[edit] Fanstuff account

Lord Katana, your Fanstuff account has been set up as you requested. The username and temporary password are the same as here on the knowledge base. (A reminder to change your password when you log in for the first time.) May it serve you well in crushing the Jedi scum. — It's dot com 05:42, 29 December 2005 (UTC)

All right, now that's a riot! You don't have to call me Lord Katana if you don't want to. Thanks for doing so much for me, man - you're chill! I'm buying you a pizza. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] Haldo

Hi there. I saw your message in my guestbook and I thought that I'd say hi back. 'Sup? Image:Homsar-in-motion.gifhr.pngΨHomsarΨroksΨImage:kookysig.gifImage:Cheat-shrug-tiny.gif 16:16, 29 December 2005 (UTC)

Just chilling. I think we're definitely going to be friends, we have a lot in common. We like the same music, video games, books, shows, movies - and Homsar. Definitely Homsar. Just a friendly reminder! Oh, and I have one question. Do you think it's necessary to fill in the summary box when you edit your own article or talk page? Thanks. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

Well, I'm glad that we share the same tastes. Homsar is definitely the pride of the peaches. I don't think you should fill in the summary box when you edit your own information. I mean, people can just go to your page and find out what you edited if they want to know what you did. I rarely fill out the summary box when I edit. It's not like its required or anything. Well, g2g.--Image:Homsar-in-motion.gifhr.pngΨHomsarΨroksΨImage:kookysig.gifImage:Cheat-shrug-tiny.gif 14:53, 30 December 2005 (UTC)
P.S. Do you have a runescape[1] account? If you don't, you should definitely get one. Adios

Listen, you guys, you seriously need to start filling in the summary box every day. Thanks for the advice on editing my own content, but if you're editing an article, I strongly suggest that you fill in the summary box. Even if you don't find it necessary, the standards page recommends that you always fill it in. You should check that out. And regarding RuneScape, as of now I'm not signed up, but I've heard that it's pretty fun, and since I'm a minor I can't play too many MMORPGs. So yeah, I'll definitely consider joining you there. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

Sweet. Just to let you know, there's virtually no innappropriate content in it, and the violence that there is is bloodless. Also, player's chat lines are screened through a profanity-removing system that replaces almost all offensuve words with stars. Also, you don't have to give out any personal information (not even an e-mail address) and its completely free. I hope to be seeing you! Let me know on my talk page when you've registered. Thx, Image:Homsar-in-motion.gifhr.pngΨHomsarΨroksΨImage:kookysig.gifImage:Cheat-shrug-tiny.gif

That sounds like a good deal to me. Still, I have a friend who says that I'd be able to play Guild Wars and Star Wars Galaxies. I don't know how exactly that would work, since both games probably have certain age restrictions, but I'll take her word for it. You might want to check that out yourself. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

Those games sound cool, but I don't even know how to register for them. There's no link to anything that says "click here to register" on either site. How can you do it?--Image:Homsar-in-motion.gifhr.pngΨHomsarΨroksΨImage:kookysig.gifImage:Cheat-shrug-tiny.gif 16:44, 1 January 2006 (UTC)

All right, I'm just sitting here, trying and trying to word my message properly - I think my imagination's broke. Whatever, since I'm having a stupid day just type in "Guild Wars" or "Star Wars Galaxies" into the GameStop search engine, and that should explain everything. Oh, and sorry for writing a half (expletive) reply. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] butch hartman

Why do you hate Butch Hartman so much??? He seems cool. Except... I don't know anything about him except he did a lot on the Fairly Odd Parents Christmas special. — talk Bubsty edits 23:53, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

Butch Hartman made that show. I loathe him. I wonder if he's listed in 100 People Who Are Screwing Up America (And Al Franken Is #37)? I'll have to buy that some time. Oh, and I'm sorry if I've offended you with my hatred for Butch Hartman - you're one of my favorite writers on the wiki, I just hate Hartman as much as I hate the media. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

No offence taken. So I take it you don't like Fairly Odd Parents that much. — talk Bubsty edits 02:38, 3 January 2006 (UTC)

The Fairly OddParents! is on my bottom 10. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] Subpages

Hey there Meteorite. Please have a look at our subpage standards. Thanks one million. — It's dot com 00:04, 10 January 2006 (UTC)

Sure! This has nothing to do with the subpage standards, but I'm so excited about the new Strong Bad Email. I'm waiting for my best friend to check that out, but it looks like a riot. I was worried about the Chaps there for a while, to be honest. Anyway, I'll definitely check that out. I didn't blow it real bad this time, did I?

