The word mess is frequently used to describe things that you wouldn't quite expect.

• Needlepernt — The page title is "Bless This Mess!", a reference to The Simpsons.
• Email the show — Marshie tells the viewer, "You'd best be eating a whole mess of Fluffy Puff Marshmallows!"
• Email stupid stuff — After The Cheat attempts to serve Strong Bad some The Cheatcakes, Strong Bad tells him "Get that mess outta here!"
• Peasant's Quest Preview — In the Easter egg, Videlectrix 1 complains "I come to work and I have to look at this mess!"
• Peasant's Quest — If you attempt to give the Baby Lady an item, she'll reply "We don't need that mess."
• Labor Dabor — While Frank Bennedetto is popping popcorn, Homestar Runner tells him to "keep that mess down".
• Halloween Fairstival — Strong Bad sees Marzipan singing with "a chorus of autumnal vegetables" and asks "What is this mess?"
