DJ Teh Cheat b/w The New Kot

In the recording industry, b/w stands for "backed with" and was used on vinyl records to distinguish between the content of the A and B sides; for example, "Yellow Submarine b/w Eleanor Rigby". The Brothers Chaps have a fondness for intentionally (mis)using it in contexts where a word such as "and" or "with" would be appropriate.

On rare occasions, this abbreviation is used for some other purpose. In the email big white face, Strong Bad runs a program or command called "b/w" to convert his monitor to an old black and white Macintosh layout; in Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 13.2, the abbreviation is actually used correctly on the jacket of a 7-inch vinyl record.

• Debut: Strong Sad's Lament — Strong Sad lists "Arts b/w Crafts" among his interests on his user profile.
• Arcade Game — In an Easter egg, Homestar Runner's expenses list "pork b/w beans" for $150.
• Email big white face — Strong Bad types "run "b/w"" to turn his monitor black and white, resembling an old Macintosh layout.
• Peasant's Quest — One of the screens is titled "River b/w Tree".
• Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 13.2 — A record jacket designed like a playing card with "DJ Teh Cheat b/w The New Kot" written in the middle is seen. The same album cover is seen again in the Podstar Runner email intro.
• Z' ShopChan — One of the homemade gifts sold is called "Seashells b/w Office Supplies".
• Email business trip — "Pork b/w Beans" appears again, this time in cans labelled as such that Homestar brought to the business trip.
• Trogday 08 — A newspaper appears with a headline reading "top mark b/w long V". It is illustrated with a picture of the S is for Sucks Dragon's head.
• Main Page 26 — The listing for this main page in the TV Time Toons Menu says "It was just a matter of time. Zesty b/w tangy!".
• Record Store Day —
  • "Architecture Jerk b/w Helvetica Chump" is seen on the disc case of a cardboard home structure.
  • The YouTube version of this toon is entitled "Record Store Day b/w B-est of B-sides".
• Flash is Dead! — In an Easter egg, Homestar lists "beans b/w rice" on his Dating Profile as the only thing he likes.
• @StrongBadActual Tweet (18 Nov 2016) — One of Strong Bad's prank call ideas directed towards Marzipan is "Movers call her. Maybe actually force her to move b/w steal all her stuff."
• @StrongBadActual Tweet (25 Dec 2017) — In a reply to @thediabeatles, who gifted each member of their family a Deep Impact DVD, Strong Bad describes their reactions as "Unamused b/w secretly plotting revenge."
• @StrongBadActual Tweet (10 Jul 2018) — Strong Bad lists "The Face Paint Connection b/w the Insidious Mr. Cheatayama!" among the many names the trio formed by him, Strong Mad and The Cheat is known as.
• @StrongBadActual Tweet (15 Dec 2019) — Strong Bad posts a photo of "Dubrowvski crystal Strong Sad b/w Santameeple Trogdor." as ornaments on a Christmas tree.