All right, I finally looked at that. I couldn't even see what was wrong at first, because I was so excited about the new e-mail, the new messages, and all the other new crap. Anyway, I'm sorry for breaking the rules - I'm just used to the whole "anything goes" thing at Wikipedia. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] Hey there

Hey Darth Katana. Yes, the picture of "me" on my user page is indeed the space marine sprite from The Games Factory. It's the sprite I use to represent Kilroy whenever I put him in one of the games on my site. And no, I haven't made a Homestar Runner game yet. A Homestar Runner game sounds fun to make. I too want to give it a shot. Talk to ya later. — Kilroy / talk 00:29, 10 January 2006 (UTC)

Rock on, rock on! I've had The Games Factory for years now, but I haven't even got a game worth publishing made yet - which is partly because my compy runs it like crap, and it barely works at all on my friend's new one. And yeah, I'll definitely check out your site. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] Yo wassup

The main thing up on the Internet (anything offline usually counts for less) is fighting to save the userboxes on Wikipedia. BTW, am I right in thinking that you live in or in the vicinity of Chico, California? Yeltensic 17:11, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

I don't understand, you'll halfta reword your message - sorry 'bout that - but how the crap did you know where I am? Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

You mean the part about the userboxes? Those are the templates for those little boxes some people put on their userpages, for instance, "This user is a fan of Homestar Runner." You edited Wikipedia without an account for a while, so I know your IP address from the edit history of Talk:Sonic the Hedgehog, and knew it was you because you signed talkpage posts with your future username. I then used a website that gives the location for any address you type in (it doesn't always work though, because you can use an address for a different place if you want. Or, sometimes it'll say a nearby city instead of the one you live in (eg I live in Eustis, FL and it says Longwood, FL about 10 miles away for my address). And if it's dialup, it just says the country). So I was right, then, about Chico, CA? Yeltensic 03:38, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

Well, I pretty much have a "take it or leave it" mindset when it comes to those userboxes, since I never use 'em or anything. And as for that IP address thing, that gives me the jibblies. Anyway, you were really close - I'm actually in Redding. But they're both in Shasta, whatever. At least that's not as freaky as what it could've been - like, if you were in Redding and you were picking up Internet access from my house and you were spying on me editing the Wiki or something. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

I used to know someone who had an aunt in Redding. He said that she doesn't know the Atlantic Ocean from the Pacific Ocean, even though she, um, lives pretty near the Pacific. I wasn't sure before if you actually lived there, sometimes it says a completely different place, like someone who hovers around the Sonic page I made on Wikipedia (to replace your page that got deleted) who lives in California but has a Reston, Virginia address. But Reston is a significant Internet hub, so I guess someone across the continent would be more likely to have Reston address than a Chico address, making it more likely that you actually live near there. Yeltensic 23:46, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, that makes sense. God bless. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] Signature

Just a heads up, that today we implemented our new signature standards. Below is your current signature, with the blue box being the maximum length allowed. Obviously you're going to have to do a bit of work on it to make it fit within the box. small tags might do the job, or any other way you can come up with. Thanks alot, Thunderbird 00:41, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

Image:sigbox.png
Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

It looks like leaving off the (Contribs) link would do it. Most people know how to find a user's contributions and don't have a frequent use for that link like they do for the one for the talk page. — It's dot com 03:01, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

I just offed them both. Thanks for the idea, though. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

Hey, Darth Katana X. I don't know how long we're going to have this vote implemented, but right now your signature is too long for the sig box, as you can see above. Please consider finding a way to cut it shorter. — Lapper (talk) 23:02, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

All right, yo. I'll be working on it. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

Thank you. That's a much more appropriate length. — Lapper (talk) 03:04, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

Dass gravy. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] Poll

Hey, thanks for participating in my poll. Unluckily, you broke the rules. You can have only three votes. If you could please revote? Thanks. If you don't revote in exactly 1 day, your votes will be deleted. --Bluebry muffin 03:50, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

Sorry, pal. I'll fix it. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

Hey, Thanks for fixing it! By the way, can you program in any language? If you can, please see my page again. Bluebry muffin 04:50, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

