[edit] Character fix

Hi there. I looked at the diff where you fixed the image problem, and although the png part is bolded, i don't see anything different. How did you fix that? — Elcool ^(talk)_(contribs) 19:10, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

There was either a hidden character from the cut and paste of the image link, or it tried to include the line break symbol as part of the file extention, either way, I just retyped the extension by hand and that seemed to "fix" the link. As with most things in the IT world, when you fix a problem, sometimes it's better just to not ask questions as to "why" what you did fixed the problem. - Ilko Skevüld's Teh C 19:17, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Hey there, ISTC, I noticed that you have a host of potential articles on your user page. It would be cool if you would actually turn them into articles. Naturally, some would have their relevance disputed — you know the wiki — but most of them would be a great contribution to the wiki, as I see it. Thanks Loaf (or FDL, or Loafin', or just Loafing), I'm working on it, but most of them aren't anywhere up to my liking yet (need links, rewords, reorders, sometimes some fleshing out or some debatable items edited out). In a lot of cases they're based on a number of cut and paste fun facts which may or may not really belong (and usually need better wording for a separate article, even if they do). What I feel is the best one is riding out into the unknown tonight, and then hopefully a few more will head out once I've had a chance to review them and get them initially cleaned up a bit soon. - ISTC 03:35, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

I'm curious. Why are you changing all the spaces in interwiki links to underscores? What does it matter? —Shwoo 02:00, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

I don't think there's an actual technical reason for this, but it's cleaner that way. It's the preferred way of doing things, maybe it's even in the style guide somewhere. Loafing 02:08, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Sorry I didn't respond sooner, was caught up in what I was doing. Upon review, I don't know if it's actually written anywhere, but it makes searching easier, it's cleaner, and my first couple of posts here were changed that way, so when I went looking for "en.wiki . . ." links that needed to be changed and found the underscores, so went on a change rampage.
