  • The House That Gave Sucky Treats — Strong Mad's costume is William "Refrigerator" Perry, a famous football player from the 1980s.
  • Email website — Strong Bad suggests a website about your cat, or your The Cheat, both of which prompt a picture of the respective animal thinking "It's 4th and 10", referring to a common scenario in football.
    • Email hygiene — An Easter egg memorializes the cat with a slightly altered version of its picture from website.
  • Email island — The message inside the bottle is really a flyer for Super Bowl XIX. In an Easter egg, one pair of hallucinations that Strong Bad and Homestar have of each other are of the helmets worn by the two teams in said Super Bowl: the San Francisco 49ers (Homestar's hallucination of Strong Bad) and the Miami Dolphins (Strong Bad's hallucination of Homestar).
  • Superbowl Dealie — The entire toon is about the annual professional football championship.
  • Teen Girl Squad Issue 2 — The No "I" in Team Boy is holding a football.
  • Email caffeine — Strong Sad claims while hyper, "I don't even watch football! I don't even watch football!"
  • Email crying — Strong Bad "quotes" Li'l Brudder as saying "I'm gonna be a quarterback when I grow up. I'm gonna throw for 2,000 yards."
  • Senorial Day — Strong Bad gets Senor Cardgage to sign a football, and twice asks him to throw a pass (which Senor Cardgage doesn't do).
  • Email high school — "Middle School" Coach Z dreams of being "craptain of the foortball torm".
  • KOT's VOQPCS! — The King of Town's scheme to get the Poopsmith to smell better somehow involves a game of football.
  • Ever and More — Strong Mad's helmet is a football helmet, with an image of a nacho on the side.
  • Everything Else, Volume 3 — On the Holidays menu, one of the powerups The Cheat collects is a football.
  • Toikey TV — Strong Mad, Strong Bad, and The Cheat wind up watching the 2007 Falling Asleep On The Couch Watching Football Bowl.
  • Sloshybowl — Strong Sad watches sloshy on the Superbowl half-time show.
  • 4 GregsThe Gregs go to a football game, and D n' D Greg attempts to explain how the game is played.
  • Email dictionary — Strong Bad is holding a football while describing the specific sounds used to express disinterest in Coach Z, Marzipan, and Strong Sad.
  • Decemberweenvent Calendar (Day 15) — Strong Bad is unable to check the day's song as he's freaking out over a football somehow wearing his pants while Strong Bad himself is still wearing them.

  • Email the paper — During The Paper's preppy phase, it is seen wearing a sweater with the word "tennis".
  • 8-Bit is Enough — While answering an e-mail, Strong Bad explains in an extended tennis metaphor that he could beat Trogdor because he created Trogdor. He then realizes that Trogdor is a dragon who breathes fire and thinks he needs to come up with a non-tennis-related plan to beat him instead.

  • In Search of the Yello Dello — Homestar and Pom Pom play a combination of football and basketball. They are shown on a football field with at least one basketball hoop and both kinds of ball being thrown. Strong Bad comments on it in the commentary and Homestar replies that it is America's pastime.
  • A Jorb Well Done — A strange sport is shown where Pom Pom seems to earn points for bouncing on Strong Sad after the latter is tackled by Homestar. Later in the cartoon, Homestar seems to earn points for changing directions while running.
  • Email 1 step ahead — The viewer is allowed to play a new sport: the Peg Strong Sad game.
  • Email mascotThe Cheat is the head of the "Golf Club Team" of Crazy Go Nuts University. The "sport" he plays is beating the opposing "team" with a golf club.
  • Email theme parkHomsar says it is time for "tasteball". How tasteball is to be interpreted is a mystery, though by its name it seems to be a sport of some kind.
  • Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 14.2 — Coach Z reminds Marzipan of upcoming "shin" tryouts. The sport apparently involves shin-guards, shin-pads, shin-protectors, and shin-balls. Presumably, the sport is played with one's shins.
  • Email the paper — Homestar and Homsar play Strong Bad and The Paper in what appears to be basketball, but played with an American football.
