[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 21 (May 22-28)

How about Crapfully Yours? Seems like a sure bet to me. — Seriously (Talk) 03:50, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

I want something other than a character or a gag. I watched Cool Things today... I forgot how awexome that toon really is. We should make a synopsis of it and make it the FA (and super-duper fix-up the article to make it an excellent representative article). —BazookaJoe 03:58, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
I concur its awexomeness, but should it really be a FA so soon? LePorello / T / C 04:06, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
Sure, everybody's forgotten about it by now. —BazookaJoe 04:24, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
You've got a great point. I love Cool Things too. 61.3-38.7 in favor. Full decision later. LePorello / T / C 04:27, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
Either Cool Things or Bug In Mouth Disease. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 04:44, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
I'm thinking maybe a computer such as The Compy or The Lappy. Neither have been a featured article. --Dacheatbot · Communicate 03:29, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
I suggest we feature the Compy the previous week and one of the two suggested toons this week. LePorello / T / C 12:41, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
I say we do a sbemail. We haven't done one in a really long time. · · T2|Things 00:11, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
We've never done a SBEmail as a feature. I do like Cool Things. LePorello / T / C 22:32, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
Although both toons are pretty kick-awesome, I happen to like Bug In Mouth Disease a tiny bit more than Cool Things. Just a personal decision. Has Matt? (talk) 22:37, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
If we are definitely going for one of the toons, then I have to say Cool Things. Otherwise, we should do the Compy. · · T2|Things 22:53, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
That's two for Cool Things, and two for Bug In Mouth Disease. We're getting behind again, so we need to pick one soon. ACupOfCoffee (Talk | contribs) 15:26, 9 May 2006 (UTC) (left unsigned)

I'm in favor of one of the big toons, but perhaps a slightly older one rather than a recent toon? Perhaps The Reddest Radish, or one of the other underdogs? Thunderbird 20:33, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

If not a new one, then A Jorb Well Done would be my vote. LePorello / T / C 21:03, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon. The longest and best full toon featuring the whole main characters.

It's looking like Cool Things has the most support. Bug in Mouth is also a fan favorite, but—hopefully not sounding biased here—more people seem okay with Cool Things. —BazookaJoe 20:04, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

Cool Things gets my vote --Dacheatbot · Communicate 20:10, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 22 (May 29-Jun 4)

We haven't featured any places in a while, so how about The King of Town's Castle or The Office? — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 06:12, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

I agree on the Places Idea but a more popular place would be nice (we should really hurry up production on this one) --Dacheatbot · Communicate 22:39, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

Ooh! It should definitely be The Office. Great location, great article, and great show. —BazookaJoe 02:13, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Either of them will be a fine FA. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 05:45, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

How about Peasantry? Good article, nice location, and everyone loves Trogdor! If not then The Office. DumbMuscle 11:29, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Maybe Peasantry the week after. We've already got two fine candidates here. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 12:58, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
I thought you were talking about a different office. Sure! --Dacheatbot · Communicate 14:15, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 23 (Jun 5-11)

It occurs to me that we could perhaps have a themed feature around this week, something to do with the end of school. senior prom is an obvious choice, it's a bit early to feature that, and especially as our first Sbemail. I'd be happy with either another promish idea, or perhaps an article regarding Summer. Thunderbird 01:18, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

Right. Certainly not senior prom, but I like the direction you're heading. —BazookaJoe 01:19, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
And the Yearbook was not long ago. I'll think what else could be put here. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 06:47, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
Maybe The Luau? That has sort of a summer-y feel... --DorianGray
End of school? I've been out for two weeks, and my siblings have their last day tomorrow (speaking from a frame of reference that it's still Wednesday, even though it's after midnight). But, on to buisness: Maybe Teen Girl Squad Issue 3 or suntan. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 06:36, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
I'm still going to be in school when this comes out :) --Dacheatbot · Communicate 18:20, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
I'm thinking suntan would be a nice summer-style article that I wouldn't mind making a write-up for. The only concern is that we featured another toon only two weeks ago, but whatcha gonna do? —BazookaJoe 18:28, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
I don't think suntan is a good first email article. I was thinking more to the lines of some kinda robot, 50 emails, flashback, alternate universe, etc. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 18:35, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
The whole summer idea was just a tentative idea, but it seems that no perfect article really sprang to mind. We could go with some kinda robot, to kick off the Sbemail genre. Thunderbird 18:43, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
Personally, I don't think some kinda robot is interesting enough for a featured article (although I do appreciate the symmetry of it being the first featured sbemail as well as the first actual sbemail), I'd suggest a milestone email such as the ones suggested, or rock opera -- DumbMuscle 19:22, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
After reviewing the emails, I think the first one should be flashback: Long, good commentary, have a DVD related subpage, reference to old material, very good and informative fun facts and a milestone. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 18:28, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
Well, I am going to be busy most all of tomorrow, so someone is going to have to step up and write it in the next... 22 hours. I don't know if Thunderbird will be able to, either. —BazookaJoe 01:06, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
I could take a crack at it, if you like... Just tell me when to make it live. --DorianGray
It's not exclusive (this isn't admins only; whoever wants to help out each week, please do). Just make a nice write-up of something, then make the article as perfect as you can. Hit the cache purge button on Talk:Main Page at 00:00 UTC Monday (Sunday, 8 PM EDT, 5 PM PDT; that's in 21.5 hours). —BazookaJoe 02:29, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
I wrote up one on flashback, a la E.L. Cool's suggestion. How's it look? --DorianGray

[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 24 (Jun 12-18)

