Coolness!

Your user talk page (and everything else) is now in Trebuchet MS, Just like in JoeyDay's sig. It looks much better this way. — Seriously (Talk) 14:55, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

My sig

STAY AWAY FROM MY Sigg. Wait one sec. HAHAHAHAHA. Nah I am just kidding, but thanks for doing that for me. - H*Bad

Anytime. ;) Thunderbird 21:03, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
As you can tell I am very very happy today for no reason. So I will sound all weird. :) - H*Bad

Resoultion

You may be interested to know that I can see your page with no problems at 1024x768 screen resoultion. ~Linuxerist L / T 07:05, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

Oh good. I just threw that up there a long time ago, I should probably change that. I just chose those numbers because that's what I use, and it looks good to me. Thinking about it now though, it's probably got a pretty flexible layout, yeah. Thanks, I'll change that a bit later to something fresh. Thunderbird 07:30, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

My bro

Is it ok if my bro makes a user on here. I am telling you this so you guys don't think I am creating sockpuppets or anything. He is wanting the user:lil H*bad by the way.--H*bad 22:34, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

I guess it doesn't matter.--The cheatman 01:01, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

Seriously

I don't think that *'s are allowed on here. I don't want to be a tattle tail but he has a lot of them on his page.--The cheatman 01:01, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

Not here bro. The mighty thunderbird has no power at the fanstuff. So leave him alone.--H*bad 01:03, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
{This has since been changed}

Moving day

I am now moving in to this wiki. They don't like me so well at the Fanstuff so I am moving here to the good wiki.--H*bad 00:27, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

What's In a Name. Really

Hey why do you have your name translated into Spanish, German and Hebrew? Any particualr reasons? Raptor5ix-Image:Raptor5ixsiggy.png 00:42, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

Heh, not really. Just because we have users here that speak Spanish, German, and Hebrew, so I figured why not. You're welcome to add a translation of "Thunderbird", if you know it for Ukranian or something. Thunderbird 01:53, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
"Meh," He tought, "Why not". So here's the closest I can get to it as there is no such thing as a thunderbird in Ukraininan: гримовий птах. BTW don't wanna suck up or anything but SWEET PAGE Raptor5ix-Image:Raptor5ixsiggy.png 20:53, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Thanks man, that's totally being added. is гримовий "Thunder", and "птах" Bird? Thunderbird 20:55, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

I left...

... something in the Sandbox... Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 22:01, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

"I left something in the Sandbox". Heh, that's gotta be one of the funniest quotes of yours I've ever heard. But yeah, that would be a decent alternative. Perhaps propose a revision at Elcool's STUFF page. I'm just waiting for them to decide it's fate. :) Thunderbird 22:05, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

Since mean ole Dot Com busted the party ;) Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 22:18, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

I realize I was the party pooper, but we shouldn't encourage voting on personal things or use STUFF elements outside STUFF pages. I like the userbox, though. — It's dot com 22:21, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Oh, I understand, hence the winky. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 22:22, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the revision though, Qermaq. I'm gonna go change it right now. Thunderbird 22:31, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Mind If I use this for my page? No, okay thanks (lol) Raptor5ix-Image:Raptor5ixsiggy.png 00:31, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
I came up with the original, but Qermaq added the image for me. In any case, go right ahead. Fair trade for your translation skills. ;) Thunderbird 00:43, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

Canada?

You live in Canada? What is it like there? Do you ever eat interesting foods, like... back bacon? Did you perhaps learn a second language, like French? Or have a pet... walrus? In any case, nice to meet you Canuck. Qermaq (Talk | contribs) 00:10, 11 April 2006 (left unsigned)

Yes I do live in Canada. It's cold up here in the winter. I eat back bacon on occasion, but usually I prefer normal bacon. I probably should have learned a second language, but didn't. I used to have a few pets, Dogs, cats, rabbits, but currently I have none. Nice to meet you too, Qermaq. Thunderbird 04:14, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
Oh, ho! I was indeed nice to meet you, Poopaw! Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 04:24, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

autograph?

