Where's The Trascript?
Is there any specific reason that the Transcript and Easter Eggs haven't been transferred yet? If not, Imma do that before I finish up on Where's The Cheat? -- AgentSeethroo
- Yes, this was one of the first attempt at making a page before the format was set up. See the first twenty-some-odd Strong Bad Emails for the correct format. And do you know about the tilde signature thing? A "Me" signature really isn't a good idea. -- Tom 13:22, 5 Aug 2004 (MST)
- Sorry bout the "ME" thing. I was in a massive hurry. I had some bigwig at my back and I wanted to get offa the page. Now, what's wrong with using the tilde? If I'm not supposed to, that's cool, but I've just gotten in the habit of doing that. -- AgentSeethroo

Could It Be True?
--Zeroic 12:52, 27 Sep 2004 (MST)Is there any truth on the easter eggs about after Homestar Intergates The Poopsmith, you can click on his eyes to get Strong Sad to throw eggs at him? I waited for about 2 mins and I couldn't do anything!
- Hah, no, whoever told you that was spinning lies. --Upsilon
The Prisoner
I Googled SB's prisoner number, 5408, and came up with this oddity: Watermelon Trials [1] --Guest_itsabob 15:54 Dec 15 2004 PST
Diplomatic immunity
If Strong Bad's the ruler of Strongbadia shouldn't he have diplomatic immunity?
- Strongbadia seems to be a subset of Free Country, USA, not its own soverign territory; therefore, Strong Bad could be arrested there. — It's dot com 13:55, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Nobody said Strong Bad was smart; he probably doesn't even know what diplomatic immunity is! -Private Martin of the Homestarmy
New Comment
According to the tick marks inside the jail cell, Strong Bad and The Cheat have been in there for 7 days when Strong Mad busts them out.
Okay... 1) I think 99.9% of the people who have watched this toon knows/saw that. 2) It says so in the transcript.

Closed STUFF
What ladytypes? (DECLINED)
Strong Bad saying The Cheat is stealing his girl might refer when he said The Cheat "somethetimes" steals his "ladytypes" in lackey.
- Decline from Oh-hee-oh. What ladytypes? The only female I've even seen near him is Marzipan, and she doesn't seem to like him very much. — It's dot com 05:58, 8 May 2005 (UTC)
- And I don't really like him at all And neither do I like this fun fact. People, just because it seems that two jokes are related doesn't mean that they are. Not everything is meant to be an inside reference. If you have to use words like "might be" or "may be", either stuff the fact or don't post it at all. Donny vs Universe
- DECLiNE. There is no reason to make this connection at all. - aaronak 14:06, 8 May 2005 (UTC)

- The Rude Boy smote the Bad Fun Fact, and all was laid to declination. No connection. Next! Rudeboy87 16:29, 10 May 2005 (UTC)
Wall Markings (ACCEPTED)
According to the markings on the wall of the jail, the Cheat and Strong Bad have been in jail for about a week.
- Decline. Fairly obvious to anyone watching the cartoon. Besides, the marks on the wall are common cliches in jail settings. Thats why they're there, to act as a visual gag NOT to tell us how long Strong Bad and a The Cheat have been there.Donny vs Universe
- Second. -- tomstiff 21:27, 11 Mar 2005 (CST)
- accept. Good fact... →j to the sag
- Accept. I never noticed. Maybe a slight rephrase is in order, however. Something like "If the marks on the wall are accurate, then the Cheat and Strong Bad have been in jail for about a week." - Rebochan 10:07, 31 Jan 2005 (MST)
- Second. - «Rob»

- Rewrite and move. Just stick in the transcript how many tick marks are on the wall. Besides, those marks may have been made by the last inmate in the cell. -- The Real Zajac 13:19, 14 Feb 2005 (PST)

- Second Who cares if he never blinks? mk5dude

- Second Who cares if he never blinks? mk5dude
- Comment Actually Homestar blinks, quite frequently, I might add. Pop tire 22:16, 24 Mar 2005 (MST)
- Okay, okay. MOST characters don't blink, unless I'm missing something giant here. --acekirby13 08:54, 25 Mar 2005 (MST)
- Decline If you're gonna put something about a character in a cartoon and not the cartoon itself, I strongly suggest putting it on The Poopsmith character page.

Grand Theft CandyThe series of sirens and buzzes that Homestar Runner makes when he discovers Strong Bad and The Cheat (each time interrupting Strong Bad as he tries to say "Oh no, we've been found out") is a takeoff on a popular car alarm.

Biscuit Dough Hands Man
I'm trying to figure out what is wrong with noting that this is the first appearance of Biscuit Dough Hands Man. The first appearance of every other major and minor character is noted, and he has appeared more than once. Can someone please enlighten me, Some HSR themed username? --B 14:34, 25 Sep 2005 (EST)
- Please see the pages that represent the debuts of The Sad Kids, Frank Bennedetto, Pom Pom's girls, and the Visor Robot. Thank you.

