Michael Chapman (born September 20, 1973) is the older of The Brothers Chaps. He and his brother Matt are the principal creators of the Homestar Runner body of work. He is also husband to Missy Palmer (the voice of Marzipan; married February 28, 2004) and father to the Very, Very Little Girl.

Mike attended Dunwoody High School, and subsequently the University of Georgia, where he studied photography and painting. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and the diploma is still in the package in which it was sent. He then later dropped out of the graduate studies program.

He was a panel member for the "Beyond Saturday Morning" discussion group at the 2004 Atlanta Film Festival.

Recently, Mike and Craig Zobel were announced as the writers for The Jim Henson Co's Monster Safari.<ref>[1]</ref>
