Please don't randomly change perfect fine image captions without a good enough reason. Thanks. - Joshua 03:51, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
- Actually, I thought most of his edits were improvements. We haven't set a standard for captions, but the trend seems to be to prefer actual quotes. Although, yes, the "If it ain't broke don't fix it" rule applies (it's unlikely, Matt, that all the captions on the wiki need overhauling in one fell swoop), I think "I said science again!" is better than "The Grumblecakes are on the line here!" —AbdiViklas 04:19, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
- I like quotes, too, and I agreed with a lot of your edits, Matt. Be careful to keep it in context, though. For example, on Moses Malone's page, you can't see The Cheat or the controller, so "I got first game" really doesn't make that much sense. — It's dot com 04:36, 22 November 2005 (UTC)

- If you weren't aware of Five Iron Frenzy in the late 90s you wouldn't get it. There was a hidden track on Quantity is Job 1 that featured the concern that "these are not my pants"; in the song "And That's How the Story Ends" on their melodramatically final album The End is Near as they manically sum up their entire career, the undead Brad reveals that "By the way, those pants, they belong to my dad. And they're not really pants, they're leiderhosen." —AbdiViklas 20:39, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
- Oh, OK. And by the way, it was really a reference to In Search of the Yello Dello where Strong Sad said, "It was my lederhosen." Has Matt? 21:54, 27 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] About Some Pie
Hi Has Matt?, I just wanted to talk to you about the Pie references you have been posting. The idea you have to link the pages back to pie is a good one, but the "facts" that you are leaving are too vague and general. Instead if those links are to be included, they should only need to be linked from the transcript or where the pie is being mentioned (but not in the text that characters say but rather the comments) or not link to them at all. Thanks! I know you've been working hard at this. --Stux 01:44, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

Thanks! I actually figured it out by looking at other people's userpages, but I'm kinda too lazy to do one right now. Maybe. Has Matt? 00:57, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Let's sing a song of Penzoil!
So Has Matt?, thanks for signing my guest book! You pushed me into double digits on that thing, so you rock! Also, I agree Crichton rocks, but I really feel bad for the amount of crappy movies that have been made based off his novels (ie. Sphere, Timeline, Jurassic Park 3, Congo.) and I hope they will get back up to the level of the original Jurassic Park eventually. So thanks again for being guestbooker numba 10. Catch you later. ---Jeff J. W.(Talk·Contribs) 19:23, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah, I have to admit that some of those movies were... well, let's just say, "below my expectations". Oh, and you're weclome! I enjoy signing guestbooks. It's my favorite hobby (other than, well, you know, something).
[edit] Edit summaries
Do you know how many Internet etiquette laws you're breaking by typing in all caps like that? Well, you're breaking one: Don't type in all caps. :) — It's dot com 02:53, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
- I know, I also make too many spelling errors when typing edit summaries. I just type it as fast as possible without even looking at what I'm typing. As a result, it looks like something Strong Mad would type. I'll try to cut down on the, um, ettiquette... breaking... ages. Stlong Mad. Er, — Has Matt? (talk) 02:58, 22 December 2005 (UTC)

Welcome to the Homestar Runner Wiki! Wait, I mean, thanks for welcoming people to the Homestar Runner Wiki! Just wondering, why did you give me the welcome message? I've been here for a while. Like, months. Exhibit A 05:50, 25 December 2005 (UTC)

I thought Strong Mad said Preeeeow or some perversion of it in extra plug when he lowers The Cheat and The Paper at the end. I tried to check it, but my computer won't load homestarrunner.com at the moment. Check it out for me, ok?

