::::Glad to hear you liked that one. Apparently TBC liked it too since they used it in that video on Decemberween day (or eve, I forget) on Twitter. I was wondering if doing a slow piano solo version would come across as a bit of a cop out, especially on a song that seemed to kind of call out a bit for lots of horns or drums or something, but I also figured I had earned a cop out or two over the course of the month. It's grown on me too. It was one of my least favorites when I posted it, but a little distance has helped me get a better perspective, I think. [[User:Trott|Trott]] 18:20, 31 December 2022 (UTC)

:::::I am surprised to hear that the Dethemberween Thnikkaman song was initially among your least favourites.  I think successfully reinterpreting a piece in a completely different style or temperament makes for good music. (Although, it's hard for me to come up with good examples. {{w|Blue Monday (New Order song)|Blue Monday}} and its 90's cover come to mind. [https://old.reddit.com/r/HFY/comments/cjpjnd/tank_pummeling/ Tank Pummeling] is a story that, I think, successfully does a similar feat with a song but in writing instead.  Mild {{inlinecontentwarning}} regarding these links for other readers.)  Anywho, I digress from the original topic.  My point is, the piece was very nice, and the {{prs|1607045771399929858|25|Dec|2022|alt=video}} made the whole scene feel very cozy and christmasy and all that jazz (pun intended).  I played the piece a few times so I could just sit and contemplate for a couple of minutes.

:::::Overall, excellent work with the albums!  I doubt we'll have anything like the weenvent calendar in the near future (then again, who knows?)  Nevertheless, it would be nice to hear new stuff coming from your studio! :)  I also can't forget to mention that you're also welcome to contribute further to the wiki if you wish.  There's usually someone available to answer questions about editing stuff.  With that, I bid adieu and wish you a Happy New year! --[[User:Stux|Stux]] 14:20, 2 January 2023 (UTC)

Hey there. Welcome to the Homestar Runner Wiki! Are you, by any chance, the same Trott that made those cool Charlie Brown Christmas-type Vincent Guraldi Trio versions of the Decemberweenvent Calendar songs? - HoveringSombrero (talk) File:Shoulder shoomps.jpg

Hey there, based on your username it sounds like you might, in fact, be 135.180.110.139 and @trott? Is that correct? If so I would like to, once again, thank you for your awesome renditions and help with the wiki! Some confirmation (via twitter and/or band camp) might also be helpful. Happy Decemberween and Merry New Year! --Stux 15:30, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
Yes, that's me, although the IP address has also been used by another member of the household to edit the Wiki, so not all of the edits at that IP address are mine. Thanks for the kind and supportive words about the Decemberweenvent tracks. Trott 15:46, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