Woah, you got an autograph from Matt and Mike? Lucky! Man... I live in Seattle, and yet I didn't go to Flashfoward! — talk Bubsty edits 04:38, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
Heh, well it would have been pricey for you anyways. Upwards of... several hundred dollars. There'll probably be another chance for you sometime though. Thunderbird 07:21, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

Contents Question

Is it possible to get a contents for your user page? I see that you got one in this user talk but when I went to see what you put in to get one of em the only thing I saw seperating the "⇔Thunversations⇔" from this part of the conversation page was a in caps message about not editing above this line or haveing to face the rath of some undetermined fate. So I look all over everywhere I can't find anything in there that let's you have a contents box though I did realize that the URL is different. Am I overlooking something, Is the Box supplied when you get a long enough page, Are some pages just equiped with this from the begining? When I held my mouse over the hide / show button it reads "javascript:toggleToc()" and I know what javascript is. Whenever i go to edit something I look at where the contents are and... it pulls a Houdini.... upon hiting the "Show preview" thing It includes this in the contents. If you don't mind clearing this up for my that would be appriciated.

The top line regarding Thundery rath and all that, is just to protect my Talk archives navigation template, so you can go from month to month of old conversations. The reason my userpage does not have a table of contents, is simple. If you look at the very bottom of the code (by clicking "edit" but not saving it) I put at the bottom a little "__NOTOC__". What that does, is prevents a table of contents from appearing. "Don't ask me why I did it... Because I already forgot." Now whether they appear or not, is somewhere under your personal preferences, the same place you set your sig, etc. You choose in your personal settings to display Tables of Contents or not. If you choose to show them, then once a page gets more than three headers (A header is defined by a little edit tag so you can edit the sub section), then it will display a table of contents for you. Putting "__TOC__", "__NOTOC__" or "__FORCETOC__" on a page will override your preferences. The first one will make the TOC appear after a page has three headings (regardless of what you have selected in your preferences), the second one will not allow the TOC to appear, and the third one will cause a TOC to appear on the page even when there's less than three headings. Some of these are used on pages around the wiki, for instance you'll notice The updates pages shouldn't have tables of contents whether it's selected under preferences for you or not. Since that page has so many headings, a TOC would be very long, therefore we use __NOTOC__. But whether they appear or not, they're automatically generated, you won't see a code for them or anything. I hope that answers your question Yoshi, let me know if you have any others. Thunderbird 07:45, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
To clarify: normally a page will automatically get a TOC just before the first heading if there are more than 3 headings on the page (provided it's turned on in your prefs). __NOTOC__ forces there to be no TOC, __FORCETOC__ forces there to be a TOC, and __TOC__ forces there to be a TOC and moves the TOC to where you wrote __TOC__ (instead of the normal place, between the opening text and the first heading). This lets you do fancy things, like <div style="float:right">__TOC__</div> to get a floating TOC (like on my talk page). On a tangent, is a similar tag, __NOEDITSECTION__, which stops the [edit] links from appearing next to the headers. --phlip TC 07:56, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

Happy easter

hello thunderbird l17, how are you, how is easter (If you celebrate it?)?

Anything happen to you?

Nikolce Kocovski 01:58, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

Hi Nikolce. Though I don't actually celebrate Easter, I do observe something similar, and I appreciate the sentiment. Not much has happened lately, except that I've been looking after somebody's house and dog while they're in Italy. Talk to you later, Thunderbird 02:14, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

NYU Talk

I noticed NYU Talk on your unfinished jobs. I have the DVD of it as was planning on doing it. You want to do it together? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 21:57, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

Actually, I've been planning on getting around to it, but I'm still gonna be pretty busy for the next few days. What I was planning, was instead of trying to transcribe the whole thing, summarize it in the same fashion as the Flashforward page. Not only is that easier to write, as you can listen to a minute of it and then summarize without going over it repeatedly, but I find it's also an easier read than a terribly long mega-page. If you want to try and get some done in that way, go ahead. I'll also try and get it done sometime later, and I'm sure various users would go over what you write and fix any spelling or grammatical errors. That's what they did for me. :) Thunderbird 22:54, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
Good Idea. Can I do it with you? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 23:01, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
Sure. You can start working on it, if I have time I'll try to get some done too. And of course I and other users will probably try to help out a bit too, once you get the ball rolling. Thunderbird 05:19, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the Strong Bad's Website Hookup

I forgot that it was his, and not the Cheat's. Also, I didn't know how to ask as a general question, so forgive me for putting the edit on the Cheat's page.

See you later, -P Funky

Waste of time

Can I make a "waste of time" template? Such as:

Warning: This is a waste of time.

