" shows Strong Bad saying he put his Devil duck shirt and Homestar's duck shirt into the washer and dryer together and it turned out to be, in his words, an Eagle flag. he says he made them duke it out, and he also said: "It's like they mated and had a little baby, an eagle flag." I'm wondering if both duck shirts are gone! -Jibblejibblejibble 03:22, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
