Menu

Fun Facts
Explanations
- The way the music fades as it reaches the end of a loop (unlike most other loops on the site) mimics the looping music used on some early DVD menus where due to technical limitations the background music could not loop.
Trivia
- A "DVD version" of the Yello Dello toon was teased by Mike Chapman in a 2001 interview, approximately a week before it was posted to the site.
Remarks
- Onscreen title cards for both versions as well as this menu hyphenate "Yello-Dello". However, "Yello Dello" is not hyphenated in Toons menus (from the Lava Lamp Toons Menu through the present), the current page titles, or the Everything Else Vol. 2 menu.
Glitches
- As of the post-Flash site update, the storyboard link does not function.
Real-World References
- The menu theme is similar to the music from Pitfall II: Lost Caverns.
Fast Forward
- Matt Chapman would later joke in a 2006 DVD commentary that he was unlikely to reference "The Yello Dello" again.
Everything Else Vol. 2 Version
- Switch the audio in the Old Version to hear commentary from Mike and Matt Chapman and Peter Olson.
- The storyboard now has commentary.
- When played in "Play All", only the New Version is played.
- An Easter egg is added involving a 4th Deleted Scene. To access it, select the deleted scenes option and press right three times and click on the red Yello-Dello drawing.
- {Open to a blue background with Michael Stipe's face with a message reading "Deleted Scene #4; 'Yello Dello' featured Strong Sad's first spoken lines in a cartoon. This was the first stab at his voice: Matt's bad Michael Stipe impression. So bad, in fact, that it was never to be heard again". Cut to Strong Sad in a scene from the new version of Yello Dello.}
- STRONG SAD: I don't know, Homestar. That looks... really dangerous.