What do you mean? Do you mean programming languages, like C++ or Java, or do you mean foreign languages? Either way, I know a little Java, and I also know a little Japanese and Spanish. My friend's gon sign up for this program called YesJapan, which helps you learn total Japanese and you get free J-pop downloads, and she's gon share it with me, too - awesome! Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

C++ and Java. I like to program, and I want to see who else likes to. You can sign up on my page! I'll give you the instructions:
  1. Place your name on the list.
  2. Email me a program stating your user name. If you want to do a better program, you may, but it may not exceed 10 mb.
  3. If you are accepted then you will have "(accepted)" by your name.
  4. If not, you will be removed. You may try again at any time.
Bluebry muffin 14:13, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, but I didn't think the list was too important. I deleted it. Sorry. BTW, Can you get all 3 eggs? On my page? Bluebry muffin 22:26, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

Uh, I haven't found the easter eggs, and I don't know where to sign up. Besides, when I said a little Java, I meant a little Java - like, just a little more than my friend who got rid of their computer months ago. Sorry. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] Image:Mysfit-steries2.PNG

Hi there Darth Katana X. The image (Image:Mysfit-steries2.PNG) that we are using for the The Homestar Runner Mysfit-steries article is in no was "suggestive" as you called it. Please compare it to Image:Mysfit-steries.PNG, which we use in the highschool article's Goofs section. Also, be mindful that the comments you use in your edit summaries can be viewed by anyone, so you might want to avoid language that others may take as hurtful. -- Tom 07:42, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

All right, I'm sorry. Marth 99 made it sound like the suggestive one was still up. And sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings, I definitely didn't mean to. From now on, I'll just stick to my own business - I think it's pretty obvious that I'm overstepping here. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] Sig

Hey there Darth, there was an issue with your sig in when you used the # format then it would restart the list. I just fixed it for you and just wanted to let you know. Have a good day! DBK! 17:00, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

I don't understand what you just said, but thanks one million! Man, I'm overusing that pun - and, erm, it's always easier to write your sig when the first two letters of your username are the same as the person above you - you know, Dan and Darth. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] Finished Product

Just so you know, I finished your little request and replied on my talk page. This note is so you don't miss it. The links are over at my place. Feel free to delete this as you see fit, as it's mostly just a note/reminder. --DorianGray

That picture is kick awesome! I put in on my user page, check it! Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] Stinko-pancake

That is an awexome idea, Darth KX! I thought I could relate an interesting story similar to that, but I realized that it wasn't interesting. Oh well. Here's the non-teresting story: The day after I saw Happy Trogday, I made a pancake and tried to cut it into a Stinkoman shape. I, unfortunately, made the legs too big and couldn't fit the head, so I ate it. (See, totally not interesting.)LePorello / T / C 22:32, 19 January 2006 (UTC)

More like, totally not not awesome. My friend is an excellent cook, so I'll basically just boss her around and color it. So, if mine turns out better than yours, it's not because I'm an Iron Chef or anything, I just know how to boss my crew around. My pancake is going to breakfast, too - after the glamour shots have been taken and all that with a big pitcher of Suudsu. No foolin', man - that stuff is G-E-W-D, gewd. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] Good Point

You made a good point with the Broken Tandy Menu, Darth Katana X. But like I said on my page at one point (you may or may not have seen it the couple of days it was up), the notebook paper seemed to cover the entire page, like when Strong Bad was drawing Trogdor. In fact, now that I think about that, I think I meant to say loose leaf paper, not notebook paper! Nintendostar_Runner

Yeah, I didn't see that. I wonder why I just thought of the Broken Tandy Menu? Pretty weird. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] Guest Who's Booked for Dinner?

Thanks for chilling. In the process of reading up on the (relatively recent) history of the discussion, check out my proposal for something to replace guestbooks-as-we-know-them with something that might do the same job better. —AbdiViklas 08:21, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

I'll check that out, thanks for the 411. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] Opinions

Hey there, Darth Katana X, I noticed your fight against the removal of guestbooks, which is perfectly all right, but the phrase about people voting for the motion isn't very nice.

So, are you going to stand up for our guestbooks, are are you going to suck up to sysops like I've seen them do on other web sites?

