[edit] Pictures?

How about adding pictures? And/or making it a table? smileyface.PNG11945 (Talk/Ctrbs) 14:36, 30 October 2005 (UTC)

I was thinking more of a gallery, then a table. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 14:42, 30 October 2005 (UTC)
That would work too, also.smileyface.PNG11945 (Talk/Ctrbs) 14:43, 30 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] All?

Are we going to do all the posters in the HSR world? Like, even those in other realities? smileyface.PNG11945 (Talk/Ctrbs) 18:05, 30 October 2005 (UTC)

Why not? Elcool (talk)(contribs) 18:08, 30 October 2005 (UTC)
I was just wondering. Don't forget "MAW" and "PAW" from the Li'l Brudder show. smileyface.PNG11945 (Talk/Ctrbs) 18:13, 30 October 2005 (UTC)
I won't ;) Elcool (talk)(contribs) 18:33, 30 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] photographs?

What about photographs that are displayed onscreen, but not on the walls?

  • Include on this page?
  • Include on new page?
  • Don't include anywhere?

smileyface.PNG11945 (Talk/Ctrbs) 18:31, 30 October 2005 (UTC)

Can you give an example? Elcool (talk)(contribs) 18:33, 30 October 2005 (UTC)
Um, okay. "Sir Loodabert Comma and Sherpa", the Limozeen picture from monster truck, the glossies from Secret Pages, etc.
I don't think they belong on this page, but we better wait for more feedback. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 18:45, 30 October 2005 (UTC)
That would open quite a big can of worms, since there's alot of said images on the site. Plus the line gets blurred pretty easily since many easter eggs are just an image superimposed over the toon. Is it a poster or not? (Such as battle Axe lessons, Bubs' pizza box, ect). Thunderbird 17:45, 31 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Gallery

Making them all into a gallery would look like this page does. Would that work? smileyface.PNG11945 (Talk/Ctrbs) 22:11, 30 October 2005 (UTC)

Not realy. You see, new users can't tell if a certain pictures come from this room, or the other. I think clumns are the best choise for all the empty spaces. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 17:33, 31 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Page Title

Has there been any discussion of the title of this page? I remember seeing something about "Posters & Paintings"; did that get changed to this? At any rate, I think a different title would be nice, since the current one isn't exactly what I'd put in the search box if I wanted to find out about (well,) a poster or painting. Perhaps "wall decorations"? —AbdiViklas 18:04, 31 October 2005 (UTC)

I agree, the title isn't suited for the atricle. Atleast, not when users tend to search for it. Homestramy20|Talk 18:08, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
Unfortunately, Lapper, Smileyface and I were really hungry when we decided on a name. We were really hungry and tired and sorta confused and ended up putting this name in the headline. Ok, now to reply. Posters and Paintings was taken down because we think that things like the No Loafing Sign is, well, a sign. not a poster nor a picture. same thing with Halloween Fairstival events. Wall Decoratins? Maybe. If someone don't come up with a better name. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 18:13, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
I... guess... I could try and think of something... Umm... Nope, can't think of anything. You know what, the name is fine. I'm still a but concerned about the search results though. Homestramy20|Talk 18:17, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
What about... Fish & Chips? (Oh wait, I guess I'm too hungry to come up with a good name too. Sorry 'bout that). Thunderbird 18:19, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
How'bout Paintings as a redirect (Posters already is)? —AbdiViklas 18:20, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
I enjoy the simplicity of "Hanging Objects." Straight to the point - it's a quality they generally share. In contrast, consider "Informational Signs, Inspirational Posters and Decorative Paintings Mounted On Walls and Sometimes Trees Or Occasionlly Not Mounted So Much as Hung." Not so simple. — THE SMOKING MONKEY 18:22, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
I like TSM's suggestion. We could always abbreviate it to ISIPADPMOWASTOONMSMAH. It's got a nice ring to it. Thunderbird 18:26, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
I like AbdiViklas's idea. Another redirect to this page should clear up the whole problem. And, I have to agree, the name does cover the articles sake. So, it's all cleared up...Right? Guys? Homestramy20|Talk 18:25, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
Right, girl. And the redirects are done and done for. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 18:28, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
The current title is a whole lot better than "Eye-si-pad-pim-owa-stoon-mas-mah". It covers the subject matter well. So, when will this be ready to be un-orphaned? - KookykmanImage:kookysig.gif(t)(c)(r)
It's not orphaned.— Lapper (talk) 03:33, 1 November 2005 (UTC)
I'ts not orghaned because you and I link to it from our user pages. to day after school I'm gonna start with the linking. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 04:14, 1 November 2005 (UTC)
Say, wasn't that one of those names George Lucas considered for the protagonist of the next three movies? —AbdiViklas 03:44, 1 November 2005 (UTC)
Wait—User:The Paper has just introduced a new plot twist. What of the Horrible Painting? This page is clearly mainly devoted to posters and paintings, which include it, but it's not strictly a hanging object, at least in its current state. Although perhaps the page's title could be interpreted as "objects for hanging," in which case it works. And don't get me wrong, I've come around to preferring the current title. —AbdiViklas 17:42, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
I'm fine with it, as long as it's "Objects for Hanging" and not "Objects for Being Hanged". --DorianGray
Although ISIPADPMOWASTOONMSMAH is catchy ;), I like "Objects for Hanging". Or, "Posters, Paintings, and Pictures". Or, something else. smileyface.PNG11945 (Talk/Ctrbs) 18:02, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
I've heard the term "wall art" before, although it tends to have a negative connotation of art found simply because somebody needs something, anything, on the wall of their office or new suburban home, and actual artistic merit is less important than whether it fits the space and matches the decor. Also the term seems to be used as well for art executed on walls, like frescoes and murals. —AbdiViklas 18:07, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
Eight colons! Wow! Anyway, on to my cool words I had to say. The poster announcing the Halloween Fairstival events isn't exactly art, nor is Ol' Loafy.

