[edit] Stub?

I've did some changes to the article. the point I am trying to make here is...it is'nt a stub. you can delort this and that.

What? The only change you made to this page was adding the link to the stub template four extra times. Why did you do this? If you thought this article wasn't a stub, wouldn't you remove the stub link? I'd like some clarification. -- Tom 14:31, 19 Oct 2004 (MST)

[edit] IMBS?

What proof is there that the Mike Chapman linked to in IMDB is the same Mike Chapman who does HR? --24.21.86.243 17:27, 6 Jan 2005 (MST)

Nevermind, researched it myself --24.21.86.243 17:33, 6 Jan 2005 (MST)

[edit] The Tech?

Is it really accurate to refer to Mike as "the tech" for HSR? In most interviews, TBC make it clear that both of them do the under-the-hood Flash work. Eric 13:56, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Poor Mike

Why come Mike gets a little stubby 2 paragraph article, and Matt gets a whole page that I had to actually scroll to read all of? They both deserve much love! Ookelaylay 19:47, 6 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Matt does more of the public stuff and interviews, so we know more about him than we do about Mike. Seems unfair, but we can't very well make up stuff to put here can we? small_logo.pngUsername-talk 03:16, 8 Jul 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Birthday?

I just watched Arcade Game using the rando link, and in the Easter Egg (Homestar's taxes) it mentions $2.07. Possible birthday for Mike? --smileyface.PNG11945 (Talk/Ctrbs) 16:24, 7 November 2005 (UTC)

I'm not sure... I never hear mention of when Mike's B-day was. Homestramy20|Talk 17:35, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
That'd be neat if we could solve it... And Matt's birthday is the first of November. --DorianGray
That's what I was thinking... --smileyface.PNG11945 (Talk/Ctrbs) 17:59, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
I didn't get much out of several Google searches; IMDB only knows what we know, that he was born in '73. I did discover that there's a Michael Chapman teaching physics at Georgia Tech. I think he makes this month's cover of Stupid Coincidence Magazine. —AbdiViklas 18:02, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
Don't forget this Michael Chapman on the cover of SCM. I'm also Google searching. --smileyface.PNG11945 (Talk/Ctrbs) 18:07, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, he was all the heck over the searches, since he also goes by Mike. I meant the coincidence with the phys prof was that he was in Atlanta. —AbdiViklas 18:10, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
Now that we know that his birthday is 9/20, can we backsolve and find any 920 references on the site? I R F 20:26, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
I can't find any. --DorianGray

Hey, how did we find out it was 9/20? That makes him exactly 15 years and six days older than me. --Jnelson09 20:28, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Check out his IMDB page, the exact date is listed there so I'm guessing that's where that information was acquired. --Stux 21:40, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Kinda, I got the information from Karen Wagner, IMDB got the information from me. I R F 09:56, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Ahhhhhhh! I didn't know IMDB was that accessible. I always thought they went only through the Screen Actor's Guild or something. Cool! You're a man of influence IRF ;) --Stux 15:43, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Family Tree

I've made a picture of the Chapman Family Tree. Does anybody mind if I put it up on this page? -AtionSong 22:54, 30 December 2005 (UTC)

You might want to take a look at how Wikipedia does it to get some ideas. -- Tom 05:05, 31 December 2005 (UTC)
I created a test tree here. Should I create a page, like Chapman Family and post it there? -AtionSong 17:42, 31 December 2005 (UTC)
Sorry, here's the link: Wikipedia:Wikipedia:Family trees, I made typo above. -- Tom 20:45, 31 December 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, I figured it out and deleted it. Thanks for the page. So, what should I do with it? -AtionSong 22:02, 31 December 2005 (UTC)
This convo seems sorta dead, so I'll put in my thoughts. I think that this isn't really necessary, since all of the info of family is already on their pages. But maybe we could make a Chapman and family category. Any other ideas? DBK! 02:57, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Voice of the Cheat?

