Ok. First of all, chill. No need to shout and type multiple numbers of exclamation marks for the purpose of wishing for a name to be included in a list. I'm sure that every user including you is awesome in his or hers own special way and for some reason should be included in this list, but as you can see, only a few did get to be listed. Why, do you ask yourself? Why they and not me? Well, first look at the sheer number of contributions each user have on this great wiki of ours. Second, look again at the list. Besides each name there is a reason for why I added it. May it be for the helping hand that they have given me times and times again, or may it be for a more personal reason non other that they are my friends. For this I'm sorry, The Thing, but at this point of time you a fit in neither category. If I was to add you to the list, what can I write beside your name? I know. English is stupid. I didn't come up with it. One of my biggest pet peeves: Jennifer and General are pretty much the same sound at the beginning, so WHY THE DIFFERENT LETTER?!?!?!? And howcomes "Q" always needs a "U" behind it? Why didn't they just create a "QU" letter? Yeah, the "Most common language of the world" should have been better thought up. I'd like to point out that "wee-kee" is more-or-less the proper pronounciation, as it comes from the Hawaiian word wikiwiki, which mean "quick". "Wee-kee" is how it'd be pronounced in Hawaiian. See also: Wikipedia:Wiki --DorianGray

I'd like to point out the superiority of German over English in that it makes perfect sense from a phonetic perspective. None of that "rough, cough, through, though" crap. Heimstern Läufer 06:34, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

You're preaching to the choir man. Though english is useful to know, I wish I'd learned another one too. Oh well, too lazy/busy now. If I ever were to though, German or Hebrew would probably be two of the top choices (German because everything sounds so cool and authoritative, and Hebrew because I think i'd be kinda cool to read the bible in the original Hebrew, and because "Shaloam" is a rad word). Not only that, but I read somewhere that Korean is such a simple language, you can learn to read it in a day. You can't understand it, but you can read it outloud. First of all, it's "Shalom", without the second A. Second, if you are going to learn Hebrew for the bible, don't even try to come near an Israeli living today. The bible Hebrew and the modern Hebrew are not one and the same and are completely different. The sentance structure changed alot through the days and alot of new words were only inevented in the beginning of the 20^th century. Oh, I know that. I'd assume you'd run into the same problems as reading the old king james version in english (Or should I say "ye olde King James") With all the thee's and thous, it's hard to make heads or tails of old english nowadays too, since it's changed so much. Interestingly enough, I used to know someone who liked to make chain mail. On a very amateur level, mind you, but he definitely did make it. He allowed me to wear his chain mail glove several times. quite an experience! But I haven't seen him in about five years, so it doesn't help you too much, I suppose. Hey there, Elcool. I'm just wondering, how do you know how many contributions you made on the Wiki? Is there something somewhere that updates whenever you make an edit, or do you have to count the edits one by one? — Has Matt? (talk) 00:48, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

Good question. I know every user have a contributions page (like yours) but counting it can be tricky. I think it was Lapper who showed me how to do it and it's not that hard. [1] See that number at the end of the URL? This indecates how many edits are shown on the page. On the page itself you can see the line that says:

(Latest | Earliest) View (previous 500) (next 500) (20 | 50 | 100 | 250 | 500).

Just rise the number on the URL to how many edits you think you have. If you can click the link (next X) you edited more then the number you chose. If you can't then you edited less. Yeah, that's what I do too. It's easier to count them by just rounding down to the nearest 500, and just checking every now and then to see how many 500's you can advance by. But to count exactly the right number it's easiest to count the larger numbers first, and when you can't count by them, just keep moving down the line. DOUBLE EDIT CONFLICT'D!: (Once by comment, once by archiving) Alright, I forgot to mention, it was alot easier to check with the previous version of MediaWiki. When you got to the end of the list it would tell you what number edit the list was starting with, so you could be accurate within 20 without even having to count. Sorry, I should have been clearer. What I meant was that what if your street name was something like "Thomas Street" or something? How would you translate a street name that isn't a word/doesn't have a hebrew translation into hebrew? Does your street name have like three different translations? And if your street name was a word that you could translate, like "Potato Salad St", would you translate it Phonetically or LiteralLy? It's hard to quite explain what I'm getting at, but hopefully I succeded this time. Because I'm pretty sure that if somebody tried to write my address out in Korean or something, it would never arrive. Interesting question. Actually, the street name in English is a phonetic translation of the Hebrew name, not the litteral one. We all know that the capital of Israel is Jerusalem (ירושלים), but the street named after the city is written in the phonetic way: Yerushalaim St.. My street name will litteraly translated into The Hebrew Platoon St., but the sign will read HaGdud HaIvry St.. +::::Interesting question. Actually, the street name in English is a phonetic translation of the Hebrew name, not the litteral one. We all know that the capital of Israel is Jerusalem (ירושלים), but the street named after the city is written in the phonetic way: Yerushalaim St..
