Everyone loves horses and ponies, even characters in the Homestar Runner universe. While not frequently seen, they do get mentioned on occasion.
Horses
- Old Characters Page — Marzipan is said to love horses "and her boyfriend too", a reference to the Tom Petty song "Free Fallin'".
- Email no loafing — Strong Bad puts up a picture of a horse, which is accompanied by an "old adage" about goats.
- Peasant's Quest — Rather Dashing must scare the horse Poor Gary during the game. Horse Grease also appears.
- Hallrunner — If you choose to talk to a Franciscan Monk, you tell him the one about the horse in the midget bar.
- Email E-mail Birds — Strong Bad replies to an email from a "Horse woman" by saying that he "feed horse woman poison oats".
- Peasant's Quest Movie Trailer — Poor Gary appears again, played by a real horse named Moonshadow.
- Email Family Resemblence — Pom Pom's imagined brother Stom Stom has a horse leg for a body and a leg.
- Halloween Potion-ma-jig (Easter egg) — One of Homsar's supposed choices is "2TH: HORSE IT ON IN THERE!"
- Email lady fan — Marzipan calls Strong Bad a "horse's twees".
- Email keep cool — One of the pool rules is "no rough-horsing", illustrated by a horse's head with a knife.
- Email retirement — The broken Tandy 400 and Compy 386 are at first believed to be incapable of checking emails even with the help of sixty horses dressed up as I.T. professionals. A Dullard comic features the new I.T. professional Randy, who is an anthropomorphic horse.
- Drive-Thru (DVD commentary) — Strong Bad suggests that the brown toy from Blubb-O's might be a horse with a milkshake on its back.
- Ever and More — Strong Bad claims that the song "Ever and More!" is "horse puckey".
- Sickly Sam's Big Outing — A horse named Dee is Sickly Sam's love of a lifetime.
- Email specially marked — The breakfast cereal OH! T'MEEL has a horse on the box.
- Place Ya Bets! — Strong Mad says he thinks he's talking about horses.
- Cheat Commandos: Two Part Episode: Part 2 — Flashfight shows the Cheat Commandos "Non-violent Dressage Mishaps Volume 4". Dressage refers to a method of horse riding that is often used for show.
- Soap Box Doiby — Homestar says that "looks only count in horse shows and ham parades".
Ponies
- Teen Girl Squad Issue 6 — According to her description, Cheerleader wants a pony.
- Commandos in the Classroom — The Cheat Commandos watch Pony Fights 2, except for Reynold.
- In Cheat Commandos: Two Part Episode: Part 2, Fightgar would rather see Pony Fights.
- Email original — While filling in as "Guest Bubses", both Senor Cardgage and Crack Stuntman think they should eat a pony.
- SBCG4AP Dev Blog — Strong Bad calls Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People a "Raise-Your-Own-Pony-and-Sell-it-to-the-Glue-Factory" game.
- Baddest of the Bands — Strong Sad tricks Strong Bad into claiming that his Battle of the Bands will have ponies.
- Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective — One of Uzi Bazooka's demands is a pony, the kind with wings and rainbows.
