[edit] Marzipan's first scroll buttons song
I think marzipan says: 'And thats how I like to scroll, with scroll buttons'.
- 'And thats why I like to scroll, with scroll buttons' DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE!!!!!!!!!
- Yes it does. She's saying that that's why she likes to scroll with scroll buttons rather than by any other means. Anyway, doesn't the new sbemailrap prove that?
[edit] Marzipan's second scroll buttons song
In the transcript it's written 'Scroll buttons are good, they move you up and down' while I'm sure what she says is 'Scroll buttons are good, they move you like they should...' after triple-checking. I didn't want to go ahead and change it so I put this up. »ßenit, known as señor« 22:23, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- I just checked. The transcript is correct. -- Tom 22:27, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Amazingly, I was going to make a note saying that I disagreed with Tom, but then I listened to the song, and he's right. And to think for a whole year I thought Marizipan sang, "they move you like they should." --BazookaJoe 23:41, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Darn, you're right. Well, whatever, I can admit defeat. »ßenit, known as señor« 23:47, 12 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Strong Mad sings (declined)
Strong Mad says "I'M STRONG MAD," which could be a reference A Jumping Jack Contest, in which Strong Mad poses as Strong Bad and says a similar line.
- Delorted This is just the kind of stuff Strong Mad says. Plus, "could be's" are 110% STUFF-worthy. Rudeboy87 20:01, 11 Apr 2005 (MDT)
- Or maybe he's just saying "I'm Strong Mad". Turn off your geekdar, kthx Delteated Dasrik 22:05, 11 Apr 2005 (MDT)

- Decline Strong Mad's lines rarely vary.
- INFINATELY SEVERE DECLINE-erson It sound alot more like a refrence to his own name! Why is it wierd for Strong Mad to introduce himself???? IT ISNT! ---erson 18:38, 14 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Uh...Crapstuff?Every statement made by Homestar in this email ends with the word "face." Posted on: 03:22, 28 April 2006 (UTC) VERDICT: This item was overwhelmingly declined, 15–2. The votes and arguments have been moved to HRWiki:STUFF/Archive/replacement. |
[edit] Butkus "reference"
I don't think that the real-world reference to Dick Butkus stated in the Wiki is correct. There are several people with the last name Butkus, and I know of at least one other than Dick who is "famous" -- John Butkus of Bungie. I don't think this reference was meant to refer to Dick, but rather as a silly last name that would be easy to poke fun at.
[edit] Ellipsis
If you use an ellipsis and follow with a capitalized sentence or sentence fragment, the preceding requires terminal punctuation. Therefore, the ellipsis requires a total of 4 periods - 3 for the ellipsis, 1 for the terminal punctuation. - Qermaq - (T/C) 02:44, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- It's one sentence. The is no noticeable pause in the toon for the phrase "Um... Crapface." "Crapface" is capitalized, I presume, because it's being treated as a name. Therefore, there doesn't need to be but one period in that sentence, at the end. — It's dot com 02:48, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Audio Glitch
I can hear the first 1/3 of a second or so of the easter egg at the end of the e-mail, even if i don't click "Cheats". There's about 5 seconds of silence followed by a loud distorted "UT" sound. Can anybody else verify this? - Poobslag
- Hi, and welcome. That sort of thing happens often. As I recall, that's notable as a glitch. Good ears. - Qermaq - (T/C) 19:49, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] "Delorted" goof
Okay, I've tried to elaborate on it. I don't have a Flash decompiler, so I'm asking someone out there to try that out and see what's actually wrong (or if this can be confirmed). --68.145.103.189 23:59, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
- I used a decompiler and blended several images to show how it would look if Strong Bad's head weren't in the way. Note, in the image, the word isn't actually on top of the Compy's screen; that's just for illustrative purposes. — It's dot com 02:39, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
This is obviously not a goof. We do not see any symbols displayed outside the screen, and there's nothing wrong with asking a computer to display the first part of a word that is too long for the screen. I'm moving this to Remarks. Loafing 02:50, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Sarcasm used with bad comment...
Strong Bad used a sarcastic tone for his "worst song" comment to Marzipan. That's kind of double-negative, isn't it? "Does that mean he actually liked it though?" is what I'm saying. --68.145.103.189 14:50, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- Minus the fact that he ended up using it. --68.145.103.189 14:51, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Kick Em In The Grill!
I think when Bubs says "Kick him in the grill!" it's a loose reference to "Kick Em In The Grill" by 3rd Bass. But that could be TTATOT. --MooT BooXLe 17:02 (GMT) 26 June 2007
[edit] Remarks/Cheats
The wording of this remark is a bit weird. Firstly, SB uses "Cheats" twice - in the response to the email, and in his epitaph. However, the way it's stated (not only missing the integral article, but pluralized too) brings up the question of whether SB is referring to "The Cheat", his pet, or "Cheat", the species. We know there's other "Cheat"s out there: Cheat Commandos, as well as an alluded-to-but-never-seen sister. Note that CC's don't have an integral article, implying that the species name is just "Cheat", rather than "The Cheat" (as stated in flashback). If we assume then that SB is referring to the species, and not "The Cheat", then this remark is invalid, as Strong Bad is saying that he kicks various Cheats throughout his life. -StarLion 17:26, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
- All other instances show the species name as having the integral article too, though. "Awesome! My very own The Cheat!" And some others I can't remember the exact wording of. --DorianGray 20:42, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] And that's why Homsar doesn't make the fluttery sound...
When Homsar is in the dance contest, the Homsar walking noise isn't present. --Fangoriously 17:51, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
