In Chinese superstition, the number 8 means wealth. This email was email number 88 and Strong Bad tries to print out a million dollar bill.

  • This is a stretch.
    • Not to mention obscure. At least the gross debacle was over a common number.

Additional comments:

  • This fact was added and removed from the article three times, so it has been STUFFed to decide if it should remain.
  • Even if this is true, I doubt TBC knew about it.

[edit] Hazmat = Matt?

The Poopsmith's Has Matt? uniform is a reference to Matt Chapman.

Arguments for:

  • Mike and Matt create these cartoons.
  • There's no way you could put your brother's or your own name in a cartoon without realizing it's there, even if it's a pun (i.e. it's not a coincidence).
  • It easily could have just been "has mat?"

Arguments against:

  • It is already a hazmat joke.
  • The fact that Matt is the name of one of the Chapmans is probably just an unintended coincidence.
  • Even if it is a reference to Matt Chapman, is it really notable?

Additional comments:

  • No one seemed to care about the "Matt equals MATT!" line from 50 emails. Why is this now suddenly not a coincidence?
    • That's because "Matt = MATT!" was obviously said because Matt wrote in.
