Colours

Well, if you want your name to be any color, you can type <font color=whatever>phlip</font>.

I put that there because I didn't have anything useful to put at the time, and my name would show up in red in a signature if my user page didn't exist...
Sure, I could have done that, but this was easier. --phlip TC 04:20, 19 May 2005 (UTC)

Your creation of the article "Videro"

I deleted the article you created because there was no need for an entire page divoted to a misspelling of a word. Thanks for your effort, but in the future I would suggest you add similiar words to the Glossary. I added the bulk of your entry to the "V" section so you can see your contribution is still on the wiki! —THE PAPER PREEEOW 00:15, 27 May 2005 (UTC)

I changed the Videro links in Experimental Film, Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon, and Videro Games to go the "V" section in the Glossary. --BazookaJoe 00:44, 27 May 2005 (UTC)
Ah, ok, I didn't know about the glossary --phlip TC 02:20, 27 May 2005 (UTC)

Stinkoman 20X6 Cheat Program - Level 7

I hope you don't mind, but I updated most (the levelData and externalSwf folders, the object library, and stinkogame.swf) of your Stinkoman 20X6 Cheat Program up to Level 7. It works while testing, with one 'minor' glitch: if you switch the Level 7 Stinkoman with the Stinkoman on the "1" button, then his idle animation will not play. Do you want me to email it to you so you can upload it to your website? --videlectrix.pngENUSY discussionitem_icon.gif user.gifmail_icon.gif, 18:10, 6 July 2005

No, I don't mind at all, thanks. I'll have a look at the new level soon (I just got back from holidays) and fix up whatever needs fixing in the cheat program. Don't worry about emailing me your version, it should be simple enough to update at my end. --phlip TC 13:26, 16 Jul 2005 (UTC)
This is awesome. I can't believe I am just discovering this! This program should be highlighted somewhere special! I R F 20:01, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

Bravo Phlip on your cheat program! Funnest ever! I speak HTML too. From Gooblies

Colours

I saw your comment on the recent changes page about having to try not to type colours instead of colors. Both British and American spellings of words are acceptable on the Wiki, so don't worry about Americanizing your edits. --mibluvr13dígame 15:46, 3 Aug 2005 (UTC)

It's alright, I was being facaetious. --phlip TC 15:47, 3 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Easter Eggs in video games

Regardless of whether or not you think clicking on the game boxes counts as an Easter Egg, it's a real stretch to say that "get dagger" doesn't apply. --Jay (Gobble) 07:08, 30 Aug 2005 (UTC)

True, I hadn't thought of that, but that isn't really in the email though, it's in something linked to from the email... in much the same way as the easter eggs in the emails aren't considered eggs of the email menu. --phlip TC 07:13, 30 Aug 2005 (UTC)

onomatowhat?

Any onomatpoea (sp?) sounds good to me...yo--Adamlw 08:27, 12 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Yeah, I cheated and used the dictionary to find out how it was spelled too ;) --phlip TC 08:28, 12 Sep 2005 (UTC)

I didn't want to waste the time..plus.. it's 3:30 am.. i'm going to bed yo... btw.. do you agree with the changes i made to that page? I'm just curious for feedback..--Adamlw 08:31, 12 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Your donation arrived

Phlip, your donation has arrived in the mail. It's not often I get $100 checks from Australia. The wiki appreciates you! I'm going to attribute your donation to 'Phlip', but let me know if you want me to use your real name for whatever reason. Thanks. — wikisig.gif Joey (talk·edits) 00:13, 20 Sep 2005 (UTC)

I'd rather "Phillip Bradbury" but I'm happy either way. --phlip TC 03:52, 20 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Decompile

Do you have a decompiler that also decompiles with the actionscript? If so please decompile it and host it on a site. Leave me a note at my talk page. :-) – Pertmywert (Talk·Edits) 05:02, 26 Sep 2005 (UTC)

If by "it" you mean Stinkoman 20X6, then no, I don't. I use Eltima Flash Decompiler, which kinda handles AS ok, but not really. It's usually enough for you to figure out what it was supposed to do, but it's not good enough to make something that will recompile and work. switches come out broken, and ifs often have the ending brace in the wrong place. AS2.0 classes come out ok most of the time, but every now and again there's one that is completely wrong or even refuses to decompile and I have to use a disassembly (in Stinkoman 20X6, the Player, JumpingPlayer, BossWall and BossSnake classes are like this). Being able to figure out which function does what is enough for making the cheat program, though it means doing more weird code injection than would be necessary if I could decompile it properly. Meh, it's enough for me. --phlip TC 06:12, 26 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Well can you decompile it for me??? – Pertmywert (Talk·Edits) 07:56, 27 Sep 2005 (UTC)
I do believe I already said the answer to that question is "no, I can't." --phlip TC 08:45, 27 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Gaspue and frotoz thing

