- Pom Pom - In Pom Pom, Too one of the Poms is colored like an ABA basketball, also in different town, Strong Bad wishes Pom Pom looked like an ABA basketball. In A Decemberween Pageant he is cast as Kobe #1.
- Strong Mad - In Halloween Fairstival, he dresses as Ben Wallace. In A Decemberween Pageant he is cast as Kobe #2.
- Strong Bad - In his character video one of his accepted forms of payments are "Denver Nuggets." In the email new hands one of the options for his hands is an ABA basketball. In New Boots, The Cheat draws him dribbling and spinning basketballs. In his autobiography he supposedly played on a basketball team with "The Deke."
- Coach Z - In the email secret recipies it seems that he doesn't know what a basketball is. He is also seen with a basketball stuck on his head in candy product.
- The Cheat - Moses Malone is supposedly a buddy of The Cheat.
Baseball
- Coach Z - Is usually seen wearing an unbranded baseball cap.
- Homestar - Plays baseball in Where My Hat Is At?
- Strong Sad - In the email keep cool, he mentions that baseball games are at two, eleven, and three.
- The Grape Fairie - In Strongest Man in the World he says: "Honest to God, Mookie Wilson gave me the golbol in my hands in 1974." Mookie Wilson was a professional baseball player durring the 1980s and early 1990s best known for playing for the New York Mets, the team referenced in the golbol easter egg.
Soccer
- Strong Bad - In the email little questions, he mentions that he hates soccer.
- The Cheat - In the email ghosts, Strong Bad tells the ghost of the Tandy; "The Cheat has soccer practice."
- Strong Sad - In the email caffine, a hyper Strong Sad askes Coach Z if he wants to play some soccer.
- Bubs - In Happy Hallow-day he is dressed as Coach McGuirk, the soccer coach in the television series Home Movies.
Football
- Coach Z - His old timey counterpart is a football player named "The Fort Wayne Locomotive." Also he dreams of being a football player as a "middle schooler" in high school.
- Strong Bad - In Senorial Day, Senor Cardgage and Strong Bad "play catch"
- Strong Mad - In The House That Gave Sucky Treats, His costume is of William "Refridgerator" Perry, a famous football player from the 1980s.
- In addition Strong Mad, Strong Bad, and Homestar appear in the Superbowl Dealie toon. The Superbowl is the name of the National Football League championship game.
Hockey
- Coach Z - Seems to coach field hockey based on Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 9.2.
- Marzipan - Seems to play field hockey based on Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 9.2.
- Homestar - Shows up in a Boston Bruins jersey in Superbowl Dealie.
Golf
- The Cheat - The Cheat is known to own a golf club which he uses to hit things on the CGNU Golf Club Team.
Tennis
- Homestar - Dresses as John McEnroe in 3 Times Halloween Funjob.
- Bubs - Holds a tennis racquet and has a John McEnroe wig on in Senorial Day.
Track and Field
- Homestar - Multiple as he is Homestar "Runner."
- Strong Bad - In the email disconnected he mentions that he finally beat homestar in a race.
- The King of Town - Is seen "running" in the email autobiography.
Competitive Swimming
- Strong Sad and Strong Bad - In the email other days, Strong Sad mentions that they will be late for swim practice (although earlier in the e-mail Strong Bad denies that he goes).
Martial Arts
- Homestar - Participates in the "Champeenship," which seems to be a judo/karate type tournament.
- Pom Pom - seems quite skilled in martial arts as he is seen with a bo in Summer Short Shorts and is seen with a black belt in the Theme Song Video.
Raquetball
- Homestar and Strong Bad - Are seen playing raquetball in the email dangeresque 3 in The Brother Strongs' basement.
Badminton
- Strong Bad mentions the sport in Where's the Cheat?.
- Strong Mad and The Cheat are shown with badminton racquets in labor day.
- Strong Bad and Strong Mad discuss the sport and wonder what the offical rules about it are in army.