Horn In?
When strong bad said to the cheat are you horning my girl, did he mean are you having sex with my girl?
I don't know if he mean't that.
- The idiom "horn in" in this context means "To intervene officiously or indiscreetly in the affairs of others" [2]. -- Tom 23:35, 9 October 2005 (UTC)
Ocean's Twelve
Umm... the real-world reference to Ocean's Twelve was a perfectly cromulent reference. What other crime movie with the same plot was about to come out the same year as this toon? Hmm?
- Almost every crime movie I've ever seen. No, I can't think of any off the top of my head, but there are many.
Username-talk 17:31, 11 October 2005 (UTC)
- By the way (and I know you're talking about Twelve and not Eleven), see the closed STUFF just four sections up from this one. — It's dot com 18:31, 11 October 2005 (UTC)
It was a pretty decent fact...
I thought that this fact was pretty half-decent, especially for a non-user. (for all of those who didn't see it, it's ther below)
- Strong Bad's hairnet is a possible reference to the film O Brother, Where Art Thou? when Ulysses Everett McGill (played by George Clooney) wore a hairnet while he was on the run from the cops while sleeping in barn only to find he was almost caught be the cops.
Anyone agree? ♥ teeeffoh! 21:35, 30 December 2005 (UTC)
- Except for the hairnet, which is standard prison issue, it bears no resemblance to the toon. It's too much of a stretch to be a "possible reference." — It's dot com 21:37, 30 December 2005 (UTC)
Shogun
The fact that the disk was labelled "Shogun" was mentioned twice, so I removed the second mention. --ravs
- No need to tell us. We already know that from recent changes. Very polite, though. You ought to sign up. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 02:41, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
dosent low life mean prostitute?!
Hey, when homestar runner calls strong bad and the cheat low lifes, im confused, because i heard low lifes are prostitutes, but can they also mean just bad criminals? me is confused.
- "Lowlife" actually means "A person of low social status or moral character". Thieves and criminals have low morals. So there you go. --DorianGray
Old Egg
When the King of Town says "big old, red old, nasty old, egg," it reminds me of "Walking home, Strong Bad came upon a big ol' egg" from flashback. -- Quite
Oh brother
I wonder if The ol' SB wearing a hairnet is a reference to Oh Brother Where Art Thou. Y'know like George Clooney's character. Elvis 01:54, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
No-Goodnik
Sounds like a reference to Sonic The Hedgehog's enemies to me. -- TheDarkArchon 11:40, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, specifically the American cartoon version. Include it if you want. MJN SEIFER 14:52, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- A slightly old thread, but not too old: no-goodnik is an old phrase that refers either to someone who's incompetent or, well, to basically what Strong Bad is, someone who has a penchant for causing trouble. Dr. Robotnik's name came long after this term was common.--Big Dog 05:27, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Homestar skimask
- The colors of Strong Bad's ski mask corespond to Homestar's colors. The top is blue (like Homestar's hat), the next section is red (like the bill of his hat), the third section is white (like his face), and the biggest and last section is red (like Homestar's shirt).
Some anonny added this to the article, and I removed it because I didn't think it quite fit. I did, however, find it interesting, so I'm posting it here. — It's dot com 17:05, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
Car Alarm
Anybody know a place where I can get the car alarm sound effect Homestar imitates?
I've checked everywhere and the only thing I came up with was a "demo" sound from an apparently "royalty-free" site that makes you have to purchase the sounds or else you get a 30-second demo with a sine wave in the background.

Trivia?
Isn't the fact, "The title of the page is "The Bighouse!". At one time, however, when the toon first appeared, the title was "Compy 386!!" just like a Strong Bad Email. This was fixed and changed to "The Bighouse!" within the first day." just a fixed goof? I think this needs some clarification. --Collin Diver 01:17, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
- The fact was written before the "Fixed Goofs" subcategory was invented, but I'd say yes, it would be. --DorianGray 01:19, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Bun in the oven?
"The strange way in which Strong Sad said "Marzipan and I have a baklava in the oven" may be because it sounded very much like he was going to say "bun in the oven" which refers to a couple who is expecting a child." Aside from the fact that I can't conceive how the randomly odd over-enunciation of baklava connects to the phrase "bun in the oven," the word "may" would seem to render this, not a Fun Fact, but a supposition. Which is no fun. Any objections to removing it?--Big Dog 05:29, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- None. Get rid of it. It's a big stretch, even at best, and also doesn't go in Explanations. --DorianGray 05:31, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- It's been there since November? How did we let that slip by? --DorianGray 05:41, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- It is done. --Big Dog 05:42, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, good call. Speculation in Fun Facts is acceptable within reason, but this is just too big a stretch. Heimstern Läufer

Jail Cell? Or Cardboard??
Hey, if the jail cell is made out of cardboard, why didn't The Cheat and Strong Bad just lift it up themselves? there is no sign of chains or tape to hold it down, as evidenced because Strong Mad just lifted it RIIIGGGHHHTT up. Jibblejibblejibble 23:50, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
- Because it's funny. — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 01:12, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
it's because the cheat is small and strongbad is weak. -- 86.178.52.6 15:33, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
Running Time
This toon is advertised to be exactly six minutes long. I timed it recently, and it went over seven and a half minutes. this included the waiting eggs, but it had gone over six minutes by the end of the main portion of the toon. i also timed retirement and Where's The Cheat? for their substantial length by comparison, and i got the listed running time in retirement (i guess that one's time isn't really announced on the website) and about the listed time on whereis without the waiting egg (which made it about 10 seconds longer). What should we do about this? The Knights Who Say Ni
04:20, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
- The math says it's 6:49 to the first end screen, 7:32 to the end of the whole toon. There are several cases where we list what's on the toons menu and then put the actual time next to it. See Halloween Potion-ma-jig for an example. — It's dot com 06:01, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
Mmmmm
Anyone notice that Marzipan says "Who wants mmmm... bakalava?" It may be a bad audio take on Missy's part, but in any case, it's so pronounced that Marzipan's mouth is animated as almost humming when she says it. Should the transcript reflect this, or should we just leave it as the script was likely intended? Abelhawk 15:39, 27 June 2019 (UTC)