"Sucking up" to sysops is not the idea here. Please reword this phrase so that it sounds like people can express his or her opinion freely, without feeling degraded. Thank you. — Lapper (talk) 14:35, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

That's just the way I feel, I have nothing against any sysops involved in this (especially not It's dot com, who I hope not to offend), and anyone who wants the guestbooks gone will more than likely disregard what I think completely. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
It may just be the way you feel, but the way you say it sounds like an insult to users who are voting differently from you. What if users don't disregard it and change his or her vote just because he or she is afraid to look like a suck-up? That's not what the voting process should be. — Lapper (talk) 02:38, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
Fine, I'll take it down! Gosh! Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
Darth Katana X, this is exactly the same thing.
So, are you going to stand up for our guestbooks, or are you not going to with absolutely no intention of sucking up to sysops?
Except now it sounds really forced. Please try to find a way to put your point across without using the words "suck up" or any other degrading term. — Lapper (talk) 12:58, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
All right, man. I'll reword it. Sorry. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
Thank you for your consideration. Your paragraph is fine now. — Lapper (talk) 22:31, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

No sweat - and sorry for being a smartalec. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] Encouraged

I must say I'm disappointed at the stance you've taken on the new policy. Please don't misunderstand, I completely support your right not to like the idea of removing your guestbook one bit. I know you think that it is unfair for you to be told what to do on your user page and that the wiki should be fun, but that doesn't change the fact that the community has spoken, and the community has the greater right to decide what's in its best interest. Even though the support for the decision was not absolute, the community as a whole has decided guestbooks were causing more harm than good, and so I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to go ahead and take yours off your user space. Not doing so would not only be disrespectful to the community but also specifically to those users who have already voluntarily complied with the new policy. I absolutely do not want to remove your guestbook by force, but that doesn't mean I won't. The end of guestbooks does not mean the end of communication (or fun, for that matter). There are several suggestions out there on how to make the most out of talk discussions and user interaction. Also, you have to ask yourself whether this is really the issue you want to be remembered for. (Now that the discussion is over, it seems like a silly reason to be blocked, to me.) In all of our conversations over email, you have always seemed like a cool guy who was eager to participate and be a valued member of the community. You also seemed quite reasonable. Please show me that I am right in thinking that and kindly do as the community has requested. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, It's dot com 06:11, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

Well, that was mature. Thanks for not riding my you-know-what over the whole thing. I respect that, especially since it was your idea to get rid of them in the first place, and since you're probably more against guestbooks than any of us. I chew people out at the drop of a hat, and in a situation like this I would more than likely say the worst things I could without getting in trouble with the site or my parents.

Anyway, if it were anyone else talking (besides perhaps Yeltensic or Homsarroks) I wouldn't submit to them, but since it's you, I actually took the time to read what you halfta say and I partly agree. I don't want to get banned and then be remembered as a fool. Like in The Chronicles of Narnia, remember Rabadash? I don't want people to call idiots names like "Second Darth Katana X" when I'm gone, or be remembered as "Darth Katana X the Ridiculous" or anything like that.

I still don't think that guestbooks are hurting anyone, for the reasons I've already expressed, and also because I don't view this as a "registered user site." In other words, I still think the site is aimed toward the viewers to some extent, and that we shouldn't mess our pants over details that the average visitor wouldn't even know about. I mean, we don't want a site like TV.com, where the only people with any use to the site are registered. I still think nixing the guestbooks is taking the site in that direction, if that even makes sense, but by now I am considering taking off my guestbook, or at least not putting it back on after someone else ditches it. Still, my homies are pretty impressed with me sticking up for what the site is/was about (fun), plus I'm the headstrong type - you know, I don't give into anyone, what have you. Still, sticking up for guestbooks is pretty nerdy. And I don't want to be a headstrong nerd, I want to be a headstrong head.

Through all this thinking on "paper" I've finally come down to a descision to remove it, not because I like to give in to anyone, but for these reasons. First off, you're my friend and I don't want to rebel against my allies, I just want to stick it to the man. Second, I don't want to be viewed as a fool. Thrirdly, I don't want to look like I'm that attatched to guestbooks, I'm not, I just want the site to stay fun. If people think I'm having an affair with guestbooks, they'll just think I'm a nerd - not cool. So you win, I'll take it down. Peace, man. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