[edit] Too Long, Clanky

Hanging Objects is getting quite long. I say we change to a table format, like Halloween Costumes, Toons, and other pages we have, instead of the gallery. --smileyface.PNG11945 (Talk/Ctrbs) 18:15, 7 November 2005 (UTC)

I think the gallery format is fine for the moment. —THE PAPER PREEEOW 18:27, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
I'll take on that project in an hour. I R F 18:27, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
An hour? What happens in an hour? smileyface.PNG11945 (Talk/Ctrbs) 18:31, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
This page looks fine, there's no reason to make a table. There's nothing to say about each individual poster. small_logo.pngUsername-talk 19:25, 7 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Strong Mad RD

Can someone crop this picture to have just the sign in there? Elcool (talk)(contribs) 12:56, 8 November 2005 (UTC)

done I R F 13:09, 8 November 2005 (UTC)
Not done. What's with the black part? Elcool (talk)(contribs) 13:15, 8 November 2005 (UTC)
Looks like two screen shots were taken, then poorly spliced together. — Lapper (talk) 13:19, 8 November 2005 (UTC)
One screenshot, the only way that you can see the 'rd' part is if you watch the fash file beacause the rest is off-screen. I R F 13:31, 8 November 2005 (UTC)
You're right about it being cut off. However, I still think that we can obtain a better screenshot, as the current one has JPEG compression artifacts within a PNG, resulting in a very large and inefficient file. When I have more time, I will work on getting a more suitable image uploaded. —THE PAPER PREEEOW 13:38, 8 November 2005 (UTC)
Go for it, if I was at home I'd have much more software to work with, but I never go to the wiki at home. I R F 13:40, 8 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] stub

This isn't a stub. DE STUB'D!!
Please sign your posts, Bubsty. I agree that this article does not appear to be a stub given its length. However, take a look at Fonts and Sound Effects and you will find this article is not complete. By removing the {{stub}} template, it may appear to other users that this list is an exhaustive one. I would still like to encourage users to find more instances where there are "hanging" objects — I'm not certain we've found them all...Could I have a second opinion on this one? —THE PAPER PREEEOW 20:02, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
Sorry for the time lapse, I don't come to this talk page often. I agree with The Paper here. We should go through every 'toon and email to make sure that all Hanging Objects have been accounted for. — Lapper (talk) 00:23, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Chalkboard?

Why is the chalkboard litsed so many times? I think the ones from A Jorb Well Done, sibbie, local news, and other days should be all listed as one. They are the same chalkboard. Also, what about the Dapper Swindler sign from Ballad of The Sneak? I think there should be an Old-Timey section with this and the Loafing not permitted. SaltyTalk! 00:29, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] HANG'D! (or hung)

I think that Space Captainface from space program would fit more into Strong Badia. I know its not a category, but chances are, there will be more hanging objects there in the future, so that should be made a category. There will never be any more hanging objects in space program. That is of the past. Get with the future. teeeffoh! 00:14, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

Definately. If its not already fixed, I'll fix it. — talk Bubsty edits 04:45, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
Actully, theres also the projecter screen, but I see thats in the classroom. — talk Bubsty edits 00:28, 13 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Exagerrations

Weren't there some hanging objects in that edisope? I can't get a picture of the DVD anyways, so someone could probably post it up. Yeah. --70.108.5.219 18:47, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Posters

After looking at this page's varied history, I noticed that this began just as a page for posters and then it was expanded. I've been wondering: would it be beneficial to, in addition to this page, have a list made just of posters used in H*R. I'm not sure about this, but right now there is no such exclusive grouping. That said, it seems a great majority of the entries in this page are posters. --Stux 16:58, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] New Sign In independent

What about the 'Art's House Opening' sign in The Field from independent?
