(Since Strong Sad doesn't ask to be rescued, Homestar not freeing him isn't really a case of them not getting along. Heck, due to the caroling, it's probably the opposite.)

"It is strong sad and strong unfortunate what happened to your face! Ooh!"

Homestar Runner is one of the few people Strong Sad can openly express annoyance with. Homestar also fails to acknowledge Strong Sad's presence due to the former's ignorance, and even if he does recognize him, he just ignores him like he's nothing. Despite this, Strong Sad sometimes seems to be closer to Homestar than his own family.
