[edit] Thanks for the Strong Bad's Website Hookup

I forgot that it was his, and not the Cheat's. Also, I didn't know how to ask as a general question, so forgive me for putting the edit on the Cheat's page.

See you later, -P Funky

[edit] Waste of time

Can I make a "waste of time" template? Such as:

Warning: This is a waste of time.

Einstein runner (thorax.pngfile_icon.gifmail_icon.gif) 23:44, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

No. The only time that template would be needed would be to post it on itself as it's being made, which is kind of... You know... Impossible. Feel free to use it whenever, but by typing it out and adding the image, not by making it a template. Thunderbird 00:00, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] JPG/PNG

Thanks for the tip that you del taco'd. I'll try to keep that in mind. —Einstein runner (thorax.pngfile_icon.gifmail_icon.gif) 01:06, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

Heh, that was directed at another user, I got my wires crossed and accidentally directed it at you. Thanks for keeping it in mind anyways though. ;) Thunderbird 01:20, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ok

ok, i changed it. it looks like this and fits: -Image:Homsar-in-motion.gifHomsar7(Hom · Sar)Image:Homsar-in-motion.gif

[edit] Sandbox

Hi, T-bird. Why did you revert my edit when I put my April Fool's day page on the sandbox? NO!!! PLEASE... DON'T SHOOT!!! Tampo (T/C) AND SOMEONE GET THiS FREAKiN CURSOR AWAY FROM ME!!!!! 22:35, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

If users want to see your userpage, they can go to User:Tampo. There is no reason to template it into the Sandbox as well, the Sandbox is fine as it is. Thunderbird 22:36, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
In rv/t, what does the T stand for? NO!!! PLEASE... DON'T SHOOT!!! Tampo (T/C) AND SOMEONE GET THiS FREAKiN CURSOR AWAY FROM ME!!!!! 22:42, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
Anyway, When I type {{User:Tampo}} it doesn't show my userpage. It shows my Aprilween userpage. It only shows my userpage when I type {{subst:User:Tampo}}.NO!!! PLEASE... DON'T SHOOT!!! Tampo (T/C) AND SOMEONE GET THiS FREAKiN CURSOR AWAY FROM ME!!!!! 22:47, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
That would be by your use of noinclude tags. But I'm sure you already knew that. Thunderbird 22:56, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
What does "rv/t" mean? I'm thinking it means "reverted troll" but i was just testing in the sandbox. NO!!! PLEASE... DON'T SHOOT!!! Tampo (T/C) AND SOMEONE GET THiS FREAKiN CURSOR AWAY FROM ME!!!!! 22:59, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
It does not mean troll. Thunderbird 23:04, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
What does it mean? NO!!! PLEASE... DON'T SHOOT!!! Tampo (T/C) AND SOMEONE GET THiS FREAKiN CURSOR AWAY FROM ME!!!!! 23:05, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Block

Your username has been blocked indefinitely because it is inappropriate. You are encouraged to create a new account and contribute to the HRWiki under a more appropriate username, and... and what? did you typre something there? --TheThin 00:06, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

The window used for giving a reason for block is longer than the window allowed in recent changes. The user will see my full reason, and the full reason is also contained here. Thank you for your inquiry. Thunderbird 00:08, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
Won't blocking the username also block the IP that used it? - Joshua 02:18, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
Yes, for 24 hours. —BazookaJoe 02:31, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
Actually, once they try and use the account, then it blocks the IP address for 24 hours. But after it has autoblocked, you can go to the block log, and specifically unblock the autoblocked IP address, which I just did. Thunderbird 04:50, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cake

Look, Strong Bad! Someone made a cake in your honor!

I should have done this a while ago! Here you go! Dacheatbot (Talk | contribs) 14:54, 13 May 2006 (UTC) (left unsigned)

Thanks annony Dacheatbot. Thunderbird 15:12, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Source

What's the source for the backround with the bush? --TheThin 23:57, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

Huh? Please slow down and enunciate, I'm unsure what you mean. Thunderbird 01:36, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
This? —FireBird|Talk 01:38, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
"Oh, now I understand!". Thunderbird 02:11, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HRFWiki

I didn't relize that you had power at the Fanstuff wiki. I thought that you only had power here.--H*bad 23:27, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