I imagine Dot com will also want to respond to this, but I wanted to say that I'm glad to see this response. Your reference to Rabadash is exactly right: you don't want to become a second Rabadash yourself. I've tried hard to be a Lucy all my life. :-) I want to assure you, furthermore, that we have every intention of keeping this site fun. I love this wiki both for its seriousness, in that it is a wonderful encyclopedic reference about Homestar Runner, and for its fun, in that it's a great community. Look for chances to get involved in this community: fight vandals, contribute to the knowledge base, visit the chat channel, other things that aren't coming to my mind right now. If you do that, I think you'll find that this is a very fun place! Keep on tranglin'! Heimstern Läufer 06:50, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

Editing Conflict — That's a great way to look at it. I know this is the last thing C.S. Lewis intended, but I've always felt bad for Rabadash being made a fool, especially knowing that that was the only thing he couldn't stand - I wouldn't be able to stand that either. You've totally changed my perspective. I'm starting over, I'm trying this again. The next time a "fad" like this shows up, I'm going to ignore it and keep doing what's fun and non-questionable on the site. Anyway, what I've done for the site so far is just use my knowledge on popular music and patrol some edits. I've looked for oppurtunities to fight vandals, but since you guys are so on it I couldn't find anything. The only vandal I've come in contact with so far is Yeltensic, who I've been supporting since I've been such an anti hero, or outcast or whatever you want to call it. I should get back to patrolling edits and join the welcoming committee, but for now I'm-a take down all traces of my guestbook and go to bed. Thanks one million, guys! Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

Thank you for your cooperation. I was just remarking to someone that I sincerely do like what I know of you so far, and I didn't want the situation to come to anything ugly. (For the record, I myself considered having a guestbook for a while, and I signed several of them... including yours. Also, I may have been the one who started the discussion in Da Basement, but the only reason I did so was because a bunch of users were already complaining to me.) I want to echo Heimstern in saying that this place is fun! It was fun before guestbooks, and it will be after them. I truly hope that over time you can come to see the sysops not as governmental killjoys (we're really not, it just seems like that because a lot of our duties involve dealing with the people who want to tear apart the site), but as friends. Rock, rock on! — It's dot com 06:58, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
I'd also like to express this thought: when you were fighting, although you were fighting for what you believed, it kinda brought you down a little in my eyes... It struck me as slightly immature. I see, however, now you are gracious in defeat. I really respect that. As such, you now sit at an even higher spot than you did originally. And not just coz you're one of the first to request something in a long time. ;) --DorianGray

(Lame pun warning) Thank you, goodnight! Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

Darth, we lost. 35/23, but we lost. and as irritating as it is, i reccomend we all give our guestbooks proper burials. like mine. DJTehCheat M-E-H! 07:31, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

That's a pretty good idea, but I've changed my perspective on the whole guestbook thing. I don't really care about them anymore. Don't worry, I haven't turned to the Dark Side (or, since I'm already "Darth" Katana X, the Light Side), I'm doing my best to be Switzerland now. And by that I mean, I'm a Neutral Chao - what? No, I'm not a wimpy little Chao, I'm just not on anyone's "side."

And to everyone else, I'm sorry that I've been unwilling to give up something so insignifigant, and not to mention extremely immature and proud. So, can we restart? I'm ashamed of myself for being such a big baby, but I'm glad I had a change of heart before suffering Yeltensic's fate (no offense, man). Thanks for having a forgiving heart, "peoples." Dag, yo. This has turned into quite the heartwarming action drama, an uplifting tale of reconciliation and transformation that critics agree will reinspire your hope for humanity (at least until you go try to buy popcorn). Seriously, that was awesome to watch, Darth, and did in fact warm my sleep-deprived heart. There's a lot I feel like saying about general philosophies of obedience and civil disobedience and originality and John Rueben and Rabadash and Reepicheep and Baroque performance practice... but I'd better wait until I can say it succinctly. In the meantime I'll just observe: man, the rebel role is tough, isn't it? You establish yourself as an iconoclast and brace to confront the establishment, then either discover that you were so cool that everybody joined you and now you're the establishment, or else suddenly you find that there's nothing really pushing back, and feel silly for being a one-man army without a war.
Meanwhile, somewhat more relevantly: I added a postcscript to the guestbook talk page, intended very much for anyone who had a guestbook, saw a reason for keeping it, and was sorry to see it go. My point is very much that, yes, while this was a debate over identity and what the wiki should be for, it doesn't have to be a choice between functional and fun. I sincerely believe (though even now, after the fact, taking no definite position on the issue) that more fun, friendship, community, etc. (and yes, even pardonable vanity!) can be had with ways and means other than guestbooks. So to all those who loved and lost a guestbook, may I commend this epitaph, with a genuine wish that they may transcend their grief and begin again, move ahead, try to detect it... it's not too late. —AbdiViklas 08:11, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

