[edit] Welcome!

Hello, Wbwolf, and welcome to the Homestar Runner Wiki! It's great to see that you posted a complete commentary transcript shortly after joining. Keep up the good work! Loafing 02:54, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Congratulations

Congratulations on creating Space Program Alternate Take. You must own strongbad email.exe Disc Five. User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man 11:57, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Nice job man

I'm pretty new as well. Except when I first joined, I just got a bunch of warnings from Admins and Sysops. I didn't make any big transcripts. Congrats. Super!SantanaDuper!

[edit] Yay!

You won in Person of the Day! Numa Numa!! (T*C)

Hurray? Seriously, thanks. wbwolf (t | ed) 01:58, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hey there

Hey, Mr. Wolf. Just wanted to say good work on all your contribs to our wiki, particularly your comments in discussions, which always seem to add something helpful to the conversation. Well, keep on doing what you do. Heimstern Läufer 07:29, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Late Nite JengaJam!

Hey man, I was just wondering, since you're so far involved in transcribing the interview, would you like to break up the transcript into sections by time index and topic, just to make it easier for transcribing and reading later on? I think initially we should break it into 5- to 10-minute chunks so that way multiple people can transcribe it at once (if they jump on the opportunity before you do) and we can get this done faster. Does that sound good to you? Also, I like how you add <!--time index notes--> into the transcript. That's really helpful; we should keep those. Keep on being for good and for awesome! —BazookaJoe 02:41, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Since the interview is so long, I think having multiple people do the transcript is a good idea. I'd love to do the whole thing, but doing interviews can be tedious. I'll break it into subsections with time code notes tonight. Those time codes were just for my own reference, but if you find them useful, I'll keep them in. wbwolf (t | ed) 02:57, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
Hi! I just wanted to stop by and say what a great work you do transcribing this interview! It looks awesome :) Elcool (talk)(contribs) 17:53, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

Wow, nice job on the business trip transcription — that was fast! Trey56 17:51, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Credenza/Pseudocharacters

Just about every character on that list is on the cast list of their respective emails. :P Danny Lilithborne 01:11, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

My understanding, and one that I have tried to enforce, is pseudocharacters are not included in the cast lists. (See HRWiki:Da_Basement/Archive_2#Problems) Computers and the Papers are special cases, but they are never in the cast list. You did point out three exceptions (army and montage, as well as 3 Times Halloween Funjob), and I have fixed those to be consistent. wbwolf (t | ed) 01:48, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
Alrighty then :) I was going for consistency too. ^_^ Danny Lilithborne 01:52, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Old New QOTW

So apparently Charlie Jr. got what he wished for. Can you vouch for this? Did you actually see the Sickly Sam quote on h*r.com? That's pretty awesome. I'm wondering, did you happen to download the quote? It would be lovely to see if the two are somehow different. —BazookaJoe 18:38, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

I can vouch for Sickly Sam going up first. In fact, I copied the XML file before the change was made. That's the most concrete evidence that a) they made a quick change and b) TBC probably read the Wiki. wbwolf (t | ed) 22:26, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Subtitles Fix

Thanks for catching that filename. Just slipped by me completely.— Bassbone (TALK Strong Mad Has a Posse CONT) 04:13, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Almost a trophy full of Steak-umms

You, sir, deserve a freaking Iron Cup Full of Brunswick Stew for your two-month effort at Late Nite JengaJam Interview. Continue being for good... and for awesome! —BazookaJoe 22:16, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Jacket Picture

Until you uploaded Image:Goodgraphics.png, I had never heard of a "jacket picture". So, thanks for teaching me something! What DVD player software do you use that actually shows the jacket picture of DVDs? OptimisticFool 08:07, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

I use the Apple DVD player on my Mac. It will display when the disc is inserted but is not playing. I've also seen some standalone DVD players made in the last few years ago also have the ability to show the jacket picture, but still doesn't seem to be a real common feature just yet. wbwolf (t | ed) 16:01, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
My Mac doesn't let me take screenshots while DVD Player is on. But yours does? Homestar-Winner (talk) 16:06, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
If the DVD Player is on but not actually playing, it will allow screenshots to be taken. This is how I was able to get a picture of the jacket pictures of both Everything Else 3 and strongbad_email 5. It only seems to lock out screenshots when a DVD is actually playing (at least it does in Mac OS X 10.4.x). To get screenshots of DVDs while they are playing, your best bet is VLC. wbwolf (t | ed) 16:13, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Teal Screen

This is what it looks like in IE7. I'll try to work on something more universal, if I can figure it out. OptimisticFool 17:24, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

