Talk:Sticky Notes
From Homestar Runner Wiki
There also seems to be a reference to them in the PQ game on the door of the inn and the jhonka's cave
(Please sign your posts, "65.237.72.188") But thank you for the info. Are those actually post-its though, or are they just paper notes? ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 03:16, 10 May 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah, this conversation was 4ever ago, but I think it's a sticky note. — talk Bubsty edits 01:46, 8 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Inside Joke/Running Gag
Lately I have been getting confused about the difference between an Inside Joke and a Running Gag. I thought Inside Jokes were only used a few times. The sticky notes have been used many times. Are you sure it is an inside joke?--Martin925 13:59, 2 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Runnig gag is usualy something that is done or mentioned several times. Like Kicking The Cheat, or Strong Bad's Computer Malfunctioning. Their funnynes come from their repetation. Inside jokes are little nitpicks that if viewd in context, thei're funny. Like $11.01 or Tooty-two. — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 18:25, 2 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Personally, I'd say Running Gags can often be a subset of Inside Jokes. I guess the important part is that a "gag," is, by definition, funny. Strong Bad kicking The Cheat is funny, at least as slapstick, the first time you see it; it's just that its humor increases as you discover its actually a systemic reference. $11.01, on the other hand, isn't funny at all the first time you see it. —notstrongorbad 02:50, 8 Oct 2005 (UTC)
"DORKS!" Sticky Note
- The following discussion was originally on Talk:"DORKS!" Sticky Note before it was decided to merge that article with this one.
I believe this is possibly overstepping the line of us allowing one-time items to have separate articles. I mean honestly, a sticky note? With its own page? — Lapper (talk) 02:49, 3 May 2007 (UTC)I was going to say "delete", but now that I found out about the third appearance I'm on the fence about it. It's clearly not a one-time joke by now and even if it was a running gag then it have the three appearances rule. — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 04:44, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, definitely unneeded. So... delete.....DORKS!. --TheYellowDart—(t/c) 02:51, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- Easily included on the big Sticky Notes page. --DorianGray 03:43, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, delete or redirect. Loafing 03:45, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Agree with DorianGray, maybe Merge onto Sticky Notes, or at least a redirect to it.Wait, it has 3 appearances? Change vote. It HAS to be merged or kept. No redirects.-- Super Martyo boing! 03:46, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- This is not a good page. It barely even plays a role in invisibility and it only plays a little role in vacation. I'm up for merge or a deletion. Sam the Man
- In response to lapper, i think that there's only one or two places where one time items need their own page, if ever. (In related news, the blue ones has got to go) Definitely delete. DeFender1031 12:59, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