I never thought of it that way. Since I'm trying to write a book anyway, I could just put your description of my raging against the machine in a less stupid, real life setting and then I'd have a best selling novel - I could even say it was "based on a true story." Anyway, you seem like you have/had a really good education, considering the way you look at things. I envy you. Yeah, I'll halfta try some of those things. Thanks for helping me look at this site a little differently. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] Darth Drawing

I was looking over your user page, and I must say this drawing that DorianGray made you totally rules. I can't tell you how many times I have drawn Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker fighting, and that really brought back some good memories. 'Course, Vader never had a firey lightsaber, so yours is automatically four and a half times cooler. I'm obviously up past my bedtime to be making such a random post, so I'll sign off for the night now. Laters! — It's dot com 07:51, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

Hey, direct it at MY talk page! =3 I'm the one what drew the picture! Boy, if I hadn't been staying up reading an online copy of Naruto, it coulda been weeks b'fore I saw this. --DorianGray

Yeah, it's totally awesome. I've been a Star Wars freak for basically my entire life. And don't worry, Dorian, I think you're getting plenty of credit. We won't forget that it was your pure genius. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

^-^ Oh, no. The genius was in you. You made the character. All I did was draw it. --DorianGray

I'm not sure about that - I mean, I've never been good at drawing Darth Vader or anything. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

Yes, but... Without you, we'd just have a blank piece of paper... You were essential in the creation. Whereas all I did was echo your ideas onto the paper. =) --DorianGray

Well, thanks. Still, without you it'd just be an idea, because if I tried to draw it I'd just end up cussing at myself and giving up. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] Sig standards

Hey Katana. Just so you know, our sig standards are in place to keep someone having a signature that is way bigger than the blue box. If someone is just barely outside it, then it's not that big of a deal. It's kinda like how if you're going 68 mph in a 65 mph zone, the cop is probably not going to pull you over. If you're going 90 in a 65, though, then you can expect a ticket. Hope this helps! Keep on tranglin'. — It's dot com 06:03, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

Oh, man. I blew it real bad this time. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
Nah, man, you're cool. Just something to consider next time. :) — It's dot com 06:10, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
All right! Thanks for your patience. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
You have an archive.

[edit] Fhqwhgads robot

Hey Darth, before you go and change all those occurences of the word Visor Robot: Just so you know, most people around here would probably prefer if in general you discuss major changes like that on talk pages rather than just plowing right into it. Personally, I think your decision is probably a good one, but some others may not agree with me. You may want to talk with others about this project before continuing. Hope you understand. Keep up the good work you've been going here on the wiki, Heimstern Läufer 09:02, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

You're probably right, but I'm sure everyone will agree that he should be referred to as the Fhqwhgads Robot. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] Hey

Your userpage rocks! (So does Microsoft Sam). Crapfully yours, With crap, Yeltensic (T C) 05:12, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

Wow, thanks! It isn't every day that I just get a comment like that. Thanks again and welcome to the wiki! Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
Sure, rock on. With crap, Yeltensic (T C) 08:34, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] About that troll

I must say, I'm surprised no one caught that troll at the time of the offence. That's unfortuntate; normally we do and that comment would have been gone in a few seconds. Just so you know, though, it's not a good idea to respond to it with "YOU SUCK". That's what we call "feeding the trolls" around here, and it often just encourages them to keep doing it more. Just something to keep in mind for the future. Keep on tranglin'! Heimstern Läufer 07:17, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

