[edit] Welcome!

Welcome to the Homestar Runner Wiki, Chesseface! My name is The Goblin, and I am a user here on the wiki! I see you've added some facts to pages. It's good to see you in the editing spirit! Just as a suggestion, please read the manual of style and the standards. Probably the biggest thing you need to work on is to focus on stuff inside the frame. Keep up the good work, anyway! I hope you will have a great time on this wiki! Remember, there are a lot of great users here, and any one of them may help you. If you want help from me, please leave me a message. I am here pretty much every day, and will be able to help you. Enjoy your stay life here! The Goblin!! 18:57, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Edit Summary

Hello Chesseface, and thanks for contributing to the HRWiki. When editing a page, there is a field labeled "Summary" under the main edit-box. Please remember to always fill in the summary field, as even a short summary is better than no summary. Indicate in the edit summary field why you changed the page; this will greatly help other contributors in understanding your reasoning. Thanks. Stux 15:11, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

In your preferences, you can set it to remind you to use a summary. I do that, it's helpful. Welcome! Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 22:28, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Using Show Preview

Hello Chesseface, I see that you have made several consecutive edits to the same page. I want to point out the Show Preview button. It's right next to the Save Page button when you edit. You should use it whenever you are making a lot of experimental edits, for example when you are trying to get formatting right. Using the Show Preview button is quicker and easier than saving and clicking "edit" again, and will keep recent changes and page histories from being flooded. Thanks, OptimisticFool 17:26, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Hey there, i see that you're still not using show preview when you should. It's really a great tool, i mean, i like it... — Defender1031*Talk 17:42, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Images

Image:Not-The-Police Card.png was fine as it was since it showed the Easter egg in context. Manually removing the background just makes it ugly and less authentic. I reverted it to its original form. OptimisticFool 21:30, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
