In addition to cross-dressing, characters also say things that suggest they are mimicking the other gender.

- Homestarloween Party — After Homestar Runner and Marzipan agree to arrange everyone "boy-girl-boy-girl," Homestar seats himself next to Bubs and Strong Bad next to Marzipan.
- Email 1 step ahead — In the ending where Strong Sad's hands get glued to his butt, Bubs scolds him for not being "very ladylike."
- Email kind of cool — Strong Bad boasts that Creepy Comb-over Strong Bad would still be "so cool, that even if you were a dude, [he'd] still call at you like you were a lady."
- Senor Mortgage — Senor Cardgage calls the Visor Robot "Valerie."