hey matt... you welcomed me, so i assume you know wut yer doing. i have had the username thyvillageidiot, for a long time, and now it wont let me log in. then i created it again, but it capitalized the "T". its messed up. please let me log in on thyvillageidiot and not Thyvillageidiot. thanks Thyvillageidiot 17:53, 30 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Problem with your sig...
Heya. I noticed a problem with the signatures on Template:STUFF/caffeine - your sig appears before another user's, and as a result, it resets the numbering in the list. I did a little debugging on it to verify that it has something to do with your signature.
Example (now fixed):
Thought you'd like to know. :) — KieferSkunk (talk) — 00:09, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
- Huh, that's weird. I remember changing my sig today. I made the (talk) part higher up using the code, would that have anything to do with it? — Has Matt? (talk) 00:14, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah. You have a tag outside the double square brackets at the end - that tag should be inside those brackets for the sig to work properly. — KieferSkunk (talk) — 00:20, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
- Apparently that didn't fix it. Mind if I try playing around with it? — KieferSkunk (talk) — 00:23, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
- Alrighty, got it. I used a CSS version of the tag, and you had a second problem: You forgot to close the <small> tag. Seems to have fixed the problem. :) — KieferSkunk (talk) — 00:32, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
- Not a problem! :) Glad to be of service. — KieferSkunk (talk) — 00:37, 1 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] TROLL IN THE DUNGEON
Someone has trolled the KOT Email Page and I dont know how to revert it. Can you help me? Marth 99
- Just so you know, I already reverted it. You can revert a page by clicking on the tab that says "history" at the top of the page. Then click on the time of the version you want to revert back to. Click the edit tab at the top and don't edit anything, just put a note in the summary box saying you are reverting because of a troll. Oh, by the way, Happy New Year! — Has Matt? That's what it was for, I wanted to see what the box looks like; I have that on my Wikipedia page, so I copy-and-pasted it here, but I couldn't remember exactly what the box looked like and whether it was slightly different here (turns out, the difference is that on Wikipedia it has a second link to the edit history of your talkpage) (and also I had to change the page it linked to, since it's a different site. - Soitenly! First off, I might as well tell you that you don't always have to click on the edit tab at the top of the screen to edit a page and fish through all that text to find what you want. If you want to edit just one section of a page, like, say, inside references, there should be a link that says "edit" on top of the Inside References heading. Click on that, and you'll only be editing that section, making things a whole lot easier. Doing that will automatically generate /* Inside References */ in the edit summary, so it shows up grey in Recent changes. To manually make it grey with a link to the section, just put the brackets and the asterisks outside the text. Hope this answers your question! — Has Matt? (talk) 23:05, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Screenshot
Holá Has Matt?, just a question. Are users allowed to put the, um, {{web-screenshot}} images on a user page? Bluebry 00:49, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
- Sure! You can use those images for just about anything, even if their main use is for the actual Wiki. If you couldn't use those images on user pages, just think of all the personal images that would have to be needlessly uploaded! — Has Matt? (talk) 00:51, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
- Moreover, they don't count towards your personal image limit. --Stux 01:50, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
- Cool. Hey, can I use images from OTHER sites? (I still think no... dunno why) Also I added a personal image. Check it out! Main22TangerineDreams.PNG . Bluebry 02:03, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
- I think you can. Benol has a lot of images from other websites, you could ask him. I don't know how to do it, however. By the way, that's a cool Tangerine Dreams gallery you've got there! — Has Matt? (talk) 02:08, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the images! But don't worry, I knew about those. I did a search. I want ones that actually show Tangerine Dreams. Thanks anyways! Bluebry 02:54, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
- Hey! I got this pic, and um, should I put it on the Tangerine Dreams page? Full Dreams Flash.png . Bluebry 16:35, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

I saw that one, it looks cool! I think you should put it in the gallery at the bottom of the page. — Has Matt? (talk) 16:41, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
- On mine or Tangerine Dreams? (Sorry about asking a lot of questions, By the way) Bluebry 16:43, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] You can delete it now.
Hey, you can get a sysop to delete that subpage now. Sorry about that, I have made it to how it is supposed to be. I want to have everything I do here to be good, no matter how big or small, but I know I will mess up a few times. So, thanks for pointing that out. Beat 01:08, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hey
I just became a member of the Welcoming Commitee AND The Recent Changes Patrol. Thought you should know. hi. --Bluebry 02:05, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
- Grood! Joining committees really helps the Wiki and it helps to convey a better sense of community among members. You can get to know a lot of different users through committees. Good luck with reverting edits and welcoming new users! — Has Matt? (talk) 02:08, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
- Hey, thanks for putting me on your cool people list! (Which I saw 'cause I'm on Recent Changes.) Bluebry 03:14, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
- No problem! You seem to be really nice and involved with the Wiki, and I can definetly see you becoming an even better user in the near future. Keep on tranglin'! — Has Matt? (talk) 03:16, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
- Keep on tranglin'. And Bluebryan. Also, I can't believe about the guestbook thing. I still haven't figured out if I was the first one with twins! 19:28, 22 January 2006 (UTC)Bluebry 19:28, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] What do you think?
Hey, I was wondering about the song that Strong Bad sang in portrait. You know, the "musical" part? Except for the last couple of notes, it sounds like the song from Fall Float Parade. I was considering getting this fact STUFF'd, but there's a few things:
1. I do not know how to STUFF a fact.
2. I'm nervous because I just know it will be rejected.
3. I wanted a third-party opinion to see if it would be worth it.
Do you think the musical part of portrait sounds like Fall Float Parade? Check it out if you need to, and reply to me on my talk page. Get back to me ASAP. --Nintendostar_Runner
- Well, if you think they sound similar, go ahead, and put it on there. I might as well tell you, though, it's probably just a coincidence. If a toon is this old and there are still inside references that haven't been noticed, it usually is not a reference. But if you want to know how to STUFF a fact, go to HRWiki:STUFF. — Has Matt? (talk) 20:17, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
- And actually, it is in portrait#Inside References. I buy it. (But yeah, proving the "if it hasn't been noticed in the first two weeks it probably isn't valid" rule. Now typos, on the other hand—I seen some typos from years ago just now being fixed!) —AbdiViklas 21:09, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
- Crap, I should really start paying attention more often! — Has Matt? (talk) 21:14, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

