[edit] Edit summaries

Hey Theyellowdart. I need to point out something about edit summaries: You need to write them so they make sense in the article history, not the recent changes. The recent changes will disappear in a few days, but the article histories will be there as long as the articles are. For example, "dvd info (fixed)" doesn't make sense in the context of the page history. You should just put "dvd info". Thanks, and keep on tranglin'. — It's dot com 03:36, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Personal Images

Hey TYD, I've noticed that you have now four personal images. Each user is only allowed two of those and a small one for the signature, as outlined in the policy. Please mark two of your current ones as abandoned as explained in the policy. Also, make sure that you select the right copyright notice for images you upload. The new ones contain screenshots from movies, so that would be the right copyright notice (even if the screenshots have been modified). You also don't have to upload images if you want to include them in your user page. Like so: Hope this helps. Loafing 08:43, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

Additionally, if you want to update a particular image every now and again, give it a generic name (such as Image:Theyellowdart Weekly Image.png), and use the "Upload a new revision of this file" option on the image's page. This will update the image (and retain older versions in the history). See Trey's NES endings image for an example how this could work. --DorianGray

Find a picture, like mine... [[Image:qod 11 - senor cardgage.PNG]], and put it on the desired spot on your sig. Then, to shrink the picture down, you must make it so that it is 20 px or less, like so: [[Image:qod 11 - senor cardgage.PNG|19px]]. And that's it. If you need more help, ask me or a sysop. Hello, Theyellowdart. I'm going to have to suggest you don't use all-caps edit summaries to try to call attention to the features on your userpage. If people don't show interest in these things, pursuing those topics even though other users show no interest in them is both annoying and disruptive, especially since these features have nothing to do with this project. Hey there. Two things: I deleted your old images of the week because I assumed that they were abandoned. In the future, please mark personal images as "abandoned" if you don't want to use them anymore (see HRWiki:Personal images). Also, please make sure that the images you upload are neither offensive nor disturbing. The current Image:picoftheweek2.jpg is certainly not an image that is fit for this wiki. Please change it. There is a tab in the top right, "Galleries". Click on it. Then, choose any gallery. Somewhere on that page there should be a note in red text that says, NOTE: This gallery is copyright protected. You may NOT repost any of the entries inside this gallery on external sites (including messageboards and non-profit sites) without Worth1000's express permission. TheYellowDart—(t/c)

Go to your preferences. Where it says "Signature", put "{{User:Theyellowdart/sig}}". Make sure the "Raw signatures (without automatic link)" box is checked. Press "Save". Then sign talk pages with ~~~~. — It's dot com 04:25, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

I got an edit conflict and hadn't resolved it yet. You're not a horrible user, but you need to to focus more on improving the Homestar Runner content and less on the other namespaces.