Uh, how do you know that it's the other way around? H*R 700 {not logged in}}

He found it by decompiling the game (there's something called a "Gaspeau trigger"), as was pointed out some time ago on Talk:Stinkoman 20X6 Enemies and, frankly, I'm surprised he didn't change it earlier. Oh, and it's "Gaspeau" and "Frotzer." --Jay (Gobble) 14:45, 1 Oct 2005 (UTC)
I didn't change it earlier because I only just realised I was wrong today. Originally I looked at the decompilation and somehow decided from that that Gaspeau was the red one. I'm still not sure what I misread. I saw the mention of a "Gaspeau Trigger" on that page, but though it was odd I didn't look into it further - firm in my belief that Gaspeau was red from my previous looking in the code. Today I looked again (for a completely different reason) and saw that I was wrong, Gaspeau is the blue one. So I came here and fixed all the references. --phlip TC 15:44, 1 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Woah, cool. Thank you, for the infomation. H*R 700 {not logged in}

SWF to GIF (Headless Homestar from mile)

Hi, Phlip. I was just wondering if you had come across the talk page of Headless Dancer.PNG. The reason why I ask is that you did such a great job with georgestar.gif (from Fan Stuff) that I thought you might be able to offer some insight in the best way to make this image an animated GIF. Thank you! —THE PAPER PREEEOW 04:03, 12 October 2005 (UTC)

Wow, check out Image:headlessdance.gif. That was .SWF to .GIF in like seven minutes. Good work! -- Tom 04:14, 12 October 2005 (UTC)
Heh - how about I upload the one I already had sitting on my HDD from ages ago? Image:headlessdance.gif. Just remember if you want to put it anywhere that the image-scaling routines used here on hrwiki do not handle animated gifs well, so you can't use thumb or any other scaling thing (I can upload a scaled-down version if you want one for a page - the same thing as I did with georgestarthumb.gif). --phlip TC 04:16, 12 October 2005 (UTC)
I was wondering if you might want to redo my work on Image:110px-videlectrixman.gif, which is my attempt at resizing Image:videlectrixman.gif. Thanks. -- Tom 06:31, 20 October 2005 (UTC)
It looks fine to me... --phlip TC 08:02, 20 October 2005 (UTC)

I gots an idea!

Hey, um, it's E-102 from the fanstuff wiki, um, could you make a version of 20X6 with me and 1-Up Cheatachu instead of Stinkoman and 1-Up? We're just recolored. E-102

Read this and that --phlip TC 02:48, 30 October 2005 (UTC)

Hey man, thanks for validating all my pages. I've been meaning to get around to it for a long time, but I really didn't know where to begin. Kudos, you win a Pw4wn! Thunderbird 03:12, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for taking the time to validate my page. However, the validation interfered with part of my coding, so as of now it's been RV'd. Later I'm going to incorporate the validation into the current design. Thanks. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

Monobook Trouble

Can you go to my Monobook.js and see if there are any problems with it because it aint working --Dacheatbot · Communicate 23:57, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

Done. Just a few typos. --phlip TC 02:37, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
Ah, I found the problem - one of them was a bug in the code in Help:Quickbar, and the rest was because you used "my sig" as the id, and it can't have spaces. I'll put a note to that affect on the page. --phlip TC 02:44, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
Actually, I've rewritten that page to make it less convoluted... it was a bit confusing... --phlip TC 03:01, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

sig image

Hey, thanks for the little runnin' videlectix man.. i forgot about doing my sig for a while.. :) do i just put him in User:Collin/sig, or what? cuz i have stuff in there but it doesn't show up anywhere. --Collin 07:33, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

Block

Just so you know, another guy vandalized HRWiki:The Stick a little while ago, and there was one more Main Page 23 vandal. (I'd have put these on WikiTroll, but I don't know how to now.) Keep up the good sysop...ing! LePorello / T / C 11:54, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

On both counts, I'm waiting to see if they do something else or just stop by themselves... my peronal policy is to block on the second cast of vandalism, if it's reasonably minor, unless it's clear they're not going to stop. --phlip TC 11:56, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
OK. LePorello / T / C 11:57, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

Sound Effects

Why did you take it off? --205.251.185.181 17:45, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

I didn't. Have a closer look at my edit – I merged it with another listing that was already there for the same sound. And I took that wav you linked to, converted it to .ogg and put it here... So, your edit was useful, all I did was housekeeping. --phlip TC 17:48, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

Checking IPs

Can you go to the Fanstuff Wiki and check to see if Roxas and Dusk are the same or not?--H*bad 22:50, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

Firstly, why would you suspect that? Roxas was only just created and hasn't done anything yet. Secondly, sysops don't have access to that information. Thirdly, I'm not even a sysop on the fanstuff, just a reservist – I only act there on emergencies, not for day-to-day running. And finally, even if I doubt I'd say... the admins tend to not voice their suspicions until they're completely certain, and then confront the user in question... if they commented either way when there's not enough evidence to be sure, it would only cast suspicion amongst users, which isn't a good thing. So, in answer to your question: no, I can't. --phlip TC 23:13, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
All you had to say was no.--H*bad 23:23, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