I see the same weird spacing issues with the final line as you do, and moving the <div> tags around doesn't seem to resolve the line spacing issues without causing the the grey in the box ending abruptly in Safari. By the way, the issue also occurs in Firefox, so this doesn't look like a browser specific issue. If you can get something that will work in all cases, go for it. wbwolf (t | ed) 17:35, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
I tried for a little bit, but then I realized... I just don't care after all. =] OptimisticFool 17:37, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Undoing

Saw your troubles reverting at Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon. You know, you can use the History tab, click the last non-vandalized edit, then edit that, give revert reason and save. You don't need to back through each one. Hope that helps! Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 23:58, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] R-Rated

I believe the error I noted in the goofs section is clearly a goof. They used the wrong color, why would you remove this? Joshr915

I moved your entry to the Explanations section. It's not really a goof (those would be reserved for broken animation, unsynched sound, etc.), but I felt it was still notable. wbwolf (t | ed) 20:35, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

Ok, I see where you are coming from. Thanks for the explanation. Joshr915

[edit] Sorry

The whole sysop thing was just me trying to think of something to say. And i didnt think the edit i reverted really improved the sitiation. It seems like it needed to be done better Physicsguymonsterman 16:04, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Talk:Gender Confusion edit summary

Firstly, I would like to thank you wholeheartedly for your support in the ongoing discussion. But the real reason I came here is that your edit summary abrev'd my UserName to FF. As this is the first time I have been referred to as anything but Flashfight, I know now that I have truly made it on the wiki. Today, I am a contributor! Flashfight 18:41, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Huh. No one ever abbreviates my name and I'm a sysop! --J (T) 18:59, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
You've got a long way to go, Jayerson. 20px-The-cheat-small.pngT5 19:10, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Wow...

I never thought I'd meet another user on the HRWiki/HRFWiki who also liked furries. Hi, I'm Cyrus, known as Lucas Aura on the Fanstuff Wiki. And you know what? Here's what one user said about me. His exact words:

"I respect him. He disproves the "furry" stereotype."

That made me feel good. :D Get offa me!‪‪‪Cyrus‪‪‪Talk 10:31, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

That was me. On the fanstuff, my account is ALXXMaXX, but I don't have an account here, so I go by Alex H. --99.130.160.6 15:45, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Good job tonight

  • Way to forsake your life for an hour and do some great jobs on the Wiki! Have the cup, mate! --TheYellowDart(t/c) 06:03, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
Thank you. Been here a year, and already have two cups of stew. I dunno what to do with it all.... wbwolf (t | ed) 06:13, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

Here, you said you were friends with one of the Wikipedia admins. Which one? Are you friends with them on Wikipedia or in real life? Rappingwonders 10:55, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Don't put needles in my face

Put the "Doin' The Wigglie" record in the DJ booth at Club Technochocolate twice. Yes, it IS from the game. --Jaybor Day (Talk) 06:55, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

[edit] DVD commentary

Seeing as how you own the Everything Else, Volume 3 DVD, can you maybe wrap up the Date Nite and Let Us Give Tanks! commentaries, please? MHarrington 07:27, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Trope link

You turned a boring general FF into a very useful FF. Kudos. -132.183.151.21 23:29, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Pipes

Re this: Pipes are ugly and unnecessary in most cases. That's what autopipe was designed for. In cases where that won't work, much of the time, linking to a redirect works. — Defender1031*Talk 00:10, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

On the other hand, I think you are taking the depiping overboard. Personally, I would rather pipe to correct article, rather than rely on an autodirect; save those for searching and very specific articles (i.e. Sketchbook) wbwolf (t | ed) 00:14, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
Dot com spent hours (days? weeks? I dunno, some amount of time) creating the autopipe so that we could avoid using pipes in articles because they're ugly and clunky. I agree with the reasoning, and practice has become to avoid piping wherever possible. — Defender1031*Talk 00:25, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
Autopipe is fine for cases where it applies. Autopipe doesn't redirect, though. I still maintain that pipes are better than redirects. -132.183.138.189 00:50, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Image

Sorry 'bout that. My work computer's cache does stupid things sometimes and I saw the wrong picture on that page, the RIGHT picture on the main page, attempted to make them match and guess I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing. >_> --Jaybor Day (Talk) 21:20, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit] SBCG4AP DVD

Hey, man. Is the DVD out yet? BBG 22:11, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

It's not clear. Last Friday, the status on my order (which I put in the first day it was available), changed from "Backordered" to "Sent to the warehouse." However, it hasn't changed since, so no idea what the delay is. wbwolf (t | ed) 22:25, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
