Strong Bad Losing His Edge
From Homestar Runner Wiki
Though Strong Bad claims to be a pretty cool guy, there have been many occasions where he has revealed himself to not be quite as cool as he claims.
[edit] Appearances
- Email lures and jigs — Strong Bad accidentally admits that he doesn't know how to get ladies, before hastily correcting himself and running away.
- Email autobiography — Strong Bad's "greatest moment on the court" is when Reg passed the ball to The Deke instead of him and The Deke slammed dunked it, and when he tried to high-five everyone The Deke shoved him into the ground. Also, Strong Bad tells a blatantly false story about a girl with "skinny blond hair" who "loved him so much" but "had to go to another planet for reasons too complex to elaborate on."
- Email labor day — Ironically, Strong Bad tells Pom Pom he needs to get a life, while asserting he "has a great life". Pom Pom, like everyone else, is attending the BBQ, and even Strong Sad makes fun of Strong Bad for not coming.
- Email pom pom — Pom Pom beats the ever-loving snot out of Strong Bad.
- Email pizzaz — While questioning the duplicate Strong Bad's decision to dress like a ship's captain, Strong Bad tricks the duplicate into admitting he is not cool.
- Email extra plug — Strong Bad accidentally says that he will be dancing with The Cheat instead of a hot girl, before correcting himself.
- Email record book — Strong Bad's record is for Dirtiest Diapey (as Lil' Strong Bad), which he attempts to hastily cover up by "accidentally [making] breakfast" all over the book.
- Email geddup noise — Strong Bad describes how "a bunch of cheap knockoffs" of the Geddup Noise started popping up, and is then shown having presented his own version, the "Git Outcha Seat Sound". He quickly tries to laugh it off and claim it was "just not anything".
- Email lady fan — Strong Bad can't do a single push up.
- Email senior prom — Strong Bad invents a story about a girl named "Delilelia" who can't go to the prom with him because she's helping a robot stuck in the sand on Mars. When he crashes the prom with a plan to make everyone's pants poof away, he loses his after forgetting that he's the only person who wears pants. He also accidentally wins Prom Queen.
- Weclome Back — Strong Bad supposedly checked an email while skydiving during his summer vacation, but failed to record it after mashing the wrong buttons on his video camera.
- Decemberween Short Shorts — Strong Bad writes to the tube socks he'll be receiving that year, telling them that his bemoaning them is just a farce and that he actually appreciates them very much.
- Email slumber party — Strong Bad warns the sender of the email not to wear a "long V-neck undershirt with a pair of questionable tighty-whities underneath" to a slumber party, then begs the sender not to ask him how he knows this.
- Email winter pool — Strong Bad admits that him doing 30 different kinds of skateboard shred on the pool during the winter is "pretend".
- Email your edge — Gee Tee worries that Strong Bad might be losing his edge. Strong Bad accidentally justifies this concern by recounting the times The Cheat and he consciously decided not to re-inflate a deflated basketball, feathered Strong Sad, and spread mayonnaise on some cardboard boxes before cleaning the mess up, vacuuming and using air-freshener thirty minutes later. It is also revealed that the pair play "pretend-we're-grandmas-baking time". In an attempt to regain their edge, Strong Bad stomps on a casserole and The Cheat saws a hole in the floor, which the two fall into. They remain in the hole for at least three hours.
- Strong Badia the Free — Strong Bad receives a package with pilot wings from Trans-Place Airways, which he initially explains as his reward for not crying through the flight, before correcting himself by claiming that it's actually for landing the plane, saving everyone on board, and making out with all the stewardesses after the pilot suffered from a Charley horse that Strong Bad gave him.
- Baddest of the Bands — Strong Bad goes out of his way to reveal a stage prop that he is convinced will win the crowd over; instead, the crowd carries off the King of Town of all people, as no one cared about his prop and, in the act of revealing it, Strong Bad inadvertently makes the King look cool.
- 8-Bit is Enough — Strong Bad admits to owning the game "Lady Crate Ape" before claiming it belongs to Strong Sad. Homestar Runner reveals Strong Bad has scheduled manicures and bubble baths, which Strong Bad attempts to claim are 'codenames' for make-out sessions.

- April Fools' 2014 (Easter egg) — When asked what he has been doing in the past few years, Strong Bad replies that he's been "doing a lot of side projects, some consulting, [and] maybe a little freelance", after which he asks "those are words that people say when they haven't actually been doing anything, right?"

- Fan 'Stumes 2022 — Strong Sad agrees with Scotty Titi that Strong Bad has "gone soft", as he is more complimentary than deprecatory to the fans who have sent in costumes.
