TBC's birth state, in chocolate form
The midwestern state of Indiana is occasionally referenced in Homestar Runner. Some of this is doubtless due to the fact that creative duo the Brothers Chaps were born in Indiana. Though their immediate family moved to Georgia in Mike and Matt's early childhood, their Hoosier origins have been mentioned in occasional interviews, such as how their Grandmother's Indiana accent influenced the development of Coach Z's distinctive manner of speaking.
[edit] Appearances

- Cheat Commandos (DVD commentary) — Mike indicates that Ripberger is named after the Ripberger family, neighbors of the Chapmans from Indiana.
- Let us give TANKS! (DVD commentary) — "Bill Ripberger" is the only member of the family whose name Mike can recall.

- @StrongBadActual tweet (8 Jan 2019) — After autocorrect misspells his typing of "Diddy Kong", Strong Bad riffs that "Diddy King" sounds like a Dairy Queen ripoff from Indiana.
