[edit] Buscemian ≠ Lebowskian

I don't believe Strong Sad's reference to Steve Buscemi in Sbemail 150?!? counts as a Big Lebowski reference. Buscemi is a film director in his own right - if not experimental, certainly independent. There's no particularly compelling tie between the nature of SS's storyboards and Buscemi's performance as Donny. If anything, I suspect it was a convenient rhyme to Fellinian. -- Mayosolo 23:53, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Is this page necessary?

I don't think that this page is worthy of keeping, and I believe it should be deleted. I know that TBC have referenced the movie on several occassions, but I don't think that it really warrants having a page for it. --ISlayedTheKerrek 19:39, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

There are recurring elements within the Homestarrunner universe (such as "dan") that occur at least as infrequently as Big Lebowski references and are noticed enough to warrant their own pages. Definitely by the time the newest reference came out (the little toe, as of this writing) it was enough that I noticed it as a recurring pattern as opposed to a random reference. 25 September 2006 --Sailor titan 22:55, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Warning

Is the warning necessary? Retromaniac 07:08, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

Yes, the links contain language beyond the accepted standard for this wiki. Trey56 07:14, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Yello Dello?

Concerning when Pom Pom takes out his gun in the Yello Dello toon; is that a reference to this movie? Another question: should Pom Pom's gun have its own page? I'm leaning towardss "no" for both these questions, but I felt that it couldn't hurt to ask. kai lyn 02:06, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Manolios Ugly One?

Manolios looks and sounds a lot like the Sellers' anonymous neighbour, whose car Walter destroys to show Larry what happens when you... find a stranger in the Alps. Anyone else think that this may be a deliberate reference? - Anonymous Contributor 6:20, 19 October 2009 (EST)

[edit] "Better believe it" quote

Can anyone confirm whether "You better believe it, man" is actually a quote from the movie? I ran a search on the movie's subtitle file and the line doesn't seem to be there. -75.61.67.215 07:46, 3 August 2017 (UTC)

It is not. I believe the original contributor misremembered Jesus' line The external website linked here contains offensive language and/or content. content warning "You said it, man.". -- Bleu Ninja 19:23, 26 September 2021 (UTC)

[edit] Shades

A previous edit stated that Dangeresque's shades were "identical to shades worn by Walter Sobchak". Although TBC used the same graphics for Pom Pom's sunglasses that one time on Halloween, there's no indication through commentaries or more explicit references that they are intended to look like Walter's pair and his are a fairly generic design. -- Bleu Ninja 19:23, 26 September 2021 (UTC)

[edit] Twitter reference?

Similar to the recent reference added today, why don't we add the heroforge reference, eh? gage abides --64.5.144.1 13:14, 13 December 2023 (UTC)

The ref sounds quite plausible. One thing I'd like to ask: when I first saw the gage abides post I thought the line might be a reference to some specific Hero Forge character itself. I'm not as familiar with Hero forge so I don't know if they go beyond miniatures. If there's no such thing then it makes more sense that this is a Big Lebowski reference, I think? --Stux 13:45, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
It’s definitely a Lebowski reference. -113.37.226.89 13:59, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
