"Wrong" sound — sound effect or music clip? — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 20:49, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Music?
- The music played for Games is part of the original Match Game theme.
- The music played for Downloads and Store is part of the original Family Feud theme.
I don't hear that. There's a similarity in rhythm and feel, but the notes are all wrong. FF's theme was in a minor key, for one. Can we find audio files of these themes to compare? - Qermaq - (T/C) 03:28, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
- Amazon has brief clips, but there's no way they are these themes. I'm going to remove them. If anyone objects, STUFF. - Qermaq - (T/C)

[edit] Store and Downloads: The Exact Same?
It sounds like the music from Store and Downloads are the exact same tune played at different pitches. 98.159.29.164 15:29, 17 October 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, they've clearly transposed the music. It's obvious and not very noteworthy. — Defender1031*Talk 17:03, 17 October 2015 (UTC)
[edit] Organizing Button Effects
This page's "Button Effects" section is naturally a little messier because there's dialogue. I find how it's currently written a little confusing to the eye; to have a character's quote (without a specified speaker and occasionally with stage directions) placed in the middle of a bullet point. I suggest something like this:
- Toons —
- The Ab-Abber 2000 from the Strong Bad Email suntan appears behind Homestar.
- HOMESTAR RUNNER: Contestant number 1, your name again is— {he looks at the cue card and squints oddly} "Toons"?
- Games —
- A poster saying "A Trip to Hawaii!" appears.
- HOMESTAR RUNNER: Now, time for our lightning round. We call it... "Games".
- A sign composed of flashing lights reading "GAMES" appears in the background and music is heard.
- Characters —
- A chair with a sign that says "$??" appears.
- HOMESTAR RUNNER: So, Characters, you were in a movie recently. {leans toward the "camera"} Tell us about that.
- Downloads —
- Store —
- HOMESTAR RUNNER: But if you guess correctly, you'll win... a new store!
- The background lifts, revealing the Gremlin while music plays.
- E-mail —
- The Blender appears, and a buzzer is heard.
- HOMESTAR RUNNER: No, I'm sorry. The correct answer... was "E-mail".
- A "wrong" sound effect is heard in the background and "E-mail" is displayed in a white font.
More lines, but I think formatting it a bit more like a transcript is quicker and easier to follow. Objections? Alternate suggestions? Should I go 'head? Lira (talk) 00:26, 8 September 2017 (UTC)
- I'd suggest indenting rather than sub-bullets, and formatting the stage directions as such, but otherwise seems good. Something like:
- Toons —
- {The Ab-Abber 2000 from the Strong Bad Email suntan appears behind Homestar.}
- HOMESTAR RUNNER: Contestant number 1, your name again is— {he looks at the cue card and squints oddly} "Toons"?