Einstein runner (thorax.pngfile_icon.gifmail_icon.gif) 23:44, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

No. The only time that template would be needed would be to post it on itself as it's being made, which is kind of... You know... Impossible. Feel free to use it whenever, but by typing it out and adding the image, not by making it a template. Thunderbird 00:00, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

JPG/PNG

Thanks for the tip that you del taco'd. I'll try to keep that in mind. —Einstein runner (thorax.pngfile_icon.gifmail_icon.gif) 01:06, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

Heh, that was directed at another user, I got my wires crossed and accidentally directed it at you. Thanks for keeping it in mind anyways though. ;) Thunderbird 01:20, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

Sandbox

Hi, T-bird. Why did you revert my edit when I put my April Fool's day page on the sandbox? NO!!! PLEASE... DON'T SHOOT!!! Tampo (T/C) AND SOMEONE GET THiS FREAKiN CURSOR AWAY FROM ME!!!!! 22:35, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

If users want to see your userpage, they can go to User:Tampo. There is no reason to template it into the Sandbox as well, the Sandbox is fine as it is. Thunderbird 22:36, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
In rv/t, what does the T stand for? NO!!! PLEASE... DON'T SHOOT!!! Tampo (T/C) AND SOMEONE GET THiS FREAKiN CURSOR AWAY FROM ME!!!!! 22:42, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
Anyway, When I type {{User:Tampo}} it doesn't show my userpage. It shows my Aprilween userpage. It only shows my userpage when I type {{subst:User:Tampo}}.NO!!! PLEASE... DON'T SHOOT!!! Tampo (T/C) AND SOMEONE GET THiS FREAKiN CURSOR AWAY FROM ME!!!!! 22:47, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
That would be by your use of noinclude tags. But I'm sure you already knew that. Thunderbird 22:56, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
What does "rv/t" mean? I'm thinking it means "reverted troll" but i was just testing in the sandbox. NO!!! PLEASE... DON'T SHOOT!!! Tampo (T/C) AND SOMEONE GET THiS FREAKiN CURSOR AWAY FROM ME!!!!! 22:59, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
It does not mean troll. Thunderbird 23:04, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

Block

Your username has been blocked indefinitely because it is inappropriate. You are encouraged to create a new account and contribute to the HRWiki under a more appropriate username, and... and what? did you typre something there? --TheThin 00:06, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

The window used for giving a reason for block is longer than the window allowed in recent changes. The user will see my full reason, and the full reason is also contained here. Thank you for your inquiry. Thunderbird 00:08, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
Won't blocking the username also block the IP that used it? - Joshua 02:18, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
Yes, for 24 hours. —BazookaJoe 02:31, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
Actually, once they try and use the account, then it blocks the IP address for 24 hours. But after it has autoblocked, you can go to the block log, and specifically unblock the autoblocked IP address, which I just did. Thunderbird 04:50, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

HRFWiki

I didn't relize that you had power at the Fanstuff wiki. I thought that you only had power here.--H*bad 23:27, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

All HRWiki sysops with accounts at the Fanstuff have provisional status there as well. Thunderbird 23:44, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
Cool. Also I hate to ask you this, but I know that this really doesn't matter anymore. But can you make me trusted. If you do I would help here a lot more.--H*bad 23:54, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
There is no "trusted" group anymore. That was created during the aftermath of the NSMC attack, and since then has been unneeded and redundant. That status was recently done away with (Earlier today in fact). Thunderbird 23:56, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
Oh... How much stuff would I have to do to become a sysop?--H*bad 23:58, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
See HRWiki:FAQ#How do I become an admin or sysop?. The basic principles are applicable at both wikis. Thunderbird 00:00, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Then I will be a sysop if its the last thing I do in my life.--H*bad 21:01, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

Blog

I made a HRWiki Blog. --TheThin 21:38, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

No, you didn't. You do not have the authority to make a blog in the HRWiki's name. What you are currently doing is also considered spamming. Thunderbird 21:42, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Oh umm I'm sorry I didn't know. It took me two weeks to do this. --TheThin 21:44, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Two weeks to set up the blog, or to post your reply? Thunderbird 21:49, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Thats sounds a little rude.--H*Bad
I'm sorry you feel that way, what I meant was that I just don't understand what exactly took him two weeks to do. I would assume it wouldn't be to post the reply, but does it really take two weeks to set up a blog on blogger? Thunderbird 21:58, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Oh, then I am sorry. Its just the post your reply could imply that your calling him stupid.--H*bad 22:00, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
No, I did not mean anything of the sort. That comment was meant as a play on his choice of words to ask for a clarification, not as an insult. I see how it could have been construed differently due to the inability to include inflection and sarcasm in the written word; perhaps if I had included ;) it would have been more accurately understood. And my original question still stands before this thread went off topic, that of "Did it really take two weeks to set up the blog?" Thunderbird 22:11, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

