In late 2001, Robert Berry of retroCRUSH.com interviewed The Brothers Chaps.

Several things the Brothers cite as influences or favorites would later appear as Halloween costumes:
- "old Sierra computer games" — several Halloween Hide & Seek costumes
- You Can't Do That on Television — Bubs as Ross
- Bod — Homestar Runner as Bod
- "the old Batman show" — Strong Bad as Cesar Romero As The Joker
- "the classic Rudolph stop-motion Christmas specials" — Strong Mad as The Abominable Snowman
Mike expresses interest in producing figurines, which would later be sold in the Store.