That's a good point, but the reason I wrote "YOU SUCK!" is because that's what The Teach said in geddup noise, and I roll on the floor laughing whenever that part comes on. But yeah, "feeding the trolls" best describes what I just did. I'd rather start an arguement between trolls just before sunrise and steal all their food and armor like in The Hobbit than feed them.
Anyway, I wonder if that was someone I've known on the Internet in the past looking for revenge. Probably not someone from real life, I don't really know anyone who'd avenge themself like that. Maybe it was Nintendo Maximus; he has a Strong Bad avatar on one site, and me and him used to argue over whether this character from a video game anime named Sara was totally awesome or totally lame — plus he was on Wikipedia, there's that. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
Ah, I see why. Just so you know, though, I've always heard The Teach as saying "BLUE SOCK" (since, after all, he is a blue sock), and that's what we have in the Wiki. As to why that guy went after you, you can never be sure with this sort of thing. I've had plenty of people come after me when I had no idea why. Anyway, talk atcha later. Heimstern Läufer 07:42, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
Well, I like to think he said "YOU SUCK!" but I'll keep that quiet; the last thing I'd want to do is start a heated debate over what he said. (It's pretty obvious that he said "BLUE SOCK!" but it probably would've been funnier if he said what I thought he did.) Anyway, I'll just have to contact Nintendo Maximus. Unless he's blocked my e-mail address, he wouldn't be able to keep from opening something labeled "Wiki vandalism" if it was really him. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] Stinkomancake

Hey DKX, whatever happened to your Stinkomancake? I just noticed that it hasn't been talked about much. LePorello / T / C 00:10, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

It never happened, which sucks. Maybe someone else could make it. Then again, cool things barely happen...ever. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] RUN FOR COVER

I think christian rock is weird. Nice song, though. — Seriously (Talk) 02:01, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I really liked it, too. It's KJ-52 and TeeRawk from Thousand Foot Krutch. It's awesome because even if you're not a Christian it's so furious you just halfta dig it, you know? Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
I like U2, if you count them as Christian rock. With crap, Yeltensic (T C) 22:31, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I've made up a new slogan for U2; it's "everybody likes U2." No, really, me and my friends say that all the time. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
LOL..but I guess it says something that U2 is sort of a Christian rock band, and atheists like them; and that Bono is an outspoken liberal, and conservatives like them. With crap, Yeltensic (T C) 15:23, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I heard Moby's a liberal, too. That's kind of hypocritical for a Christian, but to each his own, I guess. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
Yeah, I've heard about Moby too...he's half-seriously suggested that the blue states break away from the United States and/or join Canada, to escape the tyranny of Bush, LOL. (I hope that doesn't happen, though; I'd be a liberal trapped in Redland, and you'd be a conservative trapped in Blueland. Seriously would luck out, though.) With crap, Yeltensic (T C) 06:29, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
Yeah. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] Back!!!

I caught you! You made an edit! You're back! The tyranny is over!!!Seriously (Talk) 22:14, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

I think it's funny how you reversed what sites you were using; first you left Wikipedia in favor of spending more time on TV.com, then you joined HRWiki, then after you left TV.com it wasn't too long before you announced your hiatus here and returned to Wikipedia. It was never all three at once. With crap, Yeltensic (T C) 22:31, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks, guys. I should probably stay off the site, but hey, I'll just stay and make edits whenever I feel like, gosh! Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
I was starting to wonder if you were going to be back after all to see these messages, I was going to tell you about them via e-mail if not. With crap, Yeltensic (T C) 03:41, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I just can't make up my mind. I think a little break was what I needed. Seeing the article on "The Fly" being taken down really made me feel better about the whole thing. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
I haven't heard of the Fly yet (unless you mean the U2 song or Bono's alter ego), but I suppose that's the point. With crap, Yeltensic (T C) 15:25, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
What I meant is that they made an article on the fly that landed in Homestar's mouth in Bug In Mouth Disease, but by all appearances it's gone now. Thank God; that was ridiculous. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
LOL...yep, that's ridiculous. With crap, Yeltensic (T C)
Guess what? It's still there! Oh, the humanity! It's at The Bug. If I were The Chaps, I'd demand that to be taken down! Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
AAAARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!! With crap, Yeltensic (T C) 16:15, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

Chea, thanks! Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
Your welcome. With crap, Yeltensic (T C) 16:15, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Personal images

Hello there. Each user is allowed to have 2 large personal images. You currently have 4 (see this page for a list). Personal images are ones that are being used in any personal capacity, not just on your user page itself. Please remove 2 of the images from the wiki pages. Thank you for your cooperation. — It's dot com 06:21, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

Uh, would taking off one suffice? Nah, forget it, I'll host a couple of them on my own host. Sorry for messing up, again. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] Argument at Hyperactive Strong Sad

I've been reading over that for a long time, and I seriously think you need to sit down for a moment and relax. The world is not against you. You don't "offend everybody". But, you are seriously irritating everybody with that discussion. Frankly, you are not listening to a single thing they are saying. A friend of mine once said