We know Mike does the PBTC voices, but is he actually the voice of The Cheat? I keep hearing from various websites that he is. Danny Lilithborne 23:00, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

Matt does The Cheat, in both regular and PBTC toons, AFAIK. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 23:05, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
I've never seen visual & audio match-up proof of Matt producing a The Cheat noise. But I have seen and heard Mike do The Cheat (perhaps on a DVD), and it's just not the same. Matt does The Cheat AFAIK, too. —BazookaJoe 00:00, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
Quote from the Inkhole Interview:
INKHOLE: Do you even record new Cheat sounds?

MATT: You know what? I do! Which is ridiculous. There are probably thousands of Cheat sounds and it’s me pretty much doing the same thing. I’ve never even thought of that. I record new lines for The Cheat every cartoon. Maybe once in a while, if it’s just one line and he gets kicked or something, we’ll grab it from something else. But yeah, when we’re recording, he’s scripted in there like everybody else. I want to put out a CD that’s all the Cheat’s lines that tell you what he’s saying. Usually from context, you can tell what he’s saying. That’s hilarious. I’m going to keep doing it though, just because.
So I think it's safe to say that Matt is the voice of the Cheat. --phlip TC 03:52, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
Thanks, guys. :) Danny Lilithborne 05:17, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Music

We should probably change some of the album names for Mike's (and I think Matt's) page. Are they a little off? Like, instead ofv Modern Lovers- Modern Lovers, isn't it 'Precise Modern Lovers? It was just bugging me.

[edit] What DOES he contribute?

On the bonus toon "Exagerations", at the end, Matt says "I wasn't ready for those, Mike, and I made'em!". So that proves that Matt does the work!

[edit] Better Pictures

Chapman_Mike.jpg Chapman_Matt.jpg

It's always kinda bugged me the way we don't have any good clear pictures of the reasons we're all here. Would it be against any image policy I don't know about to upload these to the wiki and use them in their respective pages?--.Johnny Jupiter! talk cont 03:34, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Huey Lewis - Live At 25

Huey Lewis and the News is an oldies band that not many people have heard of, but I've loved it all my life. Recently, I was listening to one of the albums, "Live At 25," and I was reading that little booklet that comes with most CDs. Imagine my surprise when I saw that the performers for "Heart and Soul" were (Mike Chapman/Nicky Chinn). Yes, yes, I realize it could be a complete coincidence, but there is this huge photo of members of the band performing onstage and one of them looks just like Mike. I'll upload a picture so everyone can see the similarity. ~ CoachZ(talk · contribs)~ 23:47, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

First of all, Huey Lewis and The News isn't some obscure band, but had a string of hits in the 1980s. Secondly, Nicky Chinn is a British producer who worked with Australian Mike Chapman, and they cowrote and coproduced bands like The Sweet, The Knack and Blondie in the 1970s and 1980s. I would think that this duo is much much more likely to work with Huey Lewis than our Mike Chapman. Given when "Heart And Soul" came out, I'm not sure if that's a song writing credit, rather than a performance credit. I'm more disturbed that 80's music is being called "oldies".... wbwolf (t | ed) 00:12, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
Well, it's not some obscure band for people that grew up in that time period, but with the rest of today's youth, unfortunately, it's becoming less and less heard of. Anyway, you didn't have to be so matter-of-fact and snobby with your answer - how on earth was I to know? I noticed that they were both Mike Chapman, and thought it rather odd. ~ CoachZ(talk · contribs)~ 00:46, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Weird Al

On Weird Al's album "Weird Al Yankvovic" on the back it says special thanks to Mike Chapman. TheThin

23:13, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Chapman is a common last name so it's possible that it's not the same person. -PeterImage:Petersig.png 23:24, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Plus, at the time that the album was released, Mike was only 9 years old. Homestar-Winner (talk) 00:53, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Puppet Main Page

I think it's pretty safe to say that Mike voiced Shark-Tooth Bubs, since he sounded just like PbTC Bubs. It also sounds like he was Homestar 2. Should this be added? Shadoman 10:07, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
