Occasionally, The Brothers Chaps hide details that they don't want the viewer to see, primarily in Halloween teasers. If the Flash files are decompiled, words such as "nice try" appear where the details might be expected to be.

- Email the chair — Strong Bad's supposed picture of his parents instead reads "nice try dodongo!".
- Jibblies 2 Teaser — Behind the silhouettes of the characters in costume are the words "nice try dan".
- Most in the Graveyard Teaser — This time, the silhouettes hide the words "no cigar", which come from the phrase "close, but no cigar".
- Doomy Tales of the Macabre Teaser — The silhouettes hide the words "sorry charlie" as well as some rejected costumes from previous years.
- Halloween Safety — The silhouettes hide the words "hidden words".
- The House That Gave Sucky Tricks Teaser — In a reference to "the chair", the silhouettes hide "dislike smoke".
- Halloween 2016 Teaser — The silhouettes hide the words "total cop-out".
