[edit] Rejects link

Ooh. This has a "rejects" link. What to do? ~ AgentSeethroo

Just remove the "Rejects/". Everything gets its own page. Check out the other mods I made, you'll see. We also need to figure out the format of the page title and stuff. And I thin that summary might be too long... -- Tom 13:18, 5 Aug 2004 (MST)

[edit] I moved it

Please forgive me if the deed was rash, but I moved the page to capitolize "The Cheat" in the title. TBC is ambigous on this, they say "Where's the Cheat" in the toon itelf, but "Where's The Cheat" on the toons menu. What tipped my scale was the pervasive capitolizing and name-izing of "The" in "The Cheat" everywhere else, as though "The" is not used as an indefinate article at all.

MetaStar 22:30, 23 Sep 2004 (MST)

What does it mean by the "old pop-up menu"? 209.221.24.138 18:32, 21 Dec 2004 (MST)

It refers to the menu that pops up when you move your cursor toward the bottom of the toon. It has basically the same buttons as the main pages, with a few extra. --Lyzz~ 18:39, 21 Dec 2004 (MST)

[edit] Fat Cheat (declined)

according to the Cheats hieght and weight his Body Mass Index is 64.6 normal weight is between 18.5 and 24.9 and obesity starts at 30 homestarkid09

  • Decline. You used bad grammar and bad spelling. The Cheat is not a human, so BMI doesn't apply to him. Would you use BMI to see if a dog is overweight? «Rob»

[edit] Where's The Cheat? (declined)

In the beginning of the toon when Homestar is spreading the marshmallow spread on the veggie burger, the spread changes everytime he spreads it. Thought it was an interesting detail.

Note: this submission created the section on STUFF, but named it incorrectly as "Where The Cheat Is At?". This is referenced at least once in the votes below.

  • Decline and also, who cares?! And sometimes Homestar's shirt is a lighter shade of blah blah blah. Fun facts are meant to be FUN, okay? You didn't even get the name of the cartoon right! Donny vs Universe
  • Decline - yeah, it's a nice detail, but not really all that worth mentioning; too minor. (And Donny, nothing personal, but that was pretty harsh, man. Might want to tone down before we hurt someone's feelings...) --Shadow Hog 23:02, 21 Feb 2005 (MST)

    • I'll tone you down my lord! Donny vs Universe
      • CommentJust to give you a head's up, Donny, those were the rudest words I have ever heard. Realize that this is a cartoon, PLEASE . If you ever spoke like that in the real world, you would get your butt kicked.
      • Comment Uh-huhhhh...1) Sign your post. 2) Scroll up. People are saying far ruder things than I did, including the person who told me to "tone it down". 3) I was blunt not rude, boo hoo. Donny vs Universe
        • To be frank, what I said didn't really seem rude to me. I'm not particularly sure how you can say that my politely asking you to tone down is far ruder than coming up to somebody's face and practically calling them an idiot. (Unless you mean something completely unrelated?...) Also, being harsh to somebody's face like that IS generally a rude thing. --Shadow Hog 09:41, 7 Mar 2005 (MST)
        • To be frank, I think that saying "Well this is a stupid fun fact" and then proceeding to rip apart the contributor with a SB quote is pretty rude. Donny vs Universe
  • EXTREME DECLINE!!! This is a pathetic fun fact. That's all there is to it.--24.159.113.2 13:54, 23 Mar 2005 (MST)
  • Accept. I have no problem with this one. Remove the last sentence, and you're good to go. --Trogga 13:48, 25 Mar 2005 (MST)

[edit] You killed Pom-Pom! (DECLINED)

When storng bad said he killed pom-pom it may be a reference to south park and them "killing Kenny"

  • Decline Uh...no. "Storng" Bad was just trying to scare Marzipan with a crank call. --acekirby13 19:36, 13 Apr 2005 (UTC)

  • OMG WHAT WERE YOU THINKING This is the worst fact i have ever heard. You thing every time somebody says they killed somebody it means it was referencing to Kenny? Declined as delined can be.
  • Decline. Yeah, or it could be reference to any other cartoon that once used the word "kill"! I bet you just wanted South Park to be mentioned on this site. Kvb 14:40, 23 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Limoman?

Um....is there a reason why Strong Bad is called Limoman at one point in the transcript? -Miss Free Country USA

Yes, someone defaced the article. This has since been reverted. -- Tom 15:20, 16 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Awesome House

What do you think it's like inside The Cheat's house?

Well Anony, I think that it would be like the inside of most grills... cold and dark, with the constant smell of charcoal and the constant feel of greecy/metally bars!--Homsar Lover

Uh... Strong Sad once said it was really nice. Maybe the inside tranforms when the lid is shut. Which would explain why The Cheat gets mad at SM in One, Two, One, Two DrPepper42 18:27, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] What do you think

maybe some burt spots, oil, oh in one of strong bad's e-mails strong sad mention that the cheat had cloths and maybe a tv just in case got bored you know i bet wen you get inside the place will be huge

Come again? --Jnelson09 19:41, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] EYE eye, sir

People keep reverting it when people add that SB's eyes have the wrong sizes - including me - but I just checked. It's true. I'd formerly assumed it was just because SB was seen at an angle, but that's not the case. --Jay (Talk) 19:33, 11 Jul 2005 (UTC)

I checked it too, and it was true. Rogue Leader / (my talk)

[edit] Merge these two trivia items?

