[edit] Beverly Sportsinterviews

Two Sportsinterviews for the price of one!

Beverly "Bev" Sportsinterviews is the second-most-frequently cited Sportsinterviews author. Her name is a parody of children's author Beverly Cleary, and her books similarly seem to be targeted at chapter-book readers. Many of her books have recieved literary awards: The "Some Award" (Ewww, Claire!! Why??? and Laramie, Why?), the "Gold Circle" ("Cat," spoke Anne, "Wash!"), and the "Round Award" (Problem Brian and Scar, Let Moe!).

Beverly collaborated with Lem Sportsinterviews on Laramie, Why?. Apart from sharing their surname, their exact relationship is not specified — in a 2007 interview, The Brothers Chaps suggest that she is married to Lem or has since divorced him.

Beverly is credited as the writer for Stinkoman and the Challenge of the Crystal Shards as "Beverly Sportsinterviews-Chimendez", suggesting that she may have married fellow television writer A. Chimendez. This also implies that Beverly is a relative of Lem as opposed to an ex-wife, as the practice of hyphenating a last name is far more commonly used to retain a familial surname than a surname from a previous marriage.

[edit] Minor Sportsinterviewses

Additional authors bearing the Sportsinterviews surname continue to appear, though only mentioned once or twice.

  • Crazy Prof. Sportsinterviews — a parody of Dr. Seuss
  • Leomardbury Chauceinterviews — a parody of Geoffrey Chaucer
  • Old Maid Bevulon Sportsinterviews — a children's author, published alongside Lem's Everyone is Different and That Time of Year
  • Edgar Allen Sportsinterviews — a parody of Edgar Allan Poe
  • Lem Sportsverslaggever — a Dutch children's author ("Sportsverslaggever" approximately translating to "Sportsinterviews" in Dutch)
  • James L. Sportsinterviews — a parody of screenwriter James L. Brooks, Sportsinterviews is the creator of the sitcom No Probalo! starring Senor Cardgage
  • M. Emmet Sportsinterviews — writer of Limozeen: "but they're in space!" episode "Zeenin' Into the Night"
