The first appearance of Limozeen, in monster truck, was assembled from several pictures of Donnie Chapman dressed as Crüe frontman Vince Neil for Halloween 1987.

Mötley Crüe (pronounced "Motley Crew") is a heavy metal band. At the peak of their popularity in the 1980s, the group was well-known for their outrageous lifestyles and heavily styled appearances, emblematic of the glam metal subgenre. Enjoyed by The Brothers Chaps, Crüe are one of the primary influences on the glam metal pastiche group Limozeen.

In the Strong Bad Email band names, Strong Bad suggests naming a band by intentionally spelling a word wrong; though not specifically mentioned in the toon, Mötley Crüe is a prominent example of a band named with this method.