Seems like these two Trivia items are saying the same thing:

"This is the only regular toon that features all twelve of the main characters", and

"This is the only toon (besides Halloween toons) that shows every single main character."

[edit] Bub's concession stand?

Is this the only toon that shows Bubs' stand: Concession's by Bubs? Guest chaosmage747

See this for an answer. — talk Bubsty edits 05:21, 9 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Real world reference?

Homsar calling Bubs "Tubbs" seems to be a reference to the british series "The League of Gentlemen". Include?

I think it's more likely a reference to the Miami Vice character Ricardo Tubbs. --Trogga 02:16, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
And it's TTATOT, so no mention (except here). Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 02:40, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Name change

Hey, well this is pretty ridiculous and nit-picky, but I don't think there's a contraction in the original title of this cartoon. Perhaps the name could be changed to "Where is the Cheat?"

Just goes to show, I don't have any friends. Trevor.

Hey Trevor, you're right that the page title for this toon is "Where is The Cheat"; however, the opening credits and the toons page menu say "Where's The Cheat?" That's why we consider that its correct name. Hope that helps! Heimstern Läufer 06:49, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Strong Bad's Eyes = Glitch?

This is what I'm talking about

In the scene with Pom Pom and Strong Mad at the stick, one of Strong Bad's eyes is bigger than the other. Anyone else think this is a goof/glitch? --Mario2.PNG Super Martyo boing! 19:37, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

It's already noted in Goofs. Good eye, though (pun probably not intended). Has Matt? (talk) 19:56, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
I expanded on the note on the goof. My edits are in bold
  • During certain parts of the cartoon, one of Strong Bad's eyes is significantly larger than the other. This is likely an artifact from the shots where Strong Bad's head is tilted away from the camera, making one eye (correctly) appear larger than the other.
Feel free to edit to clarify my wording -Telamon 21:37, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
That's always been my impression as well. OptimisticFool 22:03, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Trivia Time

Should Trivia Time be classified as a character? Example:

Let me know what you think. --ONESTOP 22:13, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

I don't think so. It's a cookie jar. It's a background item. It's never even interacted with. It shouldn't be included as a character. It's less a character even than, say, The Stick. --DorianGray 22:19, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] stuff?

I've always heard "Hey, stupid! I brought you this duck"... — Defender1031*Talk 23:27, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Anyone gonna comment? — Defender1031*Talk 14:51, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Okay, so now i see that it's written up on the site itself in the quotes pack, proving that it is, in fact, "stuff"... sorry to bother everyone, go back to your lives now... — Defender1031*Talk 15:02, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Jengajam

Homsar tells Bubs that he "lost his Jengajam". Weren't TBC on a show called the Jenga Jam? Is this a Real-World Reference?

Nope. If anything, the show took its name from this toon. So it's a sighting. --DorianGray 07:20, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Napolean Dynamite

Does anyone else think that the beginning credits are a reference to Napolean Dynamite? The opening credits for that movie are done in food much like the beginning of this toon. DrPepper42 02:00, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

No. I've never seen Napoleon Dynamite, but I'm pretty sure about this, because the toon came out in 2002 and the film in 2004. The only way it could work would be if Napoleon Dynamite was making a reference to H*R, which is extremely unlikely. -- Mithent 02:04, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
Oh. Alright. Didn't check the date on the movie. But they are very similar. DrPepper42 15:19, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Shanked or sanked?

Um, when i watch this, I hear Homsar say "You sanked my Jengaship", not "You shanked my Jengaship." Anyone else agree? DrPepper42 17:25, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Nope, it's definitely "shanked". — Defender1031*Talk 17:26, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
You sure about that? Let's see what some other people think. And remember, Homsar is hard for everyone I know (offline) to understand. DrPepper42 23:16, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
The Downloads Easter Egg confirms it. 100% shanked Flashfight 23:20, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Oh. well, sanked would have made more sense, now wouldn't it?DrPepper42 15:54, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
Um, not with Homsar!Strongkinghomsarsmith

[edit] Spoilers

Is it necessary for us to change the picture to one that doesn't tell us where The Cheat is? The best alternative I can think of is the "Have You Seen The Cheat?" poster. If no one responds after a couple of days I won't change anything that early. BBG 23:17, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

Agree. That's a good idea, nobody wants a colorful spoiler right at the top of the page. LobStoR 23:20, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Hey Stupid!

When Homestar says his "Hey Stupid" line, dosen't he sound like he is saying 'dumb' instead of 'stuff'? -Espe Pwnage 02:33, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

i think i can understand where you might be coming from with the d instead of st, like if the s in this and the s in stuff weren't separated at all, and the t was exaggerated, but i definitely hear an f at the end. in short, i hear STUFF. The Knights Who Say Ni 02:40, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