All HRWiki sysops with accounts at the Fanstuff have provisional status there as well. Thunderbird 23:44, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
Cool. Also I hate to ask you this, but I know that this really doesn't matter anymore. But can you make me trusted. If you do I would help here a lot more.--H*bad 23:54, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
There is no "trusted" group anymore. That was created during the aftermath of the NSMC attack, and since then has been unneeded and redundant. That status was recently done away with (Earlier today in fact). Thunderbird 23:56, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
Oh... How much stuff would I have to do to become a sysop?--H*bad 23:58, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
See HRWiki:FAQ#How do I become an admin or sysop?. The basic principles are applicable at both wikis. Thunderbird 00:00, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Then I will be a sysop if its the last thing I do in my life.--H*bad 21:01, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blog

I made a HRWiki Blog. --TheThin 21:38, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

No, you didn't. You do not have the authority to make a blog in the HRWiki's name. What you are currently doing is also considered spamming. Thunderbird 21:42, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Oh umm I'm sorry I didn't know. It took me two weeks to do this. --TheThin 21:44, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Two weeks to set up the blog, or to post your reply? Thunderbird 21:49, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Thats sounds a little rude.--H*Bad
I'm sorry you feel that way, what I meant was that I just don't understand what exactly took him two weeks to do. I would assume it wouldn't be to post the reply, but does it really take two weeks to set up a blog on blogger? Thunderbird 21:58, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Oh, then I am sorry. Its just the post your reply could imply that your calling him stupid.--H*bad 22:00, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
No, I did not mean anything of the sort. That comment was meant as a play on his choice of words to ask for a clarification, not as an insult. I see how it could have been construed differently due to the inability to include inflection and sarcasm in the written word; perhaps if I had included ;) it would have been more accurately understood. And my original question still stands before this thread went off topic, that of "Did it really take two weeks to set up the blog?" Thunderbird 22:11, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bureaucrat

I was really suprised just now that your not a Bureaucrat. I mean you are quiet possibly one of the best Sysops on here, thats not a Sysop, Bureaucrat.--H*Bad

The biggest difference between sysops and bureaucrats/developers is the ability to go into the interworkings of the wiki, which is way over my head anyways. If I ever were to change anything beneath the surface code, I would probably end up doing more harm than good. ;) Thunderbird 22:43, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Oh, but I believe in you. And if they vote for Bureaucrats then I will vote for you.--H*bad 22:45, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Rainer

I see this user Rainer but his sigs don't link to anywhere --Dacheatbot · Communicate 22:09, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

You mean Rob. There is no Rainer. — It's dot com 22:12, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
There isn't a Rob either --Dacheatbot · Communicate 22:19, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Sure there is. Thunderbird 22:20, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Why doesn't he have a talk page? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 22:29, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
And is his last name Kohr?--H*bad 22:30, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
To the best of my knowledge, he is not the editthis.info guy. And he chose to delete his pages when he left the wiki. Thunderbird 22:34, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Why?--H*bad 22:36, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Does that mean he was a sysop? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 23:40, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Not on the knowledge base. His pages were deleted for him. — It's dot com 23:42, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Rainer was, at one time, an incredibly respected administrator on the Fanstuff Wiki. However, he left November 29, I believe. He left his userpage as a goodbye note to the Fanstuff Wiki, but somewhere in late April, he came back for one final edit, in which he deleted his userpage, saying "Don't need this anymore...". He then requested here a name change to Rob. The only reason we can ssume for this is that he is completely divesting himself of the Rainer account in a symblocial way. Thus, Rob is barely an account. — Seriously (Talk) 20:04, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] About my Anonny Contribution

Thunderbird, The info I gave is, in fact, first-hand info about the identity of the "Anonymous Contributor" from Gambier, OH. I understand that it's not easily backed-up, but is there any way that this info (or some modified version of it) could eventually make it on the actually Anonymous main page? I think it would be pretty cool if this were possible. Let me know! Thanks. -Davonian

