[edit] Let's give this a title.

Perhaps some good 'ol fashioned tables would work better, here and there? This isn't my project, so I figured I'd ask here first while there's still the flood of edits from the creator. Thunderbird 01:38, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

okay. I created the page. pretty good idea, Huh? of course tables would be nice!-- Benol, aka Coach B 01:40, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
Definently. A bit of consolidation's often good. Thunderbird 01:43, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
Alright, I made the basic format. Just fill in the rest following the same thing and you'll do fine. I'm gonna go eat dinner, but I'll check back on it a bit later. Thunderbird 01:48, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

Ummm... Thunderbird... I can't do that table thingy! I don't know how!!!!!-- Benol, aka Coach B 01:53, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

That's okay. It does look a bit tricky when you first see it. I still don't know how to make one, I just copy the code from a template already made, and just replace stuff with my own. I learned all I know that way, just copying other people's work. Thunderbird 01:58, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

It doesn't matter. Lapper started on it! :)-- Benol, aka Coach B 01:59, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

Oh, and I noticed you were never officially welcomed to the wiki. So... Welcome to the Wiki. Feel free to ask if you ever need any help. Thunderbird 02:04, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

Actually, I hate to throw a discordant note in here, but I'm extremely sceptical about the desirability of the table for the entries that have subsections or lengthy stuff, like Klown Kare straight through Barbzerdry. (I strongly agree that it would help there, though!) —AbdiViklas 02:01, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

Hmm... That's true. Although perhaps a bit of reformating will work, changing the lists into conversational style, while still keeping the essentials. Hang on, I'll see what I can do. Thunderbird 02:04, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
Oh wait. I'm a bit hesitent with Lapper's "in progress" notice. I'll wait a few minutes first to see if anything happens. Thunderbird 02:05, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
Hey! what about CGNU?! --Stux 02:53, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Galoob piccy!

we need to find a pic for Galoob.

How about something along the lines of its logo? --DorianGray
I already got the only one we could get from the site. Should we go with the real company's logo? Thunderbird 02:49, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
I think you should get the logo off the fluffy puff bag-- Benol, aka Coach B 02:50, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
The Galoob logo isn't on the Fluffy Puff bag, however. I think using the real logo might be good here, as it's a real company (or was, anyway). Especially seeing how as the only mention of Galoob on the site is the title bar. Just slap that template thing on it--y'know, the one used on the logos in the interviews and public appearances pages. --DorianGray
If you want to, go for it. Thunderbird 03:14, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
I would, but for one thing: one, the images found in the link above are all GIFs (and one JPEG), and look kinda pixelly. Ah, well. If anyone knew how to fix images like that, they could do it... --DorianGray

[edit] alphabetize

can you try to alphabetize it? (let's do teen girl squad minor characters in tables next!)-- Benol, aka Coach B 02:54, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Senor Mortgage

ADD SENOR MORTGAGE (company) ALSO!!!-- Benol, aka Coach B 02:57, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

That article is too big for this page, but I have linked to it. — It's dot com 03:41, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Superfied Credit Union

Personally, I think the SCU is major enough to have it's own page. - Joshua 03:12, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

Well I think all the pages left are big enough at the least, (I.e. Senor Cartgage Mortgage). I don't know about Superfied Credit Union. It is technically only in two places, and a POSSIBLE third. Thunderbird 03:13, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
If so, you can create it, or someone else could, as well as the current description here with a link styled: Main article: Superfied Credit Union. — Lapper (talk) 03:15, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
Well, I'm fine with most of the companies here, but when something has 3+ appearances, I think it's major enough to warrant its own article. - Joshua 03:55, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Done

This page is pretty much done for now. All the other companies are alot bigger, such as Cheap as Free, or high profile, such as Thorax Corporation Thunderbird 03:52, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

CGNU isn't that minor. It has like 6 appearances. Isn't this list for 3 appearances or under? Thunderbird 04:28, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
I dunno... Superfied has like ... 1, 2, 3... oh 3! I don't think the 3 appearances was set in stone was it? I wasn't in the characters so i put it there, and i figure it would just be nice to have here. --Stux 04:31, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
The third is debatable. Oh wait, you're right. The FOURTH is debatable. Oh well, up to you. I'm sick, so I don't care as much about stuff today.  :) Thunderbird 04:32, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
Oh I see what you mean, but I can't take credit for that, I ripped it straight out of the CGNU page. so if we take that down then it's 5... Ugh I'm not sure either... how about I leave it there for now and see what people thing? I may not be sick but I am tired. --Stux 04:52, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Wait

Didn't we un-merge most of the pages here? --Trogga 20:04, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cleanup time!

While I like the idea of this page, it bothers me that there are an excessive number of "See Main Article" entries in this list. Doesn't make them seem very minor, does it? So, either some pages should be merged into this one (Freshley's for example) or removed from the list (Bookazon.com or Boardelectrix) Either way, this article needs to gone over again to determine if they are really still "minor". wbwolf (t | ed) 15:02, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

It seems like we're listing ALL companies here. Why not move this page to just Companies, similar to Characters Which lists all characters? — Defender1031*Talk 15:16, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Perhaps it would be more prudent, but that would make one heck of a large page to navigate. We could divide the Companies page into Major and Minor companies, or set them up as opposing columns. Just a thought from a n00b. - Arwyn 16:19, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Scope

The scope of this page is unclear. Which companies count as "minor"? I'd assume this page would simply list all companies without their own dedicated pages (similar to Minor Foods or Minor Drinks), but there are several companies listed here with links to their own articles. Not only that, but the "See Also" section includes even more minor companies, and I can't tell why these are separated from the rest of the table. Plus, there are plenty of other minor companies (with their own pages) that aren't even mentioned here.

Personally, I think the best option is to limit the page's scope to companies without their own pages. Or alternatively, we could turn this page into a list of all companies, major or minor, as suggested in the above discussion (although considering we already have a category and character page section listing companies, I don't think this is necessary). Either way, this page would have a clearly defined scope, so we wouldn't have to discuss whether Freshley's counts. Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 04:08, 26 October 2021 (UTC)

I agree that the character page section should cover anything that has its own page. Furthermore I feel that this article is very weak - lots of "maybe", "possibly", "presumably" to say not much at all, and very little content besides describing what the logo looks like. -- Bleu Ninja 05:11, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
