Talk:Happy T!

From Homestar Runner Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search
Ding! Happy T! is a featured article, which means it showcases an important part of the Homestar Runner body of work and/or highlights the fine work of this wiki. We also might just think it's cool. If you see a way this page can be updated or improved without compromising previous work, feel free to contribute.

The reason I removed Homsar's "(easter egg)" is because I see all of the characters' messages as easter eggs. Understand? --Trogga 10:32, 31 Mar 2005 (MST)

WRONG!!

Contents

[edit] Yes it is.

No, I don't. Homsar's is hidden, whereas the character messages were the main part of the thing. Geez, can't ya tell an easter egg from a feature?

[edit] Not what I meant

When I added
If the Happy T flash is overlayed over the Main Page (like the Quote of the Week, etc. are) then the clickable area lines up with the curved part in the bottom right of the frame.
I wasn't saying it as a way to find it, rather a reason why it's in the place that it is. --phlip TC 15:08, 17 Aug 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Move?

I just realized, this should probably be "Happy T!" instead of "Happy T". Any objections to a move? Thunderbird 21:49, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Not at all. I was just about to suggest the same thing. --DorianGray
There's less than 15 links here too. We could drag GrapeNuts into it, but I don't think he's even got around to those other two moves I did recently, so we may as well just manually fix 'em. Thunderbird 21:59, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Oooh, on second thought let's not be hasty. The big question is, should it be "Happy T!", or "HAPPY T!"? Thunderbird 22:01, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
All caps is obnoxious. I say it should me moved to "Happy T!". — Lapper (talk) 06:32, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, do you know how many internet etiquette laws you'd be breaking by typing in all caps like that? Well, you'd be breaking one: Don't type in all caps. Seriously, though, "Happy T!" is fine. --DorianGray
Move to "Happy T!" Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 06:37, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Moved to "Happy T!". Elcool (talk)(contribs) 10:39, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Haldo! Y'know whats weird?

On the flash file, if you press "tap" to go thu all the letters, it goes, "H...A...P...P...Y...!...T" Isn't that weird? Seriously, go ahead and try it!

[edit] Um, a little help?

I can't find this anywhere. How do you get to it?! I saw something about that it was linked from a main page, but which one?

It was put up on the main pages Thanksgiving 2002, and then removed the following day. Homestar-Winner (talk) 23:20, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
It is no longer linked. Like many popup messages, it was taken off the main page messages bubble after a while. The SWF still exists on the site, but is not linked to anywheres. --DorianGray 23:22, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
You can see other pages like that on the Secret Pages page. Homestar-Winner (talk) 23:28, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
There's a link to the flash file at the bottom of the article: Happy_T!#External_LinksLoafing 23:34, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Seinfeld reference?

Is happy dappy possibly a refrence to happy pappy which was in an episode of sienfeld. Foogs. 16:54, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

I highly doubt it. It sounds more like just some random thing Bubs would say. —Guard Duck talk 18:32, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
Definitely not. — Defender1031*Talk 19:24, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Trivial

Since I'm not going to go ahead and mess up this page, I'll just tell you guys and you can tell if this should be added or not.

  • This features every character with intelligable speech, except for The King Of Town

also it doesn't have Pom Pom and The Cheat (and poopsmith, lol) but they have no proper speech.

--Still Homsar 22:01, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

Meh, if we count it here, then I suppose it's notable here as well. Add'd. StrongAwesome 22:07, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