Making mistakes and annoying people isn't necessarily so bad; at least, it shouldn't entirely surprise you. It's called being human. Now, if you find that you're making a lot of mistakes in short amounts of time, it might mean something. In your case, I think it probably means slow down. If you're trying to drive at 60 mph with no headlights, you're probably going to run over some things; if you try to wiki at 60 mph the results are similar. By "slow down" I don't mean just wiki less, though that have therapeutic benefit; I basically mean chill. I can't tell you how often I see something, start to reply to it (or revert it), and halfway through, close the tab. At that point I either thought "It isn't worth the effort," or "If I say this I'll be starting an argument over something that isn't big enough to deserve one," or "What I'm saying just doesn't really need saying," or "I'll wait and see whether others feel the same way, and maybe then do something about this."

Can't you see what you're doing? I beg of you, please try to refrain from being hated by man users, or worse, getting blocked. Listen to everything that's been said. I'm telling you, it's getting kind of serious. You have made some offending mistakes in the past, but please don't think you're forever doomed to offending people. Turn back now, and you'll be an absolutely respected user. Don't go the way I did. — Seriously (Talk) 20:31, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice. You're still a respected user, right? So, basically, I'll try to be a little more civilized and listen to everyone better than I have. Kind of like the song by P.O.D. where they scream, "Mistakes and glories!" I was up all night listening to that, but...? Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
Please do not post identical comments in a thread like that; I find it highly unlikely that doing so will "lighten it up"; in fact, I believe it would have the opposite effect. Thanks. — It's dot com 23:06, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, you have a good point. People are so freakin' touchy around here, I wouldn't be surprised. (No offense to anyone in particular.) Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
See, that's what I'm saying, though; pretty much anyone anywhere will be offended by you saying they are touchy. But thinking that does not mean they are by any chance touchy. Just think what other people would think about your comments, and you will be respected. — Seriously (Talk) 00:10, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. I need to do that in real life, too. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
LOL—Katana, you remind me of a certain historical zealot who would rather cut somebody's ear off and ask questions later. If you know who I'm talking about, you know he made plenty of mistakes, and you know the great stuff he went on to do. Also note, though, that his revolutionary enthusiasm and eagerness to act were not simply flaws that had to be corrected; nicknaming him a "Son of Thunder" was an affirmation. But he also got a better-known name-change that implied stability. In the end he didn't lose his zeal, he just learned how to channel it wisely. Kinda like a katana: if it just flails about it's a hazard, but with discipline and a calm mind it's the tool of an artist. —AbdiViklas 18:10, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
Lord, Viklas, how do you write like that and think of similarities like that? How much did your education cost? Man, hopefully I'll be wise like that by the time I graduate. Thanks for that, it really made me look at this in a different way (I'm not gonna be reckless, now, still). Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

[edit] The glory days of underground alternative CCM

So I just saw your (now deleted) reference to Joy Electric. Remind me, how old are you and how comes it that you're aware of all the music that the kool kids were talking about back when I was in highschool? I refer of course to the mid-to-late 90s, that golden era when it was cool to like Sixpence because they were underground and edgy, when The Waiting and Echoing Green vied for the affections of the Airwalk-shod, puffy-flannel-shirt-clad dudes with sorta longish hair and chicks in pajama pants and face glitter; when ska was winding down and swing was winding (briefly) up and the W's tried awkwardly to shake one foot in each. So are you older than I thought or are you just a musicologist of recent history? —AbdiViklas 03:03, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

Well, uh, my age is sort of classified information, but I've made a lot of references to Joy Electric on this site. I hope you're not offended by my "Joy Electric cult" comment. My brother's had real bad experience with a bunch of weird, superficial, judgemental Joy Electric fans, y'know, who have kind of been brainwashed by synthpop. I actually really like Joy Electric and most of the techno thing. And yeah, I remember when Sixpence None the Richer was really popular and "Kiss Me" or "There She Goes" was in every fluffy teen movie to hit the planet. If you're interested, the Joy Electric guy is doing a new album right now. He looks kind of like me when I get mad on the new promo pic. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
Yeah, but actually I was talking about before "Kiss Me" got radio play, when they were what The Whitestripes are now. Except less heard-of. —AbdiViklas 05:48, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
Back then, I didn't know much about Christian underground music, but now I do. Now I'm into artists most people don't know about like Cloud2Ground. It's pretty cool. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