- You're weclome! I just saw it on Heimstern's talk page and I couldn't resist! Thanks for the kick-awesome parody! Bake off every 'cupcake'! You know what you doing. Bake 'cupcake'. — Has Matt? (talk) 20:20, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Welcoming
You won't believe it! Some of the first people's I ever welcom'd were trolls (at least they were blocked). Horrible day. Bluebry 02:10, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, I noticed. Just so you know, a vandal is impersonating you right now, with the name "Banaa muffin". Better go chack it out. — Has Matt? (talk) 02:13, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
- Don't feel bad, Bluebry. You're gaining valuable wiki experience. Level up! —BazookaJoe 02:14, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
- Take off every 'troll'! You know what you doing. Block 'troll'. For great justice. — Has Matt? (talk) 02:16, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
- I'm a little confused. According to Recent Changes and User Contribs, User:Banaa muffin hasn't made any edits at all, and nobody ever welcomed him/her. Did I miss something? — KieferSkunk (talk) — 02:45, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
- It's a possible Willy on Wheels sockpuppet, though I can't be sure because I don't have the tools available to determine that. The other admins may be able to determine that. But, we'll let Banaa muffin sleep, we'll let the welcome stay, and we will probably never see the user again. —BazookaJoe 02:47, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
- Probably good policy to welcome other accounts that were created during the fray when we see them make positive edits, eh? Their Talk links will still be red at that point. — KieferSkunk (talk) — 02:51, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
- That's how we welcomed in the past, yeah. —BazookaJoe 02:52, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

Oh, yeah. Knew about Banaa muffin. I don't really mind. He'll never be the real Bluebrawesomeness (for $20, I'll never say that again. Just kiddin) Bluebry 03:10, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, I kinda like it. If I'm known to a non-wiki user so much (s)he impersonates me, that's kinda cool. To me. Awesome. Even if Banaa muffin defaces MY user page (not like I think (s)he will, I'll still have an impersonator. Cool! Also, did you know SNL is on iTunes? So cool! Bluebry 03:34, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Cool person of the week
Your on my cool peson of the week right now. TheThingé 17:00, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
- Whoa, sweet! This is the first thyme I've ever been someone's cool person of the week! Thanks a lot, The Thing! I'ma go celebrate by buying a trophy! Or maybe a pizza. Or, maybe a... bag of... Skittles... or something... — Has Matt? (talk) 17:06, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] New Page!
I made a new page! Check it out! Authorless Books Bluebry 21:51, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
- The first one is prooty cool! I always wanted a page listing all of the book in HSR, not just the ones that have authors. The second one, I'm not so sure about. It looks like it could be merged with Podstar Runner. Guess we'll just have to see what happens and wait it out. — Has Matt? (talk) 01:06, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, it really should. Bluebry 01:12, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] IRC
Subject: IRCdear srongbaf,
how do u do irc? can you tell me about chat.hrwiki.org <this one?
Bluebry South Gate CA
Umm, seriously, I am really confused on IRC. Especially when it says "You cannot connect" for one reason or another. Anyways...ASK'D! Bluebry 02:35, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry I didn't reply earlier. There was a reason, but I forgot. Anyway, I really don't know about the IRC either. I tried to get on one time, and it gave me that same "You cannot connect" message. I really would like to go on the IRC, but I have no idea how. Sorry I wasn't much of a help. You should take it to someone else on this one.
Sorry to crush your hopes and dreams,

[edit] Sim City 3000
Your things on your list, "Ctrl+Shift+Alt+C" and "I can speak Simlish" refer to Sim City 3000, right? Ctrl+Alt+Shift+C is for entering cheats!-- Benol, aka Coach B 21:25, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
- Whoa, you're the second person to figure that out! (The first was DorianGray, I believe.) I really didn't think anyone would notice that. You get Most Improved. Ding! — Has Matt? (talk) 22:17, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

- Yeah, I saw the one on your userpage already. They're both really awesome! I was actually kind of afraid you'd be mad at me for using that image, but it was abandoned, so I figured you wern't going to use it anymore. Thank you for letting me put it on my page! — Has Matt? Where did you get evil brownies from?? TheThingé 14:29, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Great joerb
Has Matt?, I've been patrolling the recent changes today and I've noticed that you've made a substantial amount of quality edits today. Great Work! You've fixed countless link on many, many pages. Keep it up. I R F 19:45, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for the compliment! The only reason I'm able to do so many edits today is because I have a stomach virus and I'm staying home from school. I don't really feel all that bad right now, but I have to stay home because the doctor said I have to wait 48 hours, for some reason that I either forgot or am to lazy to elaborate on. I'm also glad that someone (Thunderbird) is finally cleaning up the Store. I would help him, but I don't really know what to do, and it seems he's cleaned up pretty much everything by now. — Has Matt? (talk) 20:12, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
