Transcript
{Open in on Homestar talking to Pom Pom in the field}
HOMESTAR: ...So I was watching TV, right? And they were telling this hilarious TV joke, okay? And it was like, um, well, I can't really remember, but it was a TV joke, and you know what those are like.
POM POM: {bubbles angrily}
HOMESTAR: {startled} Oh, right! I was telling you about TV, so anyway, right at the end of the TV joke, this show comes on, and it's like {forgets}; "Blue... Midget..." Or something like that, and, uh, you should have watched it man. Should. Have. Watched. It. It was like...
{Fade into Homestar's new view of things; the last few notes of the "Red Dwarf" theme play - the screen shows a logo similar to Red Dwarf's that reads "Run Dwarf". As this is happening the usual credits show. Homestar is seen in a spaceship corridor}
HOMESTAR: Oh, man, we're out of Cold One Milkshakes...
{Coach Z walks in; has an "H" on his cap}
COACH Z: Homestar, what're you doing down there?
{Homestar looks confused}
HOMESTAR: Who are you calling Homestar? I'm First Lieuteneral Maybe Mister! And, uh, I'm tryin' to get a sandwich or something... {cut off}
COACH Z: {Not phased} Uh, Homestar? Are you OK?
{Pom Pom drops down from the roof; has hair}
POM POM: {bubbles}
HOMESTAR: {angrily} Yeah, that's right, goal-post head! You better believe this guy. He's fierceome!
POM POM: {cocks head to side in confusion}
{escape Homestar's view and see where homestar is in real life - crouching in a cardboard box dangling precariously off on a cliff on a piece of string, labelled "Star-ant". Coach Z and Pom Pom are standing on the cliff top. Homestar rocks the cardboard box to and fro}
HOMESTAR: Yeah! Alright! We're reaching light-speed now! Next stop - the Moooooooooooooooon!!
STRONG BAD: {offscreen} Hey! That's my line!
{cut back to Homestar's view of things; is walking on the moon}
HOMESTAR: A-One, Two, One, Two, and a reeka-deeka — {cuts off} Hey! Guys? Where are you all? {set begins to shake} Why is this moon shaking?..
{cut back to real life; the string supporting Homestar's box snaps}
HOMESTAR: Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!
{'The End' shows up on a black background with stars}
Easter Eggs
- Click on The star closest to the top right corner when the toon is finished to see this conversation between Homestar and Marzipan.
HOMESTAR: Hey, Marzipan! What are you doing in this flashback?
MARZIPAN: I cam along to make sure someone had taken his medication this morning.
HOMESTAR: Oh, right. I remember not taking that.
Fun Facts
Explanations
- This toon is a direct parody of the British sci-fi sitcom, Red Dwarf.
- The easter egg relates to symptoms as a result of not taking your medication, in cases such as ADD or ADHD.
Trivia
- When Homestar is dangling from the rope, this rope is exactly the same as the King Of Town's in cliffhangers.
Remarks
- This is the first big toon to be released without a mention on any main pages or the TV Time Toons Menu. it is only accessible by clicking the "Joy of Painting" video tape on the toons menu.
- The Blue Midget and Starbug are two other vessels used in Red Dwarf.
Goofs
- When Homestar is dangling from the rope the first time, every time he swings to the left, a small portion of the King of Town's beard is visibe. This is likely due to the Brothers Chaps using the same animation, and simply editing over the top.
Inside References
- A TV joke was first mentioned in Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 4.0.
- Homestar saying Pom Pom "Should. Have. Watched. It" is a reference to the Strong Bad Email dullard.
- Homestar mentions Cold Ones.
- The title "First Lieuteneral" was first used in Career Day.
- " I'm trying to get me a sandwich or something" was first seen in Halloween Potion-Ma-Jig
- The cliff was first seen in the Strong Bad Email cliffhangers.
- "The Mooooooooooooooon" is indeed Strong Bad's line, as evidenced in The Strong Bad Is In Jail Cartoon and the email personal favourites.
- When Homestar is walking on the moon, he is singing lines from the short, One Two, One Two, and cuts off at Bubs' line.
- In the easter egg, Homestar has not taken his Medication.
Real World References
- This toon is a blatant spoof of the TV series Red Dwarf, which recently celebrated it's 21st birthday and created the first new episodes in over 10 years, the Back To Earth Miniseries, shown during Easter 2009.

- It's not off. If we are going by UTC Time, it's correct. Homestar-Winner (talk) 01:36, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, you're right, I just realized that. Here are some other tests:

But this one currently won't work:
- Hey, in a few months, I'll be ten thousand days old! Cool! --Jay (Gobble) 01:42, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I left it open for Dot com to come up with a solution... but, instead, he just removed all hints of it. Whatever. At least it works for anything from the last few decades. --Jay (Gobble) 01:48, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
- All hints of what? Sure we could mess with all the leap years and make it work for any year, but what would be the use? There's no practical use on this wiki for dates prior to 1970 (or, really, around the turn of this century), so anything more is just academic. — It's dot com 01:52, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
- Not sure that's true, we may need to deal with old-timey dates or whatnot... — Defender1031*Talk 01:54, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
- No, he's got a point. I was just making it with yearssince as a template without considering how useful the feature would be. --Jay (Gobble) 01:56, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
- And if we want to talk about Old-Timey stuff, like how That a Ghost was allegedly released 88 years ago, yearssince works. Why would we enumerate the days? --Jay (Gobble) 01:57, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
- And I completely missed your edit summary since I got Edit Conflict'd. ;) --Jay (Gobble) 01:58, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

It's the infamous Y2.038k bug!
So I just found out about these ParserFunctions a minute ago. Let's see...
89 is a random number between 1 and 100. 463 + 356 is 819. 52256.8 The sandbox exists.
That's cool. Thy Not Dennis (t/c) 10:24, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
Now let me see if I know how to work the {{yearssince}} thing... I swear I didn't look at that page's wikitext.
{{#expr: {{CURRENTISOYEAR}} - {{{1}}}}}
That's it, generally. Right? Thy Not Dennis (t/c) 18:12, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

I hope I do well on the test