We could have the June character around here, which do you think is next in line? I would guess Strong Sad. Thunderbird 01:12, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

Weren't we originally going in order of introduction? Didn't Bubs and Coach Z debut before Strong Sad? --DorianGray
It was semi-discussed here, with the general feeling being that we've already gone against who debuted first, by having Strong Bad second. It's more in order of general popularity and how often they're used. In my opinion, that puts Homestar and Strong Bad decidedly first and second, and The King of Town, The Poopsmith, and Homsar 10th, 11th, and 12th, respectively. Besides that, the middle four of Strong Mad, Strong Sad, Bubs, and Coach Z are kind of up in the air so to speak, since they're all kind of middle characters. Thunderbird 04:10, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 25 (Jun 19-25)

I think a running gag would fit in this week or the following quite nicely. Possibly, DELETED or How Do You Type With Boxing Gloves On? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 01:24, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

I like How Do You Type With Boxing Gloves On?. It get's my vote. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 13:18, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
It gets mine as well. --Dacheatbot · Communicate 15:18, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
I prefer DELETED personally, I think the boxing gloves article strays from the point a bit (referring to other things SB does which would be hard in gloves) DumbMuscle 18:15, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
A bit thin though, don't you think? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 22:24, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
I like How Do You Type With Boxing Gloves On?, too. —FireBird|Talk 03:31, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Is everybody happy with How Do You Type With Boxing Gloves On? --Sam Goldfish 21:15, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Think so --Dacheatbot · Communicate 21:19, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Then I'll go ahead and base it. --Sam Goldfish 21:29, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 26 (Jun 26-Jul 2)

How about something that isn't a nown. Howabout Characters' Contacts? --TheThin 11:42, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

I don't think that has enough information to be a featured article. —FireBird|Talk 03:25, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
And it is a noun. In fact, it's two of them. Thunderbird 18:20, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
That's being just a bit pedantic, we know roughly what he meant (a non-main feature/toon/character/place/joke article), although I do agree that Characters' Contacts is a bit short, how about Integral Article? -- DumbMuscle 21:04, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
I'm happy with Integral article. Thunderbird 22:26, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
All it needs now is a good image. --Sam Goldfish 16:59, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
I added one. It's a difficult thing to show, so I went with Teen Girl Squad, as their speech is also text. --DorianGray
All right, I created it. How's that? — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 18:08, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 27 (Jul 3-Jul 9)

My vote's on Podstar Runner. --Sam Goldfish 19:00, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Became an integral part of the site, regularly updated. It get's my vote. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 19:02, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
Looks like a good article to me. —FireBird|Talk 03:28, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 28 (Jul 10-16)

We could have a character around here too, possibly Strong Mad to finish off the Strongs? Thunderbird 01:14, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

OK. --Sam Goldfish 20:47, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Ooh, ooh! Happy Fireworks! This would be appropriate as it'll be the Fourth of July. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 04:07, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Sure, I'm in favor of a fourth of July type feature, if we move Graw Mad to week 30. Thunderbird 23:33, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

It's already July 4th and I still don't see this article on the main page. --Dacheatbot · Communicate 05:05, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

That's because I messed up. All better! —BazookaJoe 01:08, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
Then I guess Happy Fireworks! won't quite work. I guess No-Neck it is. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 03:58, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
I'll go ahead and base it. --Sam Goldfish 22:04, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 29 (Jul 17-23)

I would like to see another Article of the Day thing. --Sam Goldfish 19:00, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

I would like to see anything suggested first. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 04:25, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
If we're doing an Article of the Day thing, I suggest:
In that order. If we're just doing an Article of the Week, I suggest Senor Cardgage. A big page with lots of info about an interesting character. --Sam Goldfish 20:59, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
I like the daily idea, and that list seems good, it gets my vote! DumbMuscle 22:04, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
I think that's an okay idea. I've set up the base setup for the switchover, leaving seven red links up there for the articles. Thunderbird 23:30, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

In case you are wondering, day 7 redirects to day 0 on purpose. Day 0 is Sunday; I found that out on the day we thought was 2005, week 42, day 7, when I had to quickly redirect it to day 0 to fix the broken template on the Main Page. I hope MW is going to do what I expect it to do this time around. —BazookaJoe 01:13, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

I see. Then we may as well just skip the middle man and setup a day 0 article instead of a redirect. Thunderbird 13:09, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
Yes. The redirect is still helpful to have as well, in case anyone is trying to find a day 7. —BazookaJoe 00:55, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

It's Saturday. Anyone is going to do those pages? Elcool (talk)(contribs) 09:40, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

Mmm, sure. I think I'll do some or all in >12 hours. —BazookaJoe 11:52, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

I'll help too. --Sam Goldfish 10:42, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 30 (Jul 24-30)

This one as to be a Holiday Toons or something. It would fit here. --TheThin 11:44, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

It's already been featured. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 12:54, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
The Brothers Chaps? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 18:15, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Also already featured. Heimstern Läufer 18:17, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Here's a great page that hasn't been featured: The Brothers Chaps' Fansite Acknowledgments. --Sam Goldfish 21:06, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Crap? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 20:31, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
Crap is a good page. but is it complete? Elcool (talk)(contribs) 20:59, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
I sure think so. --Dacheatbot · Communicate 04:00, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
You think it's crap, or you think it's complete?? Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 04:11, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
Complete --Dacheatbot · Communicate 05:01, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
Actually, provided we do a Fourth of July themed feature, what about moving Strong Mad to this week? Thunderbird 23:27, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Strong Mad is at week 28. Let's do Crap. --Sam Goldfish 14:37, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
