[edit] Vocal or visual indication
The fact about this page and Main Page 13 has been here too long simply to just delete it. Main Page 10, however, does not fit into the same category, because it does give a visual indication on that page of each button by way of the captions. — It's dot com 01:50, 1 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Annual Default?
- If you watch the intro on the Fourth of July, you will always be directed to this page.
This comment was added here on july 4th 1005 and removed here on july 4th of this year. I put it back looking for clarification and it was again removed with a claim that it was tried multiple years and wasn't true. The way i see it, if the effect is done server-side, then people in a different timezone wouldn't see it even if it was the 4th for them (and of course, it wouldn't work if you just changed your own date, which it doesn't), or it could have been done manually and they stopped doing it after '05. Can we get some sort of confirmation on this please? — Defender1031*Talk 01:20, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- I'd assume it was taken down. We haven't seen the Halloween Intro the past couple years, have we? --DorianGray 01:45, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- DeFender1031, get your facts straight! Main Page 12 came well after the year 1005! Anyway, archive.org does not have intro.swf dated July 4th of any year, so there's really no way to know if TBC temporarily replaced the page with a different intro anytime in the past. That I know of, anyway.

- Oh, shut up, i meant 2005. And i was hoping maybe some of our seasoned contributors may remember if this was true or whatnot. — Defender1031*Talk 03:03, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- I will confirm that on 04 July, I never got to this main page. I suspect it was only true when TBC put up the special Flag Intro, but abandoned it after the Flipper incident. wbwolf (t | ed) 03:11, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- What incident? — Defender1031*Talk 03:13, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