Sadly, this kind of thing happens pretty often. However not only is there really no way to verify interesting facts of this nature, (though in this case I totally belive you), it also doesn't really contribute to the article very muchly. However it has been added to the talk page for the article, and I do appreciate the contribution. In the future if we decide to make a list of all "Email Authorship Claims", I will be sure to add the information you have given. (Though I am curious, since you didn't exactly give much information; are you the author himself, a close friend who knows who it is, or somebody on the outside)? Thanks again for your contribution, I always enjoy talking with those who have had their emails answered, or know someone who have. Thunderbird 19:59, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
If you can believe me to be a follower of a famous saying by Socrates, then you will surely believe me when I say that I know the actual author very well.
Sorry about that...I'm a philosophy minor, you see (and was almost a major). Let me know if that made any sense. -Davonian (I should figure out how to do a spiffy little sig)
The "spiffy little sig" starts with the basics, namely typing ~~~~ at the end of your post. See also HRWiki:Signature and Help:Signature. As for the question of authorship, since this has come up before, I have created a trial subpage to list all authorship claimants. Feel free to clarify my entry of your claim there. Regarding your comment about the famous saying by Socrates, I'm sorry but I must admit I have no idea what you meant there. ;) Let me know if you have any more questions regarding the wiki, if you are planning to stick around I also highly suggest creating yourself a userpage. Again, welcome. Thunderbird 20:56, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
Just thought you should know...but maybe I'll be nice to Anonny and keep his/her identity a little bit more secret to the public for the time being. I guess people could still find that information, since I can't get rid of it in a truly permanent way, but if they find it, well, good for them.
If you wish, I could remove the supposed claim of authorship regarding rock opera, depending on how annonymous the author wishes to remain. (By the way, rock opera is one of my favorite emails). Thunderbird 21:49, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
The way you have it right now seems to be juuust fine. I mean, it doesn't actually tell anybody anything about who Anonny actually is. By the way, he/she says he/she is glad you like his/her email. Maybe someday he/she will like to proclaim his/her true identity to the world. <Ò>DAVONIAN<Ó>

[edit] What's Up, T-Bird?

Hello! We're having a block party sometime on Friday(5/26) or Saturday(5/27), and you're invited. Here is some additional information. We need things like virtual food and party images, so if you come please supply something. Lastly, remember that this is a b-grl prty!

From your friend, אוקאלייליי (Ookelaylay) on 16:33, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Binary Translation

Just to let you know, I made a binary translation of your name (but it may be a little big for the bottom of your userpage ;)

0101010001101000011101010110111001100100011001010111001001100010011010010111001001100100=Thunderbird --Dacheatbot · Communicate 02:55, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

You're probably right. Thanks anyways. Though morse code just might fit... Thunderbird 03:03, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Is there anywere you could put it? Maybe link to it from your userpage? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 03:33, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hey

Hey thunderbird, why is it that like the sysops at fanstuff aren't sysops here?--H*Bad 16:08, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

While I'm here fixing your signature, I may as well reply. The sysops at HRFWiki are not decided by the administrators, but rather the current HRFWiki sysops themselves. Conversely, the sysops here are wholly or in part decided by the administrators, and are therefore given reserve sysop powers on HRFWiki. — Lapper (talk) 16:18, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Really how interesting. I had no idea.--H*Bad 16:22, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
That's an interesting sig, Mr. Bad. But yes, Lapper is right. Since none of the administrators are very active at the fanstuff, the active sysops there are responsible for observing fanstuff users and reccomend active and outstanding ones to the admins for sysoping. However since bureaucrat status is required for changing user rights, these users are still approved by the admins before being sysoped by them. Thunderbird 16:49, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. I modeled my sig after the best sysop of the week or month, or at least who I think is the best sysop of the week or month.--H*Bad 17:37, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Test page

Hi there, I see you deleted my test page. I was actually still using it, I meant to use it sort of as a sandbox, that kind of thing. AlliterativeAssociate 20:42, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

If you have to conduct another test in the future, you may effortlessly recreate a subpage for such a purpose. If you wish for a permanent sandbox, please name is so; the title "test" is generally used for a short, one time test. Creating subpages named things like "test" and filling them with jibberish, then swiftly blanking them will usually result in swift deletion. Thunderbird 20:56, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Oh OK, thanks. I'll go and do that. (I called it "test" because that's what Granola called his, so I thought that was what it's supposed to be called.) AlliterativeAssociate 23:13, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
No Chris, it should be called sandbox. Thanks for correcting that. Thunderbird 23:19, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
My name's Jeff, Granola/Yelt is named Chris. But anyway, thanks for correcting me. I guess I should have known not to follow HIS advice, lol. AlliterativeAssociate 01:15, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Sure. Anytime. Thunderbird 01:20, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
