[edit] Do we need?
Is someone going to search for "Eggs (disambiguation)", or how is anyone going to come across this disambig? Nothing links to this.. the Eggs article already guides people to the other eggs articles. Let's delete this! Yay! OptimisticFool 20:39, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
- In other cases, I might say "Rename this 'Eggs' and rename the Eggs page 'Eggs (inside joke)'", but I don't think we have any pages named "___ (inside joke)". It just sounds odd. Yeah, Eggs covers this enough already; baleet. StrongAwesome 22:20, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

- Hi, I'm from a decade in the future, and I say d-L33T v3.0. (That's how we talk in the future.) There's no reason for this page to exist for the reasons stated above. We could rename Eggs to "Eggs (inside joke)" and move this disambiguation to "Eggs", but what would be the point of that? The disambiguation already exists at the top of each page, so we don't need a separate page for it. Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 02:42, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- I would disagree with the delete but instead rename to "Eggs" and move that Eggs to something like "Eggs (inside joke)" (a discussion that should also happen in that page perhaps? Or at least it should link to this discussion). Personally, I think that if a topic has 3 entries, the disambiguation at the top of a page isn't enough. Not only that, this page an make the disambiguation headers simpler by saying "for more uses see diambiguation" instead of "for a see A and for b see B" as its currently used. "Eggs" is generic enough a term that it could easily refer to any of the current 3 distinct topics: a toon, a concept and an inside joke. We don't even have to rename if we make use of the disambiguation in the header, although it's harder to do so with only 3 entries. Four entries would definitely benefit from a disambiguation page. Three is like that difficult middle that doesn't quite work in both cases i think. --Stux 12:16, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- I disagree that three entries related to a particular topic requires a disambiguation page. There are plenty of pages with multiple disambiguation links at the top — Interviews and Public Appearances, Fhqwhgads, Arcade Game, The Robot (storybook), and Senor, to name a few. "For a see A and for b see B" is simple enough that a disambiguation isn't necessary.
- That said, this "is three entries enough?" issue would become irrelevant if Rotten Eggs was added, increasing the number of entries to four. Then we can link to this disambiguation at the top of all of the egg-related pages. (In that case, though, I still don't think any renaming is necessary.) Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 19:43, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
- Someone went ahead and added Rotten Eggs, so I went ahead and added links to the disambiguation at the top of some of the pages (and added two more egg-related pages). Now that this page serves an actual purpose, I think the {{tbd}} notice can be safely removed. Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 05:47, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
- Okay, so I can see where 3 items might be okay to avoid a disambig, but I'm drawing the line at 4! ;) Anyway, thanks Gfd for consolidating all the easter Egg disambig stuff. I hadn't realized there were so many different Egg-related items on the wiki. I like the new setup! :) --Stux 22:24, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