Bureaucrat

I was really suprised just now that your not a Bureaucrat. I mean you are quiet possibly one of the best Sysops on here, thats not a Sysop, Bureaucrat.--H*Bad

The biggest difference between sysops and bureaucrats/developers is the ability to go into the interworkings of the wiki, which is way over my head anyways. If I ever were to change anything beneath the surface code, I would probably end up doing more harm than good. ;) Thunderbird 22:43, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Oh, but I believe in you. And if they vote for Bureaucrats then I will vote for you.--H*bad 22:45, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

Why doesn't he have a talk page? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 22:29, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
And is his last name Kohr?--H*bad 22:30, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
To the best of my knowledge, he is not the editthis.info guy. And he chose to delete his pages when he left the wiki. Thunderbird 22:34, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Why?--H*bad 22:36, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Does that mean he was a sysop? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 23:40, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Not on the knowledge base. His pages were deleted for him. — It's dot com 23:42, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Rainer was, at one time, an incredibly respected administrator on the Fanstuff Wiki. However, he left November 29, I believe. He left his userpage as a goodbye note to the Fanstuff Wiki, but somewhere in late April, he came back for one final edit, in which he deleted his userpage, saying "Don't need this anymore...". He then requested here a name change to Rob. The only reason we can ssume for this is that he is completely divesting himself of the Rainer account in a symblocial way. Thus, Rob is barely an account. — Seriously (Talk) 20:04, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

About my Anonny Contribution

Thunderbird, The info I gave is, in fact, first-hand info about the identity of the "Anonymous Contributor" from Gambier, OH. I understand that it's not easily backed-up, but is there any way that this info (or some modified version of it) could eventually make it on the actually Anonymous main page? I think it would be pretty cool if this were possible. Let me know! Thanks. -Davonian

Sadly, this kind of thing happens pretty often. However not only is there really no way to verify interesting facts of this nature, (though in this case I totally belive you), it also doesn't really contribute to the article very muchly. However it has been added to the talk page for the article, and I do appreciate the contribution. In the future if we decide to make a list of all "Email Authorship Claims", I will be sure to add the information you have given. (Though I am curious, since you didn't exactly give much information; are you the author himself, a close friend who knows who it is, or somebody on the outside)? Thanks again for your contribution, I always enjoy talking with those who have had their emails answered, or know someone who have. Thunderbird 19:59, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
If you can believe me to be a follower of a famous saying by Socrates, then you will surely believe me when I say that I know the actual author very well.
Sorry about that...I'm a philosophy minor, you see (and was almost a major). Let me know if that made any sense. -Davonian (I should figure out how to do a spiffy little sig)
The "spiffy little sig" starts with the basics, namely typing ~~~~ at the end of your post. See also HRWiki:Signature and Help:Signature. As for the question of authorship, since this has come up before, I have created a trial subpage to list all authorship claimants. Feel free to clarify my entry of your claim there. Regarding your comment about the famous saying by Socrates, I'm sorry but I must admit I have no idea what you meant there. ;) Let me know if you have any more questions regarding the wiki, if you are planning to stick around I also highly suggest creating yourself a userpage. Again, welcome. Thunderbird 20:56, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
Just thought you should know...but maybe I'll be nice to Anonny and keep his/her identity a little bit more secret to the public for the time being. I guess people could still find that information, since I can't get rid of it in a truly permanent way, but if they find it, well, good for them.
If you wish, I could remove the supposed claim of authorship regarding rock opera, depending on how annonymous the author wishes to remain. (By the way, rock opera is one of my favorite emails). Thunderbird 21:49, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
The way you have it right now seems to be juuust fine. I mean, it doesn't actually tell anybody anything about who Anonny actually is. By the way, he/she says he/she is glad you like his/her email. Maybe someday he/she will like to proclaim his/her true identity to the world. <Ò>DAVONIAN<Ó>
