[edit] What's liquid smoke?

I assumed it was something the Simpsons made up. Probably worthy of the explanations heading. Guybrush20X6 00:42, 24 December 2017 (UTC)

Liquid smoke is an actual food additive that adds a smoky flavor to the food. The Knights Who Say Ni 01:12, 24 December 2017 (UTC)

[edit] Six-Syllable Catch Phrase

So, uh... Which catchphrase is he talkin' about? 104.11.61.176 05:20, 24 December 2017 (UTC)

"Six. Syl-lab-le. Catch. Phrase." — Defender1031*Talk 05:34, 24 December 2017 (UTC)

[edit] YouTube Version

During the period where toons were released simultaneously in Flash and on YouTube, we noted their differences under a unique "YouTube Version" heading. Now that there is no Flash version to which we can compare, how should we treat content previously covered there? I see the "Easter egg" after the fake autoplay thumbnail has been merged with the description, which is probably the solution with the most precedence (see: extra plug, bottom 10), but what should be done with metadata like its YouTube title and description? Should these continue to appear in their own section, be reproduced in full elsewhere (as with Limozeen Live!), be mentioned only in regards to other Fun Facts (as with Coach Z pukes in dude's toupee), or be omitted entirely? Please forgive me if this has already been settled, H*R has changed a lot since I last edited regularly, but I could not find a precedent for this scenario.--Jellote (talk, edits) 03:03, 28 December 2017 (UTC)

Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 17.2 was done the same way. Perhaps some of the answers you seek can be found there. — Defender1031*Talk 05:23, 28 December 2017 (UTC)

[edit] Santam'n is a blade man

I think the extended version of the song should have a page to itself. With a lyric transcript, for example. -174.62.238.201 06:05, 21 January 2019 (UTC)

It's actually been proposed in the Sandbox already. I'm neutral about it, although slightly leaning toward page-have. Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 03:41, 22 January 2019 (UTC)
There are additional singers to Homestar on the “Santam’n is a blade man.” line. Can people tell who they are? -174.62.238.201 06:37, 22 January 2019 (UTC)
I don't think it's supposed to be anyone in particular, just generic background singers. Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 00:05, 23 January 2019 (UTC)

[edit] The Property of Hot Ones

Forgive me for being ignorant in the ways of Hard Ones. But the property of ones says that a One that is not Cold is scarcely a One at all, yet in order to make the Santam'n's chimney, Hard Ones need to be added to Hot Jones, which is served hot. Is the drink still a One if served hot? -- 68.37.43.131 04:10, 6 January 2020 (UTC)

Great for the forum. RickTommy (edits) 07:29, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
Also, for the record, it’s not a one anymore, no. It’s a Santam’n’s chimney now. Like a cocktail (or an Irish coffee). Which is to say, there’s no inconsistency, so nothing worth noting, as far as the page is concerned. 166.137.12.87 18:16, 6 January 2020 (UTC)

[edit] Page name

Should we rename this page to "Dangeresque Puppet Squad: The Hot Jones Hijack." It's the proper name of the toon, it's what it's called on both the website, and YouTube. - HoveringSombrero (talk)

Perhaps. Although it's worth noting that while it's called "Dangeresque Puppet Squad: The Hot Jones Hijack" on the Holiday menu, it's still called "Decemberween Dangeresque" on the Puppet Stuff menu. It's also formatted slightly differently on YouTube, as "Dangeresque: Puppet Squad - The Hot Jones Hi-Jack", which is reflected by the title card. Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 00:27, 22 November 2022 (UTC)
Hmm...Well, I feel like some variation of Dangeresque: Puppet Squad - The Hot Jones Hijack is more accurate, as it's what is said in both the toon, the YouTube title, and the Puppet Stuff menu. It's only called Decemberween Dangeresque on one menu... - HoveringSombrero (talk)
Yep. Leaning toward "Dangeresque: Puppet Squad - The Hot Jones Hi-Jack" myself, as that formatting is used the most and is consistent with the previous Dangeresque: Puppet Squad. Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 23:11, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
And with the advent of another Puppet Squad soon ahead, I also agree. Change the name to "Dangeresque: Puppet Squad - The Hot Jones Hi-Jack". ----J∃ffJMan 13:58, 29 November 2022 (UTC)
Whenever there is a discrepancy in title names, whatever is on the toons (or sbemail) menu should prevail, exactly as it is shown. That would be Dangeresque Puppet Squad: The Hot Jones Hijack. — It's dot com 21:38, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
I don’t see much of a point to moving it, since it's still called Decemberween Dangeresque on the puppet stuff menu. Moving toon pages seems like more trouble than it’s worth if there’s no real reason to do so. Also if we do wanna do it I say we wait and see what the next dangeresque puppet squad toon is called. TheOneAndOnlyDanky 23:13, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
What’s the trouble? -113.37.226.89 23:57, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
It's not actually that much trouble. There are a lot of links that have to be updated, but I've recently done thousands of those. If we do decide to move the page, and once we're sure what the name should be, someone just needs to leave a note at the bottom of User talk:The Cheatbot and I'll fix up the links. — It's dot com 01:52, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
If that's the case then I guess moving it would be fine, but it definitely should be Dangeresque Puppet Squad: The Hot Jones Hijack like on the toon menu and not Dangeresque: Puppet Squad - The Hot Jones Hi-Jack.

This page has been moved to "Dangeresque: Puppet Squad - The Hot Jones Hijack" a couple of times now, but after reviewing this discussion, I do not see consensus to move it to that exact title. I see a mild consensus to move it to "Dangeresque Puppet Squad: The Hot Jones Hijack", if indeed it must be moved at all. — It's dot com 01:58, 16 December 2022 (UTC)

Well, if we look at this in a 2 to 1 basis, then more official Homestar things call it “The Hot Jones Hijack”. Only one thing calls it Decemberween Dangeresque. I think that’s a fair thing to go off of, then picking one menu listing and having a fight over what to call it. TMBGLOVER 15:13, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
We're not having a fight; we're having a discussion. The point of my comment was not that the page shouldn't be moved to something with "Hot Jones Hijack" in it—as I said, there is a mild consensus that it should. The point was that there is not a consensus to move it to the exact title it's been moved to twice now. I'll reiterate: the name on the Toons menu is the name of a toon. This toon happens to have two names on the Toons menu. Right now, this page is located at one of them. If it is moved, it should be moved only to the other one, exactly as it appears on the menu. — It's dot com 16:10, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
Thinking about it some move, given that there is a mild consensus that "Hot Jones Hijack" should be in the name, I've gone ahead and moved it to the other Toons menu name. — It's dot com 17:41, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
