Template talk:scheduledchat
From Homestar Runner Wiki
I'm curious, is this notice template still in use? Is it now a history Item? --Stux 03:09, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, we haven't done one of these since, like, I started using IRC... --DorianGray 03:29, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bringing them back
I was talking in #hrwiki and I just randomly thought of this template and thought it was a good idea to start scheduled chats again. I had a recent forum discussion regarding IRC, and mentioned how dead the channel is: we only have 10 people in there right now, but all of them, except for Heim, SuperMartyoBro, Syniphas, and myself, SoiledBargains, are just idling at the moment, in addition two another two who've I've talked within the past week. Super Martyo brought up a good point:
[Wed, 22 Dec 2010 21:41:00 -0600] <SuperMartyoBro> I think scheduled chats might be a good idea to try and draw wiki users coming back to the wiki after the hiatus.
I think it would be lovely for scheduled chats to be rearranged. I think the community could benefit from more communication. Since I've come back from a hiatus of my own I've been keeping more of a close eye on #hrwiki and #HRWiki-RC (Why the capitalization difference, by the way? Just people autojoining in uppercase?), yet obviously a lot of others don't. I wonder if a lot of people who don't converse on our IRC channels either don't know about it or don't have any IRC experience. Or maybe they have lives, haha. So, who's up for starting these things again, so that we can make our IRC channels well-known again? —Soiled Bargains (talk|ctrb) 04:03, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
