Some of the things on the filmography seem like they shouldn't be there. Fhqwhgads is only mentioned in sibbie, yet it is in the filmography. Does it matter if they are only mentioned? «Rob»

Y'know? Even IF it was the I love you virus, the reason as to why it didn't seem to affect Strong Bad's computer is probably because his computer was so primitave, there wasn't much that the virus could really mess with! :P TK600 20:39, 2 May 2005 (UTC)

Actually it's probably because the Tandy 400 is similar to a macintosh computer (judging by the logo), which the I love you virus doesn't effect.

I just think it's that whiffle ball you see in Everybody to the Limit. Unclepoopaw3

IF it was the I Love You virus, Strong Bad's computer wouldn't be affected no matter what. He was too busy reading Fhqwhgads to open the attachment. Btw, did anyone see a love letter attachment? 0_o I don't think that email was a virus... Sharri

Full name pronunciation

Capitalization

There's a great deal of inconsistency across the site regarding the potential capital F in "fhqwhgads". It seems most places only capitalize when this leads a sentence, but others capitalize it all the time. Of note: we have never seen it capitalized on the site (aside from writing it in all caps). If we were to vote on it, I'd say "no capital F unless leading a sentence". But we should discuss to reach consensus. - Qermaq - (^T/C)  15:00, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

i love you virus

the trivia section has a comment about a myth involving the i love you virus. My questions:

• Is this verified?
• Even if so, is it really worthwhile to keep facts about myths and nottrueities?

I feel the same way. There was no info on the linked Wikipedia article to back up this claim, so I removed it (...well, after screwing up). I'd say, proof is needed before something like this could be considered worthwhile. -YK 08:07, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

I could find nothing at all to back this up. The descriptions by the big virus scanner companies mention nothing like fhqwhgads being included. Apparently 17 people uninformed individuals on urbandictionary believe there's a connection, but that's in no way notable enough for us to mention. Loafing 08:32, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Honestly, after reading the Wikipedia article, it doesn't seem like fhqwhgads or i love you even remotely resemble said virus. The only connections -- a bunch of random gibberish followed by "i love you" is tenuous at best. -YK 02:00, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Redirect

Is there a reason that fhqwhgads with a lower-case f redirects here? I think it should be redirected to Everybody to the Limit since most url addresses redirect to their url page. since that url is fhqwhgads, i think it should redirect there instead of here. Fhqwhgads with a capital F should stay here, just like pom pom vs. Pom Pom and marzipan vs. Marzipan. (now i'm referring to the case sensitive wiki, not the urls.) In response to your post on Dorian Gray's talk page, you're not breaking anything by creating such a redirect, you're just overriding the system. All you need to do is whip out some URL action, in this case, http://www.hrwiki.org/wiki/fhqwhgads?action=edit , to make a redirect for this. Apparently, there is no redirection message for autopiped redirects as there used to be, so it makes it a bit harder to set things straight. However, the only reason why such a redirect would exist would be to help the Greasemonkey script (or any other automation for that matter), and after thinking about it I believe that would only cause unnecessary confusion as the Greasemonkey script already has that exception covered. —Soiled Bargains ^(talk|ctrb) 20:32, 31 December 2010 (UTC)

I just noticed you put two recently created redirects like this up for deletion for the exact reason they were created. They were created to interfere with the logical autopiping. Since i asked this question a year and a half ago, i have learned more about redirects and autopipes. Here, i was wondering if i could override the system. and i'd like to see what it does to the GreaseMonkey script. do i have to download it now? The Knights Who Say Ni 22:57, 31 December 2010 (UTC)

I don't have an opinion as to whether fhqwhgads should redirect to Fhqwhgads or Everybody to the Limit, but I would like to point out that the filename redirect was previously created and removed. — It's dot com 00:33, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

When making the filename redirects, I specifically avoided making redirects which were the same name (but different capitalisation) to an existing page. So, for instance, I didn't redirect fhqwhgads to Everybody to the Limit, or toons to TV Time Toons Menu, or suchlike. For the sake of avoiding confusion. On the basis that having pages with identical names except for the capitalisation is OK when there's a reason, like following the canon (pom pom and Pom Pom, for instance), but merely "having a filename redirect" isn't enough of a reason.

I mean, if someone plugs "sbemail152" into the search, it's pretty clear what they want to go to, but if they search for "toons" or "fhqwhgads", they probably want Toons or Fhqwhgads, not TV Time Toons Menu or Everybody to the Limit. Especially given that if they typed it in with capitalisation they'd get the non-redirected page.

Anyways, the main purpose of the filename redirects is for the Greasemonkey script, and that script has special-cases hardcoded in for when the filename redirects can't be made (or shouldn't be made). The only disadvantage to that is that whenever a new toon comes out that needs to be a special case, then people need to update their GM script, but if it's one that can be a filename redirect then they don't need to update. Which is a small downside, and not worth causing confusion over.
